We stayed at Hotel Friuli for one night during our road trip from Udine to Florence and Rome. The hotel offered everything we needed for a short tourist stop: a clean and quiet double room with a comfortable bed and good air conditioning. The private parking in the courtyard was a big plus, especially since it was free of charge. The hotel is also conveniently located — just about a 10-minute walk from the city center, which made it easy to explore a bit even during a short stay. The bathroom was clean and functional, with good water pressure and enough toiletries provided. The breakfast was typically Italian — mostly pastries, cereal, and packaged items. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely consider coming back for a short stopover in Udine.

There were no vegetables or cooked options like eggs or sausages, so keep that in mind if you prefer a fuller breakfast.

The hotel is 5min walk from the city centre, easy access from the main road, large parking in front and in the back of the hotel. The room was spacious and had everything you need, including a small fridge. The bed was comfortable and you get a 2 set of pillows which and I can finally say that the pillows were excellent! The breakfast was included in the price.

The air conditioning wasn’t working in the room for some reason. While the breakfast was included in the price, it lacked variety. There were no vegetables, salad choices, more meat and cheese specialties. Coffee had to be ordered separately, it was no self-serve. The elevators were a bit small and slow.

Everyone was very kind to my dog and I was not charged extra for coming with a pet. Breakfast was simple but fine. The room was quite large and clean. The view over the mountains and the city was magnificent and the sunset from my room window was spectacular.

There was no storage for leaving your luggage if you came early or had to wait for your transportation after checking out. However, the staff found a spot for me to leave my luggage. Also, I was asked to check out an hour earlier than they initially said would be the case because it was a very bussy day, but in the end they did not insist after I told them what was stated on Booking.

Walking distance to all the major tourist attractions, free parking, smooth check in and a good coffee specially done by two lovely ladies at continental breakfast are the things worth mentioning.

New bed covers would be nice (although old but clean), a complimentary quick look into the bathroom style from last century, but that's ok (some ventilation or heating would do the magic) and if by any chance in the future you would provide kettle with some teabags that would be nice. But then again, that wouldn't be a 3 star hotel, so that's really not a complaint.

Modern Business Type hotel. Good size bedroom and bathroom. Breakfast was standard fare though no hot food available. Staff polite and helpful when required. Location was central and although limited amenities nearby an easy ten to fifteen walk got you into the Old Town. Arrival by bus or train with luggage probably required taxi as approx 30 minute walk. Would use again if returning.

Nothing to dislike though although a small bar on premises was never open.

Location was excellent as just steps away from San Marco Square. Also, interesting to watch the gondoliers (from my window) prepare their boats each morning. My room was across the canal from Hard Rock Cafe, but because it was January, it was very quiet with no discernible music or noise. Also, enjoyed the flower box right outside my room window.

Breakfast was overall good, but absolutely avoid(!) either the scrambled eggs or the hard-boiled eggs (I know -- it's difficult to mess up a hard-boiled egg). They were both gummy and tasteless. My room was very warm--and as unable to regulate the heat--resorted to opening one of the windows (although it was January). Traveling with a friend and she also commented that her room was too warm and also opened a window.

The room was amazing, and it had a nice view of the road and the city center. The breakfast had a lot of options, and the staff there were very helpful. The reception was also kind and helpful. Worth another stay there!

The room key had a very heavy key ring. It was difficult to carry it with me when I was out for a walk. This is the only negative comment for this place.

The hotel was perfect location, as 5-7 minutes by walk to the centre. It is the best choice for 1-2 night in Udine. If You are for business trip or with private tour both can meet in Hotel Friuli.

We arrived by bikes. The garage was backround and sometimes open, but it was still safe. I guess because of the recontruction. It did not disturb us, though there will be nicer, when it will be ready.

Our room was excellent. We prefer twin beds but we were given a room that was 2 rooms with 2 very separate beds. Hurrah. Breakfast was good with a selection of foods. Parking facilities were very good and included in the price. We thought the hotel was good value. It is a short walk into the historic centre. Would stay again.

The only thing we didn't like was the exceptionally rude, unfriendly and unhelpful receptionist who was on duty when we arrived (11.30 on 18.4.23). We were early and did not expect to be able to check in but wanted to leave our car. She was abrupt and rude. When we asked for directions to the historic centre she just gestured with her thumb. Didn't offer us a map (which we were given later by a much nicer lady who checked us in). This person is spoiling peoples impression of your hotel. She is an older lady with blond/grey hair and glasses.

Everything about this hotel was amazing, I can only recommend! It was really close to the historical center of the city (like 5 min walk), one street away was a big beautiful park which was very convenient as we have a dog. Rooms were tidy, comfortable and modern with big flat screen TV. The staff was very helpful, breakfast was tasty. All in all - perfect.

Our rooms were facing the main street, so in the morning traffic with the windows open it was getting a bit loud, but they were very soundproofed, so once closed, everything went silent.
