I liked the location. Value for money. Comfortable and warm room with electric blanket. Great for sleep. Large tv. Had one comfy chair. And 2 dining chairs great to heat up food from supermarket. I would stay again even though the tiles are retro.

Very Small gripes. Not enough to prevent me from returning. The sliding door to the outside was unlocked. We don’t realise until day 3 of 5. The tap in the bathroom sink made it challenging to fill up the kettle. You had to use a glass then tip it into the kettle multiple times. There was hair in the shower drain. But the remainder was spotless.

Very convenient location, close to Woolies, fuel and restaurants. Rooms were spacious, larger than your average motel room. Beds were comfy, had heating blankets which helped during cold Autumn mornings. Rooms had sliding doors which open up to the garden area which was a plus. Free spacious parking onsite. Swimming pool is a plus but I don't think it's heated (as noone seemed to use it in April while the weather was turning cold); but would be lovely in summer

Shower head was loose, had to hold it while taking a shower. Prefer if the rooms had two single bed options as well, but wasn't a deal breaker.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant to deal with. Very affordable. Enough space for a family of 5. The room was bigger than I expected. We were travelling with a family puppy and it was a huge plus that we were allowed to have our puppy in the room with us for a tiny extra fee... The beds were comfortable. Everyone slept well. Playground, swings and swimming pool very close by and clean. Only a 2mintue drive to town. You can park straight out the front of your room which is a bonus for unpacking and packing the car. Very affordable. Would stay again.

The furniture was very old, the tv wasn't a smart tv and channels wouldn't change so we could only watch ABC Kids.

The rooms are a little dated but are spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious with fridge toaster and are where you can prepare your own breakfast. The location is very convenient. You can easily walk into town and the river is a stone's throw away. At the time, the rooms were not having a daily service but you could always get clean towels and other supplies. The owners are very obliging. I contacted them outside business hours and they were responsive and able to attend to my enquiry immediately. They also gave us a late check out. This motel is not the ritz but represents exceptional value for money.

The temperature of the water in the shower. Didn't get really hot water. Just warm enough. As with most motels, it can be a bit noisy around 7-9 am as people start their car engines to depart.

Great size room and comfy bed.

Need a microwave and if unable to service your room daily the cost is overpriced, especially when you stay 5 nights. The bathroom needs an update too and it would have been good to be able to key lock the screen door. Lastly, the walls are super thin, can hear everything and need a power point near the bed.

Pet friendly, rooms all surround an open courtyard with a sliding door so very easy to take our dogs outside as they needed to. Comfy bed and couch, good sized little fridge/freezer which was great as dog food needed to be refrigerated. In a really great location, walking into town in the morning along the river was so lovely. Split system heater and heated blankets kept us nice and warm. Room was really clean. Decor/furnishings were a little outdated but overall really great for the price and for being pet friendly!

Song was such an awesome host, nothing was too much trouble and she was so accomodating and friendly. The location was fantastic and our two dogs were welcome as well. Would definitely stay again!

The wifi signal was a little weak in our first room but Song moved us to another room as soon as we flagged the issue. The wifi was perfect after that!

It was our 2nd time staying in this property and has maintained its standards and cleanliness over the years. It always exceeded our expectations. The room was set, complete and warm to keep us comfortable when we checked in late at night. Value for the money and will definitely stay here again for our next visit to Bright. Our home away from home.

This place is at a great location in a cute little town. It was clean with comfy beds. Was able to park car right outside the front door which was convenient.

The wifi signal was bad but that could just be due to the location.

The High Country did an excellent job as the town of Bright on our arrival was completely out of power. The staff were more than happy to help with anything and made you aware that the power would be back by 5:30pm - which it was. We totally appreciated that our beloved Frenchie was able to come and stay with us, which we found very pet friendly. Great bbq and again staff more than happy to assist with anything we may have needed.

The vendor machine was turned back on after power came back on and after 9pm - all shops in Bright were closed
