If you love Japanese style, including futons on the floor, this place is for you. Minimalistic and elegant, the rooms are simple and capsule style. I thought the futon was very comfortable. If you have a lot of luggage, you may have a problem. The location is fabulous. There was a temple festival around the corner that was stunning. The little alley way is charming with local stores and people and a wonderful pottery shop. The staff was very helpful with everything and answered many questions for me. I felt safe and comfortable. They have bikes for you to use also.

You have to know how to use QR code stuff to check in and use a code for a key, but for older travelers like me they give you a regular card key and help you check in. The hotel can be a bit hard to find. The taxi had dropped me off not at the exact spot, but I called and staff came to find me. A sign would be helpful.

Location is walkable to all major attractions in the Zhongxi District and the Tainan train station. The hotel is tailored for female guests with attractive decor and nice bathroom amenities (dyson hair dryer!). The air conditioning works great, the water pressure was good, and the bed was comfy. The hotel provides a great local guide in English that even includes a list of bars friendly to solo female travelers. SSS is cute and clean, but not upscale; the vibe is more like a stylish hostel than a 'boutique hotel'.

My room was 2 floors with a lofted bedroom area that required climbing a flight of narrow stairs. The room was very spacious, but I would not want to go up those stairs after a crazy night out.

This place is a gem with a lot of nice little touches. The bed also serves as a couch. It works kind of like a futon on the floor. Might be an issue for some people. Love the bathroom and the layout of the room. Location is great and tucked in an alley off Minzu Road. There’s a fun writing table, too.

A small fridge would have been nice. Not a problem for me but the front desk is only staffed from 10 am to 6 pm.

Quiet. Clean. Close to attractions, restaurants and stations. Futon was comfortable.

They refused to lay us change dates, even though they had empty rooms on the requested date. We wanted earlier, not later. Other hotels in Taiwan were much more accommodating. We also ran into a different issue so would arrive after checkin hours. I messaged them to explain but received no response. This caused anxiety as we were unsure if it works be a problem. On arrival, they said they had received our message so I don't understand why they wouldn't take a few seconds to send an ok emoji.

I loved my stay in Tainan and I absolutely loved SSS Life Hotel. It’s very centrally located in a small quiet alley. Close to everything. There are free bikes to rent, which makes it super easy to get around the city, visit all sights, cycle to the beach. Design of the rooms is great, futon bed very comfortable, and shared area downstairs just beautiful. Highly recommended for your stay in Tainan!

Location: Easy walking distance from train station, two blocks from Chikan Tower, truly in the middle of many useful key points. The Hostel provides free bikes which is a generous and superb service. The staff working there are young, kind, and helpful. As you enter the hostel, albeit being in a back alley way, the place is bright and full of joy. It has an almost Scandinavian design feel to the place, meets Japanese efficiency. One more note on the location for weary travelers, the mall across the street with an H&M on the bottom 2 floors has good restaurant (Mochi Mochi has a floor to ceiling glass view of the streets) and 4 stories worth of cinemas. All American and Japanese films are in their original language without dubbing and with Chinese subtitles - an enjoyable afternoon if you just want to sit and escape from the heat. Room: Size is good and plenty spacious, especially compared to other offerings in Taiwanese Hostels. Laundry: Free laundry service on the 6th floor is super useful... it would be helpful if there are laundry lines to allow for drying though.

Mattress: it's thin. I know this is a personal preference but more cushioning would make the sleep more comfortable. A bigger issue: the place and rooms are so well appointed that I wish the finishings of the place was more proper. The edges of the room sometimes make it feel unfinished... it doesn't take away from the overall experience, but paying attention to details would greatly elevate the establishment.

Really good location. Room was clean and spacious, they were able to give me a room last minute. Bath tub is wonderful. Facilities such as doing laundry and kitchen were also handy. Mattress was the most comfortable I’ve experienced so far and both me and my partner had the best sleep we’ve had so far in Taiwan. Staff were friendly and polite and felt welcoming.

I love the place! The room is just the right size for a solo traveller. And so cleverly and neatly designed. Its location is great being close to many distinct shops and lanes. They also included a very handy introduction to all the local delights around them.

The location is fairly central but advise not to try walking there from the main station with luggage. It’s quite a bumpy trip.

This is a cute and cozy hotel right in the center of Tainan — quiet and easy to get everywhere. It was my first time sleeping on a futon bed which was unique but not as comfortable as a normal bed. The rooms are small but have everything you need.

Interestingly renovated house. Nicely furnished small room. You can use the kitchen on the first floor to heat food up or store it in thr fridge. There are also a water suspender and a coffee mashine.

It's an old house, so rooms are not really sound proofed. I was in a room between two rooms and the sound from the gurgling pipes at shower time and people talking in their bathrooms could be noisy.
