The buffet breakfast was everything hotel literature promised it would be. Freshly prepared and excellent quality. The decor throughout the hotel, including our allocated rooms, was so stylish - simply stunning! Similarly, the outside areas are extremely attractive and well laid out. So much thought has gone into planning public areas that are both functional and pleasant to experience. All staff were welcoming and helpful. Should I ever visit Ypres again, this is the only hotel I would consider.

Prices in the restaurant which were costly. There are many other restaurants in Ypres which offer good quality food at lesser rates.

A fantastic modern hotel with a wonderful restaurant in the loveliest garden! Hotel staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are well-appointed, and the location is excellent - less than five minutes from the historic main plaza in Ypres with the shops, restaurants and In Flanders Field Museum. We chose to have dinner at the hotel restaurant in the garden and the lights and pond make it a magical setting for an incredible meal. We returned to the garden for breakfast the next morning and it was also excellent with an abundance of options. We can't wait to return to beautiful Belgium and this fantastic hotel!

This is the 2nd time i have stayed here and quite simply the best example of how a hotel should be!! Perfect location, beautiful surroundings, and extremely comfortable, but what really makes it is THE STAFF. They are extremely friendly and always greet you with a smile and acknowledge you as a friend... We came here with a group of Audi TT enthusiasts, and unfortunately, my father became unwell during the stay. When we advised them of our situation, nothing was too much bother or inconvenience. They arranged for a doctor to come and examine him and even found a pharmacist 8/9kms away who was able to administer the prescription even though it was out of hours. Quite simply, they went above and beyond, and we couldn't be more grateful and thankful to them. Ypres is a beautiful city and very central to most places and I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. I am already planning my next visit and I hope to be there very soon!!

We had a bubble room and it was fabulous, huge comfortable bed,great bathroom, jacuzzi, mini fridge, iron and ironing board, tea & coffee facilities, everything you could wish for was there . The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were even given a late checkout to enable us to attend the Armistice Day service at the MeninGate. Thankyou everyone at the hotel, we will definitely return.

There was not one single thing I did not like about this hotel.All the staff are friendly and extremely helpful, food was fabulous, in fact everything was !

The rooms and facilities were all lovely. The hotel itself has a little bit of 'wow' factor as you walk in. The entrance lobby is very smart and looks very modern. The displays in the foyer were all very interesting. The bar was lovely and relaxing. Very comfortable. We spent quite a bit of time there in the sun and watching the fish. The bar staff were very good and friendly. Always helpful and the reception staff also could not do enough for you. There is EV charging in the car park, although i didn't use it.

An absolute gem of a hotel which delivered on everything you could want - room was fab, food excellent and the little touches like the little sensor lights that light up when you get up at night. The in-house museum was also great! The staff were without fail very friendly and helpful and the position with free parking in the centre of Ypres is ideal. We will be booking to come again very soon!

Only small thing was the fixed shower door above the bath, had to step into bath to start running as couldn't reach the taps! Not really an issue!

Luxury stay close to the centre of Ypres. Gorgeous room with its own seating area, fancy bath and dry sauna. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Huge comfortable bed. We loved the little extra touches - like having one light switch at the door and bedside that turns off all the lights at once - so much easier than trying to remember which switch is the right one when you want to go to sleep! Very good breakfast, too. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location is great - 5-10 min walk from the city centre.

Nothing, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was delicious with every conceivable option (they even had HP sauce), fresh and regularly topped up. Our room was superb, comfy bed, roomy shower, coffee maker and kettle, fridge and plenty of storage space. Cleaned to a high standard too. All the staff were helpful and pleasant. The location was quite central, about 10 minutes walk to the center of Ypres. Parking was on site, free and secure. Restaurant had a number of options and we ate there twice, all dishes were tasty and nicely presented; wine list comprehensive.

Perhaps better lighting in the room, reading lights were good but it could be a bit dark with other lighting.

The Ariane Hotel is a wonderful gem and an example to all hotels on "How To Get It Right" ! Everything about the hotel is excellent, there is nothing to dislike. The staff are very polite and welcoming and obviously hardworking. The breakfasts and other meals are excellent. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Ariane Hotel to anyone who plans to go to Ypres. What more can one say but Well Done To Everyone Concerned at The Ariane Hotel - you are truly Stars !

There is nothing we didn't like

We first stayed at the Ariane on a Holts battlefield tour and have stayed a couple of times since then, but this was our first visit for some years. We were delighted with the room, it size, attention to detail and it comfort. We ate at both the bar and restaurant and noticed that several locals were also dining there, which is always a good sign for any restaurant. The food was very good and all of the staff very helpful and attentive. The receptionist was also very helpful in booking a restaurant for us near the Menin Gate one evening. My wife casually asked one member of staff when the hotel had been sold and subsequently extended, to be told that her and her husband still owned it after all of these years. Very impressive. We will certainly be back when we next visit Ypres.
