It’s nice and close to the harbour which was good for us. It’s a nice place.
The parking doesn’t make sense on the 1st come 1st serve. We couldn’t fit in the carpark and the parking that was taken up was with small cars.

Staff were very helpful and tentative to our needs. Restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was very handy. The room was individually named, was spacious and very comfortable.
Parking was first come first served and there were only a few parking slots on the hotel site and they charged £12 per night. This was not disclosed until I had paid for the room. The other parking was a short walk away and cost £13 per night. The evening meal first night was very average and wine was the most expensive on the Quay. Same height price for breakfast which was help yourself if you chose continental style. For the remaining two days and nights we ate breakfast and evening meals on the quay. Better priced and better ambiance.

We really liked this hotel. The room was very nice, not too big, but big enough. The bathroom was large and in good condition. It also has several parking spaces, which can be accessed through a narrow passage. We really liked the restaurant. Very good breakfast – cooked and buffet. We also enjoyed the dinner very much, and the waiters and waitresses were friendly and attentive.
The call from reception at 6:30 in the morning. He asked us if we had parked a car and what our license plate number was – even though we had provided all the information at check-in. So checking 1st all information provided would be the normal way. The fact that frog legs are listed on the menu – that's a no-go for us – and you can serve French cuisine without them.

We were offered an upgrade to a suite we we took and it was exceptionally lovely, spacious and welcoming. Beds were very comfortable. Open top bath in the room was very relaxing. The fridge was well stocked and after a long day out in the rain it was very relaxing to be able to help ourselves to drinks from the fridge when we arrived in the room. The hotel was exceptionally welcoming to our dog - they provided a thoughtful doggy bag, bed and bowls - the most welcome we have ever felt as dog lovers. The breakfast was delicious - the best hotel breakfast I've had.

This is may favoured hotel in Poole (I am frequent visitor) and always stay here - the staff are top drawer and professional - customer service is their priority which is missing in many places - room prices can be a little high during peak periods/seasons but given the quality and location of the hotel still not excessive - looking forward to my next stay.....
Seems that some of the infrastructure of the hotel (heating, plumbing) is getting a bit tired (i had an intrusive loud humming noise in the room which evidently was caused by the boiler in basement resonating up the structure of the building I was in) although it is evident hotel is setting out to rectify and replace as needed....

We only ate a continental breakfast for just under £20 each which is a bit steep and full cooked breakfast is £24 also expensive. The dining room is very nice, plenty of staff which probably explains the cost. The hotel is in what appears to be a very nice conservation area on a quiet street. Our room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable with crisp cotton sheets and I’m sure a feather pillow - very unusual but very welcome. By the way Booking.com I’m not from America as you keep saying, I’m English.

The room was lovely, the bed very comfortable, all very clean, the addition of fans to the room was very much appreciated. the dinner was very nice, beautifully cooked, staff were informative ,very attentive & polite, nothing too much trouble! Breakfast was nice, staff very helpful with plenty of choice.
I wasn't informed or impressed that there would be a charge for the parking when I rang to enquire if there was parking available! some badly marked areas on the chest of drawers from glasses or hot cups which I feel sound have been attended to! Some damage to the wall behind the heated towel rail & cracked/ damaged wall by bath which needs attention! I feel for £179 a night these issues should be dealt with!

We booked the Hotel due to its proximity to the Ferry Terminal as we had an early start the next morning. Check in staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. The restaurant and evening meal was excellent and such a shame there were hardly any diners. Wait staff also very good.
We were offered the continental breakfast which we decided to do prior to leaving for the ferry. This was very over priced and there was not a lot of variety. Things that were supposed to be there were not ie, pastry, cold meats etc. Service was slow and we had to ask for things. If you are catching the ferry my advice is don't bother with the hotel breakfast, grab your food on board - it looked very good and lots of options.

Hotel du Vin Poole has cemented its place as one of my absolute favorite hotels, and for very good reason. Each stay here is consistently brilliant, offering an experience that combines classic elegance with modern comforts, always leaving me feeling relaxed and completely satisfied. It’s truly a standout destination whenever I’m in the Poole area. The hotel’s fantastic restaurant is a major highlight. The food is consistently amazing, showcasing a commitment to quality ingredients and expertly crafted dishes. Every meal I’ve had there has been a culinary delight, with flavors that are both refined and incredibly satisfying. Beyond the delicious food, the service in the restaurant is equally stellar. The staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a memorable dining experience. They anticipate your needs without being intrusive and always serve with a professional yet warm demeanor. The atmosphere throughout the hotel, from the charming rooms to the inviting communal areas, is one of sophisticated comfort. It’s a place where you can unwind and feel pampered, whether you’re enjoying a drink in the bar or simply relaxing in your room. For cigar aficionados, the hotel offers a selection to enjoy. While the quality is undoubtedly high, my only minor wish would be for a slightly broader variety of Cohiba cigars to choose from, given the hotel's otherwise impeccable offerings. A special note of appreciation must go to the young lady at reception. She is consistently helpful, welcoming, and genuinely goes above and beyond to ensure a smooth and pleasant check-in and check-out experience. Her warm smile and efficient service truly set a positive tone for every visit, making you feel valued from the moment you arrive. Hotel du Vin Poole simply never disappoints. It’s a place where exceptional service, incredible food, and a wonderful atmosphere come together to create a truly brilliant hotel experience.

Wonderful staff, delightful, quirky surroundings, great interior design, superb dinner. The room was superb and very comfortable.
The vegan breakfast was somewhat disappointing; sausage too spicy, scrambled eggs tofu watery, bland and inedible. Parking was almost an issue, but thanks to your tenacious staff member on reception, we managed to shoehorn our car into a space. You should make it far more clear that “private parking available” is on a first come, first served basis.
