We had a truly wonderful time at The Brunswick. From the moment we arrived, Mel’s warm and friendly service set the tone for a fantastic stay – thank you, Mel! The accommodation is beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and full of charm. The swimming pool was a great bonus, and we loved the exceptional value of both the cheese and seafood platters – absolutely delicious and perfect for a relaxed afternoon. The location couldn’t be better – walking distance to everything yet peaceful and relaxing. The whole place has a lovely vibe, and the staff were consistently kind, attentive, and welcoming. Not just Mel – every team member we saw seemed genuinely happy to be there. It must be a great place to work, because the positive energy really shows and made our stay feel even more special. We didn’t bring our dog this time, but knowing it's pet-friendly makes us even more keen to return. It really was just an all-round fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

It's a beautiful, tranquil spot close to town and within a few mins drive to the beach. The rooms are a good size and there's air con and a fan. Especially grateful to the staff who arranged a spot for our dog in one of the rooms downstairs that technically wasn't meant to be pet-friendly. The grassy yard next to the pool was the perfect place for a little fetch and doggy exercise. Pool area is beautifully kept and clean. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. You can rent paddleboards and bikes for free.
Wanted to make our own breakfast but was missing some cutlery and bowls in the rooms. The staff provided it upon request. Would be even more lovely to have a BBQ communal area for guests that want to cook, a motel we stayed at down the road offered that.

the room was nice, lots of nice little details :) the lower ground room could use a bit more storage options, as there were none. otherwise very nice. the first ground room was a bit nicer, brighter and more storage (even though no outdoor space in comparison to the ground floor). Nevertheless, we really had a lovely and restful stay. The garden and the ambience is very nice, and we felt very cosy and at home. The staff is also helpful and very friendly and we also booked a massage which was great! otherwise a bit expensive for what it is in comparison to other places we stayed in while travelling.
a bit expensive for what it is in comparison to other places we stayed in while travelling. we had a few encounters with cockroaches... we also bought a spray ourself after the first stressful evening/night with cockroaches. for the second time we had a spray and managed to solve the cockroack issue much faster. since the doors don't seem insulated enough to avoid this, it would have been nice to have a spray provided by the property right from the start. we thought that a broom, a spray or anything that could be used to get rid of them should be provided. it would have been a lot less stressful.

The staff - Mel - was terrific, The Hotel is beautifully renovated, the saltwater pool is lovely, the surrounds and everything in the room was terrific. a snack/bar menu exists poolside and good mini bar. Mel would put ice into our room each evening. It is quiet even though on a main road. There are a few outdoor areas for coffee and quiet - which gave us a place to go outside our room.
we were told we were being upgraded to a poolside room, the 'upgrade' meant our window looked into the carpark and not the pool, we had no curtains for privacy (they later told us that was an oversight) we asked to be moved upstairs (which we had booked) and Mel moved us. But it is small, downstairs there was nowhere to unpack- (upstairs at least had a cupboard. )The bathroom is big enough for one person only and the sink is in the main room. There is no breakfast on site.

The staff made chocolates and our bed was amazing! Everything was amazing. I stayed here when I was 10 and it was so boring, new managers have definitely stepped their game up.
There’s quite a lot of rust in our bathroom on the edges up the walls etc and something in the room has unfortunately made my eczema flare up like crazy and I’m having to moisturise it every 30 minutes, I haven’t had a reaction like this in a few years

Very stylish space with THE most comfortable beds!! I ordered a seafood and cheese platter and they were enormous and beautifully presented. The fridge was stocked with amazing drinks - beers wine cocktails with gorgeous muesli and nibbles ( check the prices before imbibing though)
Maybe a little table and chairs as we had no where to sit except on the bed. More teabags - I drink more than one cup a day so maybe a little stater box of teabags could be an idea

Loved loved loved The Brunswick. We had a fab 4 days staying there - pool was great, we borrowed the paddle boards and went out on the river, it’s just down the road from Old Maid’s and Saint Marie’s which are both must visits for breakfast/dinner and the staff were so friendly / very accommodating! Would highly recommend!
Nothing much. Bathrooms could be bought up to match the rest of the room in style but that’s all!

Location in Brunswick meant you could walk to the beach and shops and cafes. The pool area was beautiful. Handy loan bikes also make it easy to ride to the beach or just for leisure.
The room details on the website give you an impression of resort style room enhanced by the high rate per night. I was expecting a lot more. The room was just a small hotel room with a very small bathroom. Having said that, the measurements are listed on the website I think you are paying for a lack of competition here rather than spacious facilities. The pool area is beautiful. The cleaner didn't service our room while we were out for the day and had to ask the office manager to attend, which they happily did while we relaxed by the pool.

Neat location & proximity to all. Lovely rooms & bed was super comfortable. I didn't stay long enough to enjoy all amenities, so couldn't score them. A Little steep for an overnight stay, but very pleasant just the same.
I really think the room could be improved by adding a coffee pod machine, also making it more agreeable with the price. Not much to ask, perhaps next time 😄

I love the redo on the old building, the furnishings and decor. The bed and pillows were so comfy. I LOVED all of the outside space options.
I was on the top floor and I reckon it would be really nice to have little dividers (like downstairs) on the balcony on the pool side so that guests could enjoy the view with the door open, without having other guests or staff walking past. I didn’t love not being able to have a door open without any privacy. Also found the toilet to run a little bit.
