We were welcomed with a glass of bubbly on arrival for the 2 pm check in. The very friendly receptionist made us feel good. Parking space is free in the courtyard. Walking distance to the beautiful medieval Beginage, cathedral and shopping streets. Room 12 is beautiful and very large, with original high ceilings beams, comfortable bed, with a big bath and view on a pond and trees. We were given extra heaters. Clarins products, lovely. The dinner was a gastronomic delight, especially the starters. Make sure you make a reservation.

The noisy heating air conditioning. Pillows need to be better quality,they were hard. The lighting in the bedroom was really basic: up lighters are needed. The buffet breakfast was a little basic.

Being in a deluxe room at the back of the hotel the second night had a lot of noise from the courtyard until 1am which kept us awake and spoilt the overall experience. Also the sliding wall for the staircase didn't open once which was very frightening for someone with claustrophobia although they were the only option as we don't use lifts

Near the city centre but with good and free car parking. Ideal for a stroll in a much nicer city than I expected. Design is very nice. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is good. Rooms are roomy, nice design and everything is there including an iron and a board and bath robes.

Sofas in the room were nice design but not really comfortable. Room service went a bit astray they brought the food but no pepper and salt and nothing to drink - this came much later by which time my food was cold. I think it was very very busy and they were a bit overwhelmed so I think it was a one-off but this was my experience. Prices are rising rapidly everywhere I guess but still at this price point the service was lacking somewhat. Staff were working visibly very hard and were friendly though.

The room was very comfortable. The breakfast and the room was as the 5 previous years excellent.

We couldn’t charge our electric car on the Porsche charger. But the staff tried several times to fix it. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. There were chargers 600m away. There was a festival in Kortrijk so access was a bit more difficult than normal. We still had private parking.

I have stayed at Messeyne since inception and it is a lovely hotel in a lovely town Kortrijk. The owner and staff know me and the smile and greeting I receive when I visit is warm and genuine. The quality of the building, the exceptional rooms and the restaurant and breakfast you just cannot fault.

If I have a very minor complaint it’s that there is only water in the mini bar but that is something that most hotels are like now since Covid.

Very warm welcome from our host, also for our dog he was so welcome. Beautiful boutique hotel in an amazing location, quiet but in the historic town& great parking. Very nice room and there was no noise.( courtyard room). Very good breakfast buffet in.their beautiful restaurant with the fire on and Christmas decorations. The Christmas market was 3 minutes away and town centre too. We be back!

Nothing it was.perfect.

Breakfast came with the room and it was wonderful. The room was large and the bathroom big including bathrobes and a heated towel rack.

The restaurant main courses were a bit high, but the veal at 45 euros was fine. But you had no idea how much drinks were and they were outragous. A small bottle of still water was 10 euors and a glass of wine 11.

Very welcoming staff, the atmosphere of the hotel is just perfect (congrats to the interior designers), wide selection at breakfast with a cook on site for the "egg-service" :-)

Just a minor thing as we arrived late night, there was insufficient parking for all guests but we assume the hotel was fully booked that night.

Lovely building. Air conditioned room. Nice shower and toilet. Coffee maker. Staff were very pleasant. Breakfast was quite good but not outstanding as I had expected from reviews. A pair of nice comfortable chairs. Lovely setting for breakfast and lovely garden. We got to the hotel fairly early so we were able to find a parking space in the underground car park. Only a short walk to the river promenade and city centre.

Not a lot of privacy in bathroom (toilet). Paper cups for coffee in bedroom!! No milk for tea in bedroom. The duvet is very heavy. BEWARE IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN - THERE POND IS DOWN A STEEP SLOPE AND UNFENCED.

The extremely high class of the hotel, the quality of the rooms , facilities, the people, and the breakfast make it a must place to spend some days at the end of our holiday. We have stayed 3 times now and will definitely be back. Its location is perfect for spending time near the river or in the town , just a few minutes walk!
