My husband and I brought our daughter to a summer program at Smith. We wanted to stay a few days to make sure that everything was fine with our daughter and to explore the area. So glad that this hotel had some availabilities. The hotel cost a little more than we were expecting to pay, however, so glad that we took the chance. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised and felt very safe even though the hotel is slightly off the beaten path (next to a golf club). We felt welcomed by the staff. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was great. The location was convenient to everything and is quiet and serene. The room was extremely clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel even has a washer/dryer on premises (so that folks can travel light—-additional minimal cost). We are staying in the same hotel when we come to pick up our baby girl before going home. The only concern that I have is that the on site gym does not open up until 8:00 a.m. I asked the night shift personnel if he could open the door and let me in so that I could work out before breakfast starts. I was informed that the gym was on a time lock and he was unable to unlock the gym, but it would be open at 8:00 a.m. This was not a big problem. It was nice out that morning and I felt safe/comfortable in the area, so I walked around the parking lot for a half hour to get a workout in (however, I would have felt better if I could have gotten on the treadmill at 6:00 a.m.). Other than that very minuscule situation, D. Hotel Suites and Spa is a wonderful place to stay.

Upon my arrival, a person opened the door to the lobby for me and then apologized for assuming I needed help. This was very sweet since I was limping. The front desk clerk was professional, well groomed, and had a voice that I could listen to all day. My room was large, very clean and comfortable. The spa area was clean and the hot tub just right after a day of driving.

I did not use the pool. It was too cool for my liking. Breakfast was the weakest link of my entire stay. Very dry scrambled eggs, no fruit and no real cream or half and half. The only cereal was loaded with sugar. Coffee cups are small and flimsy.

The front desk staff were very warm and welcoming, and they were very accommodating. Jim in particular was super helpful. The facilities are all in great shape, and the pool is refreshing but not freezing, while the hot tub is hot but not burning. The breakfast when we stayed there had eggs, French toast sticks, sausage, cereals, oranges, yogurts, oat packets, home fries, and other items. The room had exactly what we needed and was very clean. No weird hotel smell, it was great. The bed was comfy and we had enough blankets and even extra. Plenty of charging outlets and lighting options.

Nothing - exceeded my expectations!

The staff were exceptionally friendly and kind. The pool and hot tub were wonderful; clean, well-heated, and beautiful with all the glass windows. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Good beds. We loved that the room didn't have carpet, it was truly clean. The restaurant attached to the hotel is good and accommodated our dietary needs. We could tell that the owner really cares about the condition of the hotel and the guests' experiences.

We were disappointed in the breakfast options. For example, the bagels taste like cloves which is very strange and there wasn't much in the way of fresh fruit. (A slimy fruit salad in little plastic cups.) One morning they ran out of the certified gluten free oats and so there was nothing for one of us to eat. We were also disappointed in the mini fridge in the room which froze our leftovers, which we then had to throw out. (Frozen Cesar salad from the restaurant next door.) We still really liked the hotel and will bring some of our own breakfast foods next time.

Very helpful staff! Laundry machines came in very handy also. Room was spacious, clean, and quiet.

The hotel needs better signage at their north road entrance. The northern access point is much easier to turn into when driving southbound down the main road but almost impossible to see as the hotel is not labeled. The main signage farther south at their second road access point is clear and easy to see but very difficult to turn in to when driving southbound because of the extreme obtuse angle of the intersection.

Very roomy. The bathroom had a nightlight which was very nice. We left the DND on the door when we went out and housekeeping slid a note under the door to let us know that they did not go into the room, but if we wanted anything to call the front desk. Knowing that the attempt was made was nice.

The mattress was very worn. It was squishy in the middle, but the frame around the edge was very strong. Sitting on the edge of the bed just to put on socks was uncomfortable.

-staff were attentive, polite, effective -room was clean, comfortable, quiet -included breakfast was well presented, tasty, had decent variety of items

-in-room toilet flush was very weak -plastic utensils / paper plates at breakfast (food itself met expectations) -would rather bulk liquid soap/shampoo/etc dispensers rather than wasting a whole unit of each on every guest, who is unlikely to consume the entire unit The above items were very minor concerns - but all have room for improvement. -pool area floor was especially slippery (no texture) - this was a real safety issue

Fantastic hospitality from front desk staff. We arrived after a long day of traveling, and the staff member who greeted us was wonderful, and even gave us a 20% off coupon for the hotel restaurant- much appreciated, since we didn't want to get back in the car to go out again. The room was great, very spacious, beds comfy and the breakfast was good- had a few more options than a normal hotel breakfast We appreciated that there were vegetarian and vegan options at both the restaurant and hotel breakfast. Convenient to both Mount Holyoke and Smith Colleges.

Everything was great!

From the minute we checked in everything was perfect! The front desk was able to accommodate a special request at check in. We stayed in a king suite. Very clean, spacious room, with big flat screen tv, desk area for squeezing in some work, very comfortable bed and pillows and strong wi-fi. The shower was nice and hot and the soaps and lotions supplied were Bath and Body Works. Every staff member we encountered, front desk, breakfast and housekeeping were so friendly. The complimentary breakfast options were great! Much more than most hotels offer. We never ate at the attached restaurant as there were so many great dining options a 10 min drive to downtown Easthampton, but the menu looked very good. Would definitely stay here again!

Nothing to dislike.

We were traveling for a family event, so several us were staying at the D Hotel. The breakfast area was not quite large enough for all the people using it, but the breakfast was better than most. The hotel let us use the breakfast area to eat dinner one night, which we ordered from a local mediterranean restaurant, which was very helpful. I liked the layout of the rooms, and they were quiet. Parking was easy as well.

Probably better to have a more traditional coffee setup (the one at the D made a cup at a time, after grinding the beans). People were not sure how to use it and it took longer to get a cup of coffee.
