This is an old roadside motel, but what makes it wonderful is the owner and the effort she has put in to update the facility. The unit we stayed in had new floors, new super comfy beds and a very well equipped kitchen. The host was a delight and super helpful. She acknowledged that it was an old motel and there is not a lot they could do about that but they were putting a big effort into the interiors. Extremely clean. I felt clean, safe and comfortable there.

There was not a fantastic outdoor seating space but an effort was made to have chairs and picnic tables in the parking area

Easy to spot from highway due to big sign.Huge room and kitchen counter with everything.Full stove and big fridge.Good bathroom with tub and opening window.Property exterior well maintained with big green lawn and picnic benches and barbecue area.Friendly helpful owners.Would have given a nine except for the mouse trap I nearly stepped on and the dead mouse by the bed.

Location not good for walking to grocery store or liquor store.Almost a 2k walk along the highway.There’s a pub across the road open for food till only 8pm and terrible service.

Convenient to Red Mountain resort - only about 15 minute drive. Good value for location to recreation and shopping facilities. Excellent and caring staff. Good WIFI. Quiet and provided all I needed including kitchen facilities in my room.

Some aspects are a little bit dated, but they served my needs well.

There was a breakfast? I was not aware!! The friendly folks, familiar surroundings, quiet location and--since several other friends were also staying there--the atmosphere was just what I needed!

No complaints at all! I've know the Ray Lyn for about 60+ years so I wasn't expecting pristine, 5 star accommodations but the value for money, the friendly staff, the cleanliness and service and the convenience of location were exactly what I was after. (It might be time to get the TV in Unit 54 tuned or replaced, though ;~))

Everything was great. Good value, very clean and we had an awesome sleep. Couldn’t ask for more. Would stay here every time I go to Trail.

Nothing. I was skeptical booking a motel because you never really know what you’re actually gonna get but this was a very pleasant surprise.

There was no blow dryer in the room Location is as stated. You can’t walk to Trail, restaurants We were skiing at Red. Much cheaper than Rossland and only few minutes longer drive.

Nice clean room. Comfortable beds. Pillows were very soft. The location was very easy to find with good signage even at night. The front desk was very friendly and welcoming.

The fridge was a little loud. It's a big room so it echoed. Not so bad that I couldn't sleep, but at night it was very noticeable.

Very clean. Quiet. Really nice people who run the place. Met my expectations for budget friendly accommodation for a RED mountain ski trip.

Better quality coffee would be nice :) Also a door mat to keep the snow from puddling up when it melts.

The cleanliness is really the one thing that stands out. The top of shelves or even fridges are dust-free. The place is cleaner than places that are double in price.

There is nothing we can pick to complain about for the price range.

The motel is adjacent to a lovely stream and the property has beautiful old trees. Exceptionally nice staff. Comfortable bed! The room was clean and quiet.

I wish that I could have more occasion to travel to this city. I would stay at this motel many times again.
