Location is the best. Right at the beach. There are some fishing boats parked in front of the hotel but it is not disturbing and if you walk 5 mins you find a lovely part of the beach for swimming. Hotel staff is excellent, friendly and kind, always smiling and helpful. We felt safe and looked after. There is a lovely atmosphere in the hotel. We also enjoyed the food and the drinks.

Very kind staff, always helpful and very social. Beautiful hotel next to the beach with a really good location. Outside the hotel an autentic look with local people and Villages which is supernice. The all inklusive is really good.food is high quality and the swahili theme every ssturday and wednesdsy is amazing. We were there 10 days all inklusive with kids and it was definetly one of the best hotels Ive stayed in. I would recommend everybody to stay in this hotel.

Everything was good. If I have to say a few things is that the bed is not the most comfortable. Maybe a sofa could also be added in the bedroom.

The location was perfect right at the front of a beautiful beach. Enterance thru a local village, safe, friendly and even having facilities like supermarket and nearby restaurants. Offering full of fruits, egs, local tastes and good coffee open buffet breakfast. Incredibly kind smiling and respectful staff. Many thanks to host manager Paul, massai Mateo and restaurant staff Emanuel, just a few that I could remember names. A perfect massage center where you can a have very good massage for very reasonable prices. Options of nearby restaurants and bars on the same beach just meters away.

We have never been treated more like "queen and king" in any hotel in our life than in this resort. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. All the staff is just incredible. Highly personal connection between staff and guests (which you don't find very often on Zanzibar, mostly the people are highly friendly but rather distant). They did everything for us - be it a special wish for a dish for dinner we had tried elsewhere on the island (Zanzibar pizza), be it the INCREDIBLE beach-side dinner they prepared as a surprise just for us for a special occasion - without extra charge. We were and still are shocked at this incredible level of friendliness and service at this resort. Thank you all so much. We have seen negative rewiews regarding the location or activities provided. We did very much like the beach area here, it was rather secluded and not as busy as in Nungwi and the rest of Kendwa. We anyway recommend every traveler to rent a car, even on Zanzibar - completely safe and no issues at all.

At this increidbly low price point, there is really nothing to criticise. If you paid double (as in most comparable resorts around, you might expect more furnitures in the room which is rather functional - but not at this super good price! All was good.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The property always tried to make the stay special by arranging special events for dinner, like beach parties, masai dances etc. They also arranged a special candlelit private dinner for us on the beach. Good location and great vibe and view. Manager Paul checked in every day if we were fine and his team was fantastic.

If I have to recommend one thing for improvement, it would be the bed. The side bars are too high to comfortably get out of bed and the headboard is inconvenient. Everything else was good

Management and staff were all very professional. I had some delays in my travel, thus getting me into Kendwa much later than originally anticipated. The hotel staff took it upon themselves to have sandwiches and snacks waiting in my room when I checked in. It was a nice surprise as I didn’t have time for a proper meal throughout the day. The manager also upgraded my package to the all inclusive which was certainly appreciated. It was these touches and the professionalism of the staff that made my stay great.

To no fault of the property. There are often disruptions in the electricity / power. There were not many options on the buffet. The offerings should certainly be expanded.

Good location, beautiful beach with chance to interact with locals and observe daily life, perfect sunsets, cosy&clean rooms, extremely nice staff. It was a nice touch to see the GM around all the time interacting with guests, we appreciated the gesture. The dinner on the beach was a real treat! Also special thanks to Captain Henry, who took us on a memorable tour.

We found the beds uncomfortable, even though they were kind enough to change the pillows, we still did not sleep very well. We did appreciate the insight into local life, however fishermen cleaning their fish right on the beach leaving bloody water, fish organs and plastic bottles behind was unpleasant. There could be a little improvement on the cocktail front, they are all extremely sweet and tasted the same. It would be nice to be able to enjoy some real fruit juice since you have all those beautiful exotic fruits around.

Amazing hotel. Very green! Friendly staff, everyone cares about you and try to do your holiday really excellent. Tasty food (there are no so many options but everything is delicious) and beautiful view from the hotel restaurant! There are many boats with fishermen so can see a real local life, many locals come there for n the evening to buy a fish (so interesting!). There were always free sunbeds, so you do need to care about it (like in some other hotels). Communication is great. Wifi worked mostly good (even on the beach). Everyday cleaning was great!

My girlfriend and I stayed at this resort in Zanzibar for two weeks, and we had an absolutely amazing time. The hotel was beautiful and spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed every meal and truly felt at home. Aggrey, along with the rest of the wonderful staff, really went above and beyond to make our experience extra special. He even organized a stunning private dinner for us on the beach, which I highly recommend to anyone staying here. All the excursions we booked through the hotel were reasonably priced and went off without a hitch. Everything was well organized and smooth. The resort deserves a full 5/5 stars. It was a diverse place with guests from all over the world, including France, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Africa, and the UK. A big shoutout to the French General Manager and the office crew for arranging a breathtaking room with an incredible sea view!

Where do I start?! Upon my initial contact with the front desk agent, Hilmi until Sinjore, the Masaii guard loaded my bags into the taxi; I was wowed by the genuine watmth and extreme hospitality of the staff. Other staff to call about by name are Paul, the top notch manager setting the highest example of customer relations and dining staff Philamina and Catarina and Hussein. I am so happy to have transferred here from Villa Vanilla. Do NOT stay there! Awful facility and awful staff. In addition to the amazing staff at Sansi Kendwa, the facilities are first class. Clean, comfortable rooms and bedding. The buffet was over the top with high quality, fresh ingredients with a wide variety of options. The kitchen staff missed no details on the presentation of the dishes and they tasted delicious. And, the setting! Picture post card sums it up...beautiful white sand beach against the turquoise backdrop of the gentle ocean. An amazing all around facility!

Not a negative, at all and just a suggestion... The nightly program offered by the hotel next door during the evening was so entertaining! They had local performers, dancing and singing on the beach. And, unlike staged "cultural performances " this felt like the real thing. It definitely drew a crowd and many from neighboring hotels. So, that could also be viewed as a positive - exceptional entertainment next door!
