There is no breakfast or food at this hotel. They do provide coffee from 7AM to 5PM in the lobby but you can also make your cup in a small room with a microwave, fridge and icemaker on the ground floor. The staff were very responsive and the room was clean. Carpet is worn and the toilet did not work when we arrived because a chain had become disconnected but fixed right away. The shower is a bit funky as it is a clawfoot tub with old fashioned controls. Good water pressure but took a long time for the hot water to reach the second floor. They kindly upgraded us to a larger room. The bed was very comfy. Off the beaten path across from the police station so it is fairly quiet. Plenty of parking behind the hotel. We walked everywhere from the hotel which is in a great location just off the town square.

I'd like the front desk to be open at least until 7PM in case of issues in the room. I wish we could have sat out on the balcony but it is under repairs. Hopefully, they will be done soon. There is no elevator but they do have ground floor rooms. This is definitely an old hotel and some modernization would make it more attractive if you are staying more than one night. Making a cup of coffee for one person is rather time consuming in the morning and the coffee room is tiny so only one person can comfortably be in it at a time.

This was an amazing find. Vendome is full of history and character, but has been thoughtfully updated so it has modern comforts. It is tastefully decorated and well located. Above all, the service is exceptional. I made a mistake with my booking and in fact had booked for a week prior to my actual stay. I realised too late. But the very kind people at Vendome accommodated me and allowed me to change the booking. Not many hotels would do this, I think, and it was greatly appreciated. Communication with the hotel was excellent throughout and I got a very friendly welcome when I did arrive. The room is comfortable and charming. I would definitely stay here again.

This is my 3rd visit here...love the location, as it is extremely close to the town square and Whiskey Row, yet far enough to be quiet and relaxed...I MUCH prefer it to Hotel St. Michael for this reason... The entire hotel and all the rooms are spotlessly clean, and charmingly decorated... Yes, it does have a haunted vibe...particularly the front parlor/lobby at night, and the hallways...but I've never seen or heard anything in my 3 different visits! The ONLY thing I wish would change about the hotel is that the upper front porch is never accessible, due to repairs... again, I have visited on 3 different occasions, in both summer and winter, and have never been able to sit out there, and it would be nice to access that area... But overall, it's a wonderful place to stay! Added bonus...the King Bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on!

Amazing location and historic property, but with all the comforts needed for a short or long trip! The bathroom was large with great amenities. The king-size bed was super comfy, but it still left plenty of room to move around the space. I wouldn't change anything, except that I wish I could have stayed longer. Front desk host was lovely, welcoming, and knowledgable about the property. A reserved parking lot next to the hotel meant I didn't waste time cruising for street parking and I knew my vehicle would be safe.

Very high level of service pre and at check-in and throughout the stay. We felt very welcome. Excellent location.

The room was excellent overall. However, it could have done with a few improvements, such as replacing the missing knob on the bureau next to the bed, providing 2, not 1 trash cans and painting/covering over the patch of wall over the bed. Also, when we arrived back at night and parked at the rear of the hotel, we would have appreciated a light on the wall leading up to the hotel as it was very dark and the car park surface uneven.

This hotel is fantastic. The staff are very sweet and accommodating. We arrived late and were easily able to check ourselves in with instructions we received prior to arriving. The hotel itself is gorgeous inside & out and is a well-preserved window into the past. The old-fashioned room keys and wood finishes are a very nice touch. Our room was really cozy and adorable. We had all the amenities we needed. Parking was convenient and Whiskey Row is less than a two minute walk from the hotel. We will definitely stay here again, we loved it.

Nothing, this place is perfect!

This hotel is one of the best "boutique" historical hotels in which I've stayed. I travel often and always try to stay in this type facility. Hotel Vendome is at the top of the list. It is quiet, clean, comfortable, friendly staff, quaint and, located in old downtown. The bed and pillows were comfortable and I liked the black "cosmetic'' wash clothes in the spacious bathroom. My husband is not a fan of "old" hotels but, he really liked it and remarked that he would stay there again. THAT... says a lot!

The coffee could be better.

This is a lovely boutique hotel that takes charming to an entirely new level! From check-in to check-out, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The room was super spacious and the bathroom was right out of a picture postcard! The location is prime, just half a block south of the central courthouse square. Highly recommended!

A microwave in my room would have been nice, but it wasn't a problem to use the one in the central pantry downstairs.

We enjoyed staying in the historic building which is a block from the court house and in walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. The rooms are quiet. We never heard noises from other guests walking around. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We made a reservation within an hour of the front desk closing and staff proactively reached out by text and email to confirm our check in time and offer after hours check in if needed.

The building exterior does need some maintenance above the front porch.

It was perfect for our anniversary celebration! I loved its' charm, decor and location. The staff was super friendly and helpful with dining suggestions. We parked our car and walked everywhere...also enjoyed a breakfast of leftovers at the dining table in the lobby. Very comfortable and warm atmosphere! I loved the bathtub for a nice hot soak each night!!

At first I didn't like not having a fridge & microwave in our room, but realized how much it detracts from the look/warmth of the room/hotel. The appliances are conveniently located in area for all guests to use. Practical & convenient! Getting coffee in the morning in the lobby also provides chance to interact with other guests and staff...good for some socialization!
