Loved the surprise of having a bedroom all to myself. Very clean, housekeeping was wonderful. Grateful for the AC and fan in the rooms. Tv and cable worked great. Easy 25 minute walk to downtown with a great view of the water. Restaurant attached to hotel was amazing and the best Pho place with a seaside view is only 15 minutes away.

The bedroom door didn't close and the bed frames were wildly squeaky. No plug for the bath tub. The smart tv functions didn't work.

The staff was super friendly and helpful and accommodating. The grounds were well maintained. The rooms were clean and tidy, even the floors were mopped. There were wonderful amenities that were all working well. It was in a great location and easy to access all the important areas.

There were a lot of people smoking on the area. Some of them were in designated areas, but some of them were not. Its hard when you are traveling with kids when the other guests are smoking outside of designated areas. I know that is probably hard to enforce, but it would help. It would also be great if there were amenities like paper plates/bowls/utensils/etc that are available to guests if they so need.

The location was nice and central to any where you want to be in Nanaimo. Its quiet and cozy enough stay for a night or two! It was only a few mins away from the Ferry terminal so made for a quick stop to check in before we had our adventure!

Well the giant ant I had to battle to get in the door was a great start. The water pressure was pretty terrible, the shower was nice and tiled with a non slip floor mat and a great big rain shower head...well the water drizzled out and barley covered one person. The one way parking lot was a bit sketchy

I loved everything, it's calm, the staff is so full of life and really helpfull. They have a super cute dog at the office and she loves the attention❤️ The garden right in the middle is such a unique touch.

Nothing! We had a really hard time that week in my life and everything at the motel helped me calmed down and not think about the negative.

Very clean, spacious rooms.

Staff communication was a bit lacking. I spoke to someone at reception before checking in, had the room picked, but when I arrived, nobody knew about the accommodations we had agreed to. There were also things like forgotten extra towels when requested, extra soap when requested, etc.

Fridge + microwave + coffee machine was perfect for my needs. I had an air-conditioner & a fan which was perfect : cooled the room down ... then just the fan at night for sleeping. Liked having the Korean restaurant on site - after a long day at a workshop it was nice to not have to find food ! Balcony off the room with table & chairs just perfect for morning coffee & breakfast (my own) overlooking the palm trees in the garden square, and relaxing with a glass of wine at the end of the day. I liked the floors being wood : never been crazy about carpeted hotels ! Despite being on the corner of a major intersection - not at all noisy. However - this offered instant access to the rest of Nanaimo - only 7 mins from the Ferry terminal. Very quiet - no disturbances even though it was a weekend. Free parking conveniently near the room .

The TV was big - but very complicated to access - so after a while I didn't bother. However when I asked for assistance a maintenance person came up right away and adjusted the settings.

The renovations were very nice, a lot of thought went into little extras that lost hotels don’t have, little extra touches. The pillows were amazing, and they had lots - whic is rare in hotels, the beds were clean and comfortable , I got a great sleep - which I never usually do!! There was a portable air conditioner in the bedroom and two fans in the main area that kept it cool. Semi private little decks outside with a chair and little box of flowers, a little elegant metal vanity in the bathroom with soaps and shampoos set on with a facecloth fanned out behind them, extra large towels on the clothes rack outside the bathroom (what hotel ever provides extra towels) it had a huge shower head so the shower was fantastic! This was way nicer than many 5 star hotels. So clean and refreshing. We were on foot, and it is located in walking distance to restaurants and amenities. Overall 5 star rating from me, I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back!!!

Can’t say anything, it was as close to perfect as you can get!!! :D

This place has been recently renovated! the bathroom was really great, the rooms have nice facilities. Everything you need for a nice budget stay. Many more expensive places are less well kept and convienient.

The room had a smell of cigarettes' smoke upon first entering. I opened the windows and it was enough to let the air flow. If you or your partner are very sensitive to smells etc it could be a bit much. However, for me it was fine.

We had two rooms with a kitchen area between them. Everything was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and just a five minute drive from the ferry terminal. Helpful staff phoned us in advance to ease check in.

A small area rug might make the rooms feel more cozy.

Staff were excellent. Room was clean mostly updated...Had couple of problems with the room. They were dealt with quickly.

The blanket on bed had hole in it. It wasn't clean and had scotch tape on it. There was no coffee in room. It was rectified but it was annoying.
