The Alt Speyer is very well placed for exploring the City Centre. It is a simple, cosy, clean hotel - for example, sheets changed daily. The breakfast room is small but the excellent breakfast is served at your table (lovely hot rolls) - the Hotel was the first organic hotel in Speyer. The beds were comfortable and soap and small bottles of shower gel are provided. We found it to be ideally suited for our needs. Keep your key with you if going out as this also unlocks the front door if you are coming in late. The staff were always friendly and obliging.

Nothing to raise any worries about, the breakfast room is compact and it's helpful to book a slot for breakfast on arrival.

I booked last minute and all that was available was the apartment. I got that for the price of a room. Unfortunately, as a solo traveller, I had no friends to enjoy it with. The hotel itself is in a perfect spot for one to enjoy the very pretty city. Breakfast was ok.

I felt sorry for the young man on reception. He seemed to be responsible for everything, breakfasts, bookings etc. He still did a great job though.

This is a nice little hotel. It's just round the corner from the main shopping area, so there's plenty of places to eat and drink. You can park outside to drop your bags off and they will direct you to a multi-storey car park (€6 per day) The guy who runs the place was very pleasant and helpful and we had a nice comfortable room. The star of the show was the breakfast. We weren't expecting much, as the breakfast room is very small, but we got a basket of bread, jams, a selection of meats and cheeses, poached eggs, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt, plus juice and coffee - all served to the table. We really enjoyed it.

Great breakfast with several options. Excellent location on a quiet small street but still a few walking minutes away from the city centre where you could find several good cafees, bars and restaurants. Both the river Rhine and the Speyer Technical Museum are also located fairly close to the hotel ... about 15-20 minutes walking time.

Great smaller hotel for bike tourers. Friendly and easy checkin, comfortable room with aircon, safe courtyard and shed for bike storage. Nice simple breakfast prepared by staff for each person. Central to visit Aldstadt. Definitely recommend

Cleanliness, very good breakfast, professional and friendly, comfy bed, very well located-9 minutes by bus from the Speyer train station.A few minutes on foot till city center, all shops you need are there (Rewe, DM, Pharmacy, etc.) nice restaurants.Totally recommend 😊

Location at one end of the main strip to the church. You can leisurely walk all and shop or eat. Family room was amazing.

WiFi didn’t work during our stay but the A/C cranking balanced it out.

It advertises parking but it doesn’t have on-site parking - no problem but just be aware.

The location was excellent and the room had character. It was a good size, too. An added bonus was the air conditioning as it was so hot.

The stairs were a trial and would be very difficult for a less mobile guest.

The hotel is really well located, in the city center. The size of the room is comfortable for 2 people. Breakfast is worth to pay. It's also very clean. There's frigobar in the room as well as tea and coffee.
