Great welcome.. every member of staff we had dealings with were friendly, helpful and polite. Perfect spot to visit the town and views of the river. Room was fab... great decoration. Lots of room. Clean and lovely, generous teamaking facilities. Soft fluffy towels. Firm, comfy bed. View of the river very special.

No parking but car park only 5 min walk to a public car park costing £12 for up to a week. Kitchen closed due to the busy festival we were there to attend so couldn't eat at pub but loads of choice nearby. No shower just a very luxurious bath with handheld shower head.

The breakfast was tasty and satisfying. The location by the river was fabulous and the beautiful view from our room one of the best we've experienced.

The welcome at reception was a bit underwhelming. To be fair, we understand the staff member was part time and still learning. The bathroom door would not shut properly and needs planing or sanding along the top. Rain-type showers are very trendy nowadays but cubicles never seem capable of preventing water splashing out on to the floor. Our window boxes needed some tlc: fresh plants and some weeding.

Nice clean room. Very friendly helpful staff. Good central location

The room was too hot. Had to open a window. This caused noise, which was no fault of the Hotel. Thanks to storm babette the area was flooded and their were pumps in use in the streets below.

Welcoming staff, very helpful. Good food and choice of menu . We had our evening meal and breakfast there .

Our room was big , well decorated , lovely shower , had all the facilities we needed. There was a noise coming from the kitchen extractor fan . Could hear it through the closed window . It’s a small pub so they can’t change this . Location was good , it’s on the river front . No car park - 3 parking bays outside the pub, but on-road parking near the pub is available .

Enjoyed our stay. Good location overlooking the river, Nice inside bar/restaurant and seating outside. Comfortable room with very nice bathroom. Friendly staff and tasty food. Had lunch, dinner and breakfast and it was good value for money. The dog also enjoyed his stay.

No car park. Parked in a car park about 5 minute walk away (not a problem for us). £2 for 4 hours and £2 for overnight (4pm til 8am)

Position of hotel, alongside the river. Room was clean and comfortable

Bathroom was poor layout, very small basin. Room was not cleaned or replenishes after first night. Waited for dinner with 'we are short of a shed, not taking any orders for 45mins' Poor breakfast, no orange, continental choice, not what I expected The staff seemed to have no manager, later and unorganized

Young staff efficient and friendly; good fish & chips but menu rather limited; en-suite room recently refurbished - could do with a stool/chair in the bathroom although luckily I can still touch my toes (to dry them).

The woman, who appeared to be in charge, the following morning should try and be a little friendlier. It’s a shame that parking isn’t a little easier - street parking found about a 5 minute walk away.

It's about what I didn't like.

Breakfast is Not served before 9am and this was not made clear at time of booking. This is a show stopper for me not to have breakfast before work. If I was holidaying it wouldn't be an issue but out of principle not being made aware I was not going to be able to have breakfast I won't be going back. Shame such a lovely place

Stayed here for walk along Severn Way (Tewkesbury to Upton) so in perfect location. Free on street parking very limited next to hotel but we were lucky enough to get a place. There is a 24hr car park nearby. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly. We stayed on a room only basis so can't comment on breakfast but evening meal was excellent.

Location. Room. Value. Lovely atmosphere. Luke helped us with our cases up the stairs and helpfully directed us when we were lost on arrival night.

Only downside was lack of a small piece of fruit and or yoghurt with breakfast. Breakfast 12 50 per person. Delicious - cooked, full English and toast but the staff looked surprised when asked if any fruit. Also no marmite! Finally, breakfast a tad early for a weekend 9 to 9.30am
