Hotel St. Michael in downtown Prescott—where history, Western charm, and modern comfort all meet under one roof. 🤠 From the classic old-fashioned elevator to the cozy Western-themed room, every corner of this place tells a story. The cowhide rug, vintage décor, and cowboy silhouette bedspread gave it that perfect frontier touch. Downstairs? You’ll find the hidden Fire & Sword Speakeasy, tucked away behind a secret door and glowing red staircase. And just steps away, the Bistro St. Michael serves up some great eats with a front-row view of Whiskey Row. Prescott knows how to welcome rodeo fans right—and St. Michael’s is the perfect basecamp for it all. 🐎🌵🇺🇸

I love the historic nature of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable with lovely soft pillows and silky sheets. the ceiling fan was great so didn't have to use the AC. The bathroom was small but renovated and very cute. The water didn't get as warm as I would have liked in the shower, but was manageable. We liked having the bistro on site so we didn't have to go out again for dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the complimentary (good) coffee in the lobby in the morning. It is very hard to get decent coffee when traveling. Its usually weak and tasteless, like drinking hot water. IF we get to Prerscott in the future, we will definitely stay again.
Nothing!

Everything went well. It couldn't be in a better location. We were very close to our local destination. The room was "snazzy." A great restaurant was right next door, and the bistro serves an excellent breakfast. Parking is very convenient, and the rear entrance to the hotel is surreal. There were no clanking sounds all night as is with the case of another old hotel in town. The sounds from the dance hall barely reached us and we slept well. The interior of the hotel is beautiful and welcoming. It's like the place wants us there. And ... the front desk is the friendliest and most welcoming ever.
The TV could be bigger ....

My husband and I came for a quick one night I get away. First time stay for both of us. We had such a good time. The staff was amazing. We had a cocktail in your lobby and hit your new speakeasy. We also had a late dinner in the restaurant. It truly was such a fun night. The room was a great size room just a horrible view. (Actually no view at all as our windows to the room were against a brick wall). We had a fabulous time and will definitely will be back.
Our view overlooked a brick wall, which I don't think was entirely necessary since the hotel was certainly not booked on a Sunday and could have been given a better view room for sure.

The hotel is charming, for sure, and in a perfect location. The lobby bar is large and comfortable. The central stairwell makes up for the slow elevator (which is antique and cool - I wouldn't want it to be replaced as long as it's functioning).
Some of the updates take away from the historic elements of the building, which is too bad. What we found lacking were lack of 2nd luggage rack, hair dryer and iron (a quick trip to the front desk and we were able to get all 3). The foot and vehicle traffic outside can be loud pretty late into the night, but then again, you have the convenience of being right downtown.

The Hotel St. Michael is a lovely historic hotel right in the center of Prescott. I traveled to Prescott for my nephew's high school graduation. You really can't beat the location, which is right on Whiskey Row with all the restaurants, bars and shops it has to offer. The staff at the hotel was amazing. They were very responsive with any questions I had regarding my stay. In addition, prior to my stay, they called me to let me know that there was construction going on at the hotel, so there might be some noise. (I note that I did not hear anything.) They also called to advise that the elevator was under repair and would most likely not be in service during my stay. When I arrived, the elevator was indeed not working. My knees weren't happy (I was on the 3rd floor), but at least I was prepared for it. The rooms are simple, but my bed was super comfortable. It was also nice to have the Bistro St. Michael to grab a bite to eat - had a great Bloody Mary!
Not having a functioning elevator wasn't ideal, but the friendly and accommodating staff made up for the inconvenience.

The property was clean and well maintained and it was in a perfect location downtown. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean.
I was staying a week and picked the family room it was a good size and I love the separate rooms as I had my college student daughter staying with me randomly throughout the stay, my only suggestion would be to have a fridge and microwave in the room.

Liked the history of the building. Great location as it’s on Whiskey Row but we were there on a Monday night so not loud from street at all. They provided ear plugs for free so it may get loud on weekends or busy times from the bars in the area. The room was small/cozy and made us feel we were at someone’s house. Others may be shocked by smallness of room though we liked it and it was comfortable, clean and provided two bottles of water (more if we wanted). Quaint.
It didn’t matter to us but it might to others. We were busy and not in the room much but our one window faced a brick building feet away. That’s our view but not the view from all rooms so if it matters to you - best ask for a room with a view. Wish they offered a continental breakfast.

Beautiful Historical Hotel in downtown Prescott, looks like you are in an old western! Room was nice and spacious. I loved the western decor throughout. Bed was nice and comfy with plenty of pillows. Shower was nice with good products available. The Speak Easy Bar and Bistro on site were both very enjoyable. Very close to all shopping and restaurants. On Street parking. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Too busy traveling around to take advantage of the breakfast. We arrived in the middle of a snow storm so that was not optimal but had nothing to do with the hotel. There was a great deal of businesses shut down for the snow. This would undoubtedly be a great place to stay, with it’s easy walking distance to many interesting shops. Town and location was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beds were excellent. We would definitely stay there again.
It snowed!…. A LOT! Of course, that had nothing to do with the hotel. That’s the only bad thing I could think of! Oh… and having to leave. I didn’t like that either.
