The hotel was in a fantastic location, right near the heart of downtown, George and Water streets, and very close to the harbour for any boat trips, such as whale watching. The hotel itself was so beautiful! Very tastefully designed with a rock and roll theme and we had a kick looking at all the photos of rockstars and musicians. The lounge areas, coffee bar and Exile restaurant were fantastic. We didn't get to use the pool or spa but the spaces were beautiful. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and had great suggestions on where to go and things to see. It is a unique looking hotel that we would definitely love to stay in next time we are in St. John's.

The rooms were spacious, beds were comfy and bathrooms were big. The only negative was that the bathroom did not have a fan so it got pretty steamy after a shower.

The JAG Hotel was better than we expected. The Rock n Roll music vibe was great. Their attention to detail from the moment we walked into the lobby, our suite and then the restaurant was so interesting and enjoyable. From the coasters with pictures of the great singers of Rock to the notes with chocolate that were left in our room. The artwork displayed in the lobby snd restaurant added to the great vibe. Our suite’s theme was the Rolling Stones. Great music was always playing in the lobby, elevator and in the restaurant. The food in the Exile restaurant was excellent for breakfast and we had dinner there on our last night. The staff were also excellent!!!!! Alex and Daniel in the restaurant and the concierge who gave us advice on our sightseeing. The valet and the housekeeping staff were all so kind. Our suite was so comfortable and clean as well. I would highly recommend the JAG hotel to anyone who is visiting St. John’s. We will be back!!!!

The only thing that I would suggest is to add some brighter lighting in the suites. I understand that the dim lighting and lamps were to add to the ambience but it was difficult at times to find things in our suitcase etc.

Upon check-in my room was upgraded to waterfront view so that was greatly appreciated. The room was very clean and new so that was very nice as well. The hotel itself is decorated so uniquely and very ornate. I was impressed by the overall appearance. I also liked the café in the lobby-- it gives a big city feel to the hotel. Another nice thing about the hotel is that both restaurants remain open. The hotel is not a cookie cutter!!

I did not have the problem-- but if valet parking was not available it would be very difficult to find somewhere to park in that area of town.

The check-in was exemplary, all questions were answered and there were no surprises. The suite room was exceptionally spacious and well cared for by the staff. The extra-large bed and ample pillows were amazing. The bathroom was well cared for, and everything was very clean and in good order. There were two TVs in the room, nice if you tend to watch TV while laying in bed, we don’t but that’s ok. We requested extra coffees, and they were awaiting us on our return after dinner, nice touch. We attended Friday evening dinner at the on-premises Exile. The meals were amazing, with plenty of everything, including the outstanding service by Jennifer. We also did breakfast there Saturday morning. There were no complaints about breakfast, coffee was ample and excellent. Nothing to complain about.

There was nothing not to like.

Very helpful staff I asked one man last night where local pharmacy was I had damaged my leg and was on crutches when saw me sitting in the lobby the next day he came over and checked I was OK, a fabulous personal touch 😀 the 2 people on reception today couldn't have been more helpful

There were marks on underside of the toilet seat in the room not visible until I lifted the seat , otherwise spotless, ²

Staff were amazing and went out of their way with their customer service to make it an extremely pleasant stay! Restaurant has a nice ambiance and the food was exceptional. Room sizes were large and decorated in Rock music theme. Keurig and mini fridge were nice to have. The snack for purchase were reasonably priced for a hotel. Location was excellent - right across from St John's Convention Centre and on the doorstep of downtown. Again the staff are really amazing and try to go that extra mile for its patrons and in top 3 for customer service of all the places I've ever stayed.

- I arrived very early from an overnight flight and tried to check in quite early (8am) The staff were unable to accommodate but instead of a hard no - they were apologetic and they said they would contact me by cell once my room was ready. I came back to the hotel twice at 10 and noon but to no avail and ended up checking in closer to 230pm. I don't fault them for this as I think things got lost in the shuffle as I had spoken to someone different at the front desk. - the chair in my room is quite worn though the rest of the room isn't an issue and decorated nicely - sound carries in heavily from the hallway corridor (not so much the other rooms).

The meals were amazing, with plenty of everything, including the outstanding service by Chelsea. There were no complaints about breakfast. We then attended to dinner in the evening, and this was spectacular. The food was unbelievably delicious, well prepared, well served and ample. Our server, Daniel, was superb. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and gracious. Nothing to complain about.

Rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast at exile was delicious. We especially liked that we all got our own pot of coffee.

Shower floor grout looked moldy. The phone when we arrived did not work and was not fixed throughout our stay. The pedway from the first tower to the second tower was a bit inconvenient. Especially because the entry doors close in the first tower at 10 pm.

A very stylish boutique hotel in the heart of St. John's. They really take the rock and roll theme to the next level. Breakfast at Exile was very good. All the staff is very attentive. The lounge on Monday night before Canada Day was swamped but they did their best to keep up and brought in extra staff. The rooms are modern and well-appointed, very comfortable bed. Wonderful rain shower. All in all a great experience.

The room was great. We could see the whole harbour from our room. Our porter, Max, was very welcoming and informative. It was a great start to our trip.

The hotel didn't provide bottles of water in our room. But I think it might be a local policy? And you can get one bottle of water from the gym. Otherwise, we were told that we could buy bottled water near the lobby.
