Nice room, clean and comfy. Staff were all friendly and our dog was welcome. The hotel itself is pretty, plants outside are outstanding.

Toilet seat was a bit iffy, it sort of collapses when you sit on it. two out of three light bulbs were out and both bath taps say cold. No food available for us on Sunday evening or Monday morning for breakfast There was a street party going on outside, I do wish we had been told when we booked. It was very loud and did make it hard to get about and everywhere that served food was full so we ended up eating a sandwich from sainsburys

Location excellent - right on the High Street. Hotel has car park to the rear which is good as otherwise it's paid in the town centre.

Confused with housekeeping. Stayed 4 nights. After 1st night room made up and cleaned. 2nd night room not made up. 3rd night requested all new towels - came back - room not tidied/bed not made again - dirty towels hung up to dry from floor where they were left. Reported to reception who replaced them. 4th night room not made up again. Were we doing something wrong ? Expect better service when paying £459 for the stay and no breakfast included. Room 4 okay but bathroom tired - needs some decoration

Spacious room. Comfy bed. Lovely big claw bath. Tea and coffee in room. We’re not really breakfast people so didn’t use this service. Staff very accommodating and polite. Rooms cleaned and replenished everyday. We liked the little room dedicated to Keith moon who use to own the pub in the 60s & 70s. Great location. Jeremy clarksons pub only 25 minutes away well worth a visit and diddly squat farm shop minutes away. Bourbon the water 30 minutes away and stow on the wold about 15 minutes away all very easy to get to with sat nav. Great bakery and lovely coffee shop nearby. We managed to get parked in car park which is accessed of the high street round the back of the pub. Lovely big pub and wasn’t noisy at all at night so slept well.

I like soya or oat milk and they had a few sachets that they gave me but said they don’t always have it, although I didn’t request this when booking as I didn’t think I needed to as I thought most places now have that choice. I think by not serving dinner until 6.30pm they are missing out on potential customers as we found this too late to eat so went elsewhere. They’re the only two things we didn’t like. Having said that we would stay again and would recommend to others as a good place to stay.

Don’t listen to all the bad reviews, I was on the verge of changing this hotel. It’s was great, yes a little dated but that doesn’t effect it’s use. Our room was modern, clean, very comfy bed, everything we needed for our stay. Lovely area outside at the back, clean tidy and well kept. Helpful staff, great location, sun on the front of the hotel with a few seats to have a drink and look out onto the main high street.

Bathroom sink needed a good clean! Nothing some bleach wouldn’t fix. Plug hole dirty as was the overflow with green scum. Shame as this was the only thing negative, not one to moan but did need some bleach in the sink.

what a Gem of a hotel we arrived and welcomed by a member of staff we where allocated room 21 what a lovely room it was supper clean ,2 bottles of water and a fan bed was so comfortable we did not want to get up best nights sleep ever in a hotel bathroom was lovely the bath was a roll top and lovely shower towels where supper clean and fluffy ,we had a few drinks and sat in the garden all staff where so welcoming lots of smiles we spoke to lovely locals who give us lots of history about the history of the Hotel thank you so much to all staff they made our stay so very lovely we cant wait to return

A lovely hotel with a lot of history in a good location. Our room was a comfy double 4 poster bedded room (Room 22) which was very spacious with the bed being on a raised area with steps leading up to it and a little sitting area below with the tv and dressing table. Breakfast was extra and just a continental breakfast during the week, but there was a good selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, pastries and tea and coffee for £9 each, so worth the money.

Our bathroom was a bit small and the shower was over the roll top bath with a shower curtain pulled around you so it was a little cramped. Parking at the back of the property was a bit tight, especially when it got busier.

Loved the four poster beds which seemed to be in all of the rooms that we and our family stayed in . Was exceptionally clean and well provided with all we would expect to have . We had originally booked two nights but couldn’t make the first night and didn’t know that till early evening , we informed them and we expected we would have had to pay for that night as the info through Booking.com says we would but when we went to book out and pay the owner said she had taken that night off , which was very generous. Would absolutely stay there again . The staff were very polite and helpful . The bar was well run and the bar snacks were very good . Recommend the Cheesy chips

We went to The Crown & Cushion for 2 nights as it was our 48th wedding anniversary and we can honestly say we wasn't disappointed in fact we were overwhelmed by the Hotels generosity! we got upgraded to a four poster bed room with wine, Chocolates, balloon, rose, fairy lights, and on the bed a towel Swan surrounded by petals. we couldn't have happier and it made our special day even better. Absolutely love the hotel it is in a prime position in walking distance of pubs, cafe and shops. The staff are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble, they work so hard to please. We had a couple of meals at the hotel and food was first class and plenty of it. We have already decided that we will definitely return again to The Crown & Cushion. Thank you all for making our 2 nights with you very special.

Booked a four poster bedroom with en suite shower room. Found the room spacious with character.There was some nice touches in the bedroom. Decor was pleasing to the eye. Visitors who want ultra modern should look elsewhere. Parking was not an issue and found it very easy to park. Hotel has a lot of history. The owner was very approachable and the staff were very professional and welcoming. Ate in the Restaurant in the Bar area. Found the food well priced and very generous. Tasty too. Booked this Hotel because wanted to visit the Rollright stones found nearby and needed a base for a night. The room overlooked a road and I did not hear any noise from traffic at night. Breakfast was served in an interesting Dining area with original features, such as parquet flooring. Found the Breakfast was more than ample for our needs. Had a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Initially our twin room was on 3rd floor as it was the best for a view, but one person has some difficulties with a lot of stairs and there’s no lift. No problem changing it and they even allowed me to choose our room from ones available after a little tour! Fabulous staff and owner advised us on places to visit. Came for Diddly Squat which is only a few miles away. Bourton on the Water beautiful. Room was comfortable, spotless and perfect for us. Bar area lovely. Didn’t try the continental breakfast that was available as we are not breakfast people. Hotel is in perfect central spot for visiting the restaurants and pubs. Free car park at rear too. Cannot fault it, and will definitely stay here again if another trip in the area 😊
