Location's great. There's a underground passage what leads you directly from the subway exit to the hotel lobby. No need to go outside at all.

Staff did not speak English at all, and were unhelpful when one of my group lost his cap in the bar. Also facilities very outdated

All the staff were friendly, courteous and professional. The bathroom was well stocked with amenities. We did use the swimming pool (cost of 2,200 yen per person) during our stay. The pool and changing areas were immaculate, making a truly enjoyable experience. The breakfast spread was high quality with an array of Japanese and Western food. We particularly enjoyed our chat with Lillia, one of the servers - she was so friendly and chatty.

room is perfectly furnished making it super comfortable, fairly large in size and clean. Location is conenient. Staff are nice. Breakfast is also good. definitely worth the price and will stay here again in my next visit.

The visitors next to my room chatted so loudly that I could hear them in my room, though I don't think I should blame the hotel for this. Other than this the hotel is quiet most of the time.

The hotel location was so close to the subway system, it was very easy to get around. Our room was comfortable, staff were always friendly and helpful, and loved our time having breakfast each moring - so may different options to try.

When arriving early from an international flight, and understandably having to wait to room availability - it would have been helpful to have been offered a complimentary coffee/tea, etc.

some staffs needs to improve service attitude. Mostly, Concierge and Bell Team is high competence. But Front Dept. must be change to effort their attitude and more active. The hotel was beautiful. The room size was comfortable. Beds, although twins, were comfortable and good size for Americans. The staff was so friendly and was able to get reservations for us as I believe there was a language barrier when making reservations directly through the restaurant. The location of the hotel is directly across from the mall and Anpanman. The city is in walking distance, and airport is about 20-15 minute cab ride.

We didn't understand the pool policy. We thought this was a "regular" hotel pool which was disappointing because we had small children and wanted to use the pool

The hotel itself was very nice and the staff was beyond nice and helpful. We knew what to expect with the Okura and it met all our expectations. The hotel was connected to the local metro which was super convenient to get to Hakata Station (2 stops away)- we loved that!

The rooms were a little dated but still large by Japanese standards. The location was pretty good but we realized we were walking 15 min for just about everything we did, which isn’t bad at all but wish we stayed a little further south.

The hotel is on the Airport Subway Line (two stops from the JR Hakata Train Station), within walking distance of Canal City, and Tenjin, adjacent to the Riverain Mall and across the street from the beginning of the Kawabata Arcade. There are four restaurants and a lounge in the hotel with the main restaurant serving an outstanding daily breakfast buffet presented by staff who are extremely attentive to your needs. The hotel is impecabbly clean and well maintained (has to have the quietest, fastest and smoothest running elevators of any hotel we've ever stayed at) with very quiet and comfortable rooms, but the hotel's biggest asset are its staff who are professional, courteous and kind.

There is a charge, and it is expensive, to use the hotel's fitness facilities (pool and gym). There is a very well equipped 24-hour Gold's Gym in the adjacent Riverain Mall which is a very good option at a very low cost compared to the hotel.
