The garages next to each hotel was extremely convenient. The hotel was comfortable and clean, can’t complain! The staff were super nice and friendly, probably the nicest staff at any hotel I’ve been. The beds were comfortable, it was quiet, couldn’t hear a single noise by any hotel guests nearby. The tv had a good variety of channels to choose from. The shower was awesome, great water pressure, water got hot/warm immediately just how I like it! They also give you a little map so you can easily walk to Universal, about a 10 min walk. I would recommend taking the shuttle, we didn’t and we were trying to catch our breath going up that large hill. Overall amazing stay, highly recommend if you’re planning to go to Universal!

The toilet wasn’t flushing at first but we managed to fix it right away after lifting the toilet lid and moving things around. Other than that, no issues whatsoever.

This place is an absolute gem—truly a rare find. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the entire space is spotless, the bed is incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom is modern and pristine. The location couldn’t be better. But what really sets this place apart is the host—Robert is simply exceptional. His hospitality goes above and beyond, and he made us feel not just welcome, but genuinely at home. I’m already looking forward to my next stay. An easy five stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up! 👍🏾👍🏾

We liked it all!!

The hotel was so close to Universal Studios for a fairly decent price! We were able to Lyft to and from the park for about half the price of parking. The property itself is very charming, with cute lights and plants located around the lot that felt very cozy. There’s tons of stores and restaurants nearby but even though it was on a fairly busy street, the room was nice and quiet. Everything was very clean and neat and they even left a cute bouquet of plastic flowers on the pillow. The staff is the greatest part about this property though! We encountered three different staff members during our stay and all of them were some of the nicest and most attentive people I’ve met at a hotel. I had an issue with Booking.com saying my credit card didn’t go through day of and I didn’t receive the email notifications to update my payment with warnings that my booking could be cancelled until after the deadline. One call to the front desk and they cleared everything up and we were able to check in no problem! We also had an issue with our TV only being able to turn on but not change the channel and the staff actually installed a new sensor on our tv within minutes. I would stay here again absolutely and I already want to go back!

I do wish that the pictures online showed the motel style rooms as well because I only saw the bungalow style from Booking so I had assumed we would get to stay in one of the cute little units but it was a more classic motel style. Still cute and clean, just a little unexpected.

Robert the receptionist at night was very understanding that will be arriving late and will not make the check in time at 10pm. Had accommodate us. Even lets us park our car during an exploration in universal studios the next day.

The only I find lacking was - they offered coffee on the room but no cups or cream. And in the website - they said continental breakfast available and went to nearest lobby entrance in my room- and the am receptionists stated (which I forgot to ask for his name) it’s in main lobby. So we went and the only thing there was stale coffee and 3 muffins. And we wasn’t helpful. I’m also there to check-out and no personal on the lobby. Need to call multiple times and he seems not interested of helping us.

Toilet missed towel racks

We booked this room two nights before our stay and thought the price was reasonable for booking so late, especially compared to prices at other hotels/airbnbs. The staff were really nice when we arrived and the room was clean and had everything we needed. I left some items in the closet upon checking out, and the staff were very responsive and helpful in getting them back to me!

We liked everything! We wished we stayed in the "older" side of the hotel because it was flowery and cozy looking compared to the "newer" side which was a bit monotone. We would have loved to say in the older side but still really liked our room in the newer side.

I recently stayed at El Royale Hotel near Universal Studios, and it was an outstanding experience! The designated parking was a huge plus, making it super convenient, especially given how close the hotel is to Universal Studios. The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day at the park. What truly set this hotel apart, though, was the staff—they were absolutely the best, going above and beyond to ensure a great stay. I highly recommend El Royale for anyone visiting Universal Studios!

The location was great. We picked this place because of its walking proximity to Universal Studios Hollywood. It took my siblings and me less than 15 minutes to walk to the shuttle pick-up station. We saved ourselves $35-$70 for parking (depends on which parking you prefer)

One of our beds was not made when we were out. But I figured they didn't make it due to some of our stuff on the bed. Honestly, it wasn't even a big deal, we were so tired after Universal Studios we couldn't care less if our bed was made or not.

I have absolutely no complaints. I promised Xavier, one of the aides I’d leave a review cause he’s such a jokester 😂 so here it is. My wife and I came from out of state and were going to universals and exploring LA, so this location was perfect. We were given water and snacks as soon as we arrived and just felt so welcomed. The location is very safe considering there is a gate that closes at around midnight. They remembered we were going to universals and were going to be out late, so they left the gate slightly open for us to get back in. Ralph’s, Starbucks, gas, all close by. For the price we paid for 3 days, no other hotels in the area could compare and their reviews speaks for itself. Rooms were comfortable and quiet with mini fridge, microwave and your own parking space. Don’t sleep on this hotel, the guys here will take care of you!

The staff are amazing and so friendly. Bonus breakfast muffins and coffee from 7am that we weren't expecting. We stayed there for Universal and it was a 15 minute walk away. Rooms are lovely and clean and they provide basic toiletries. Very quiet and free parking is a bonus.

The room had a slight smell that was more noticeable when you first enter. Kind of like a old flower smell, think it was from the AC unit. Once you're in the room a while you didnt notice as much.
