- Good breakfast, there was a choice of four croissants with three small starter and a simple drinks bar. A bit of a shame that the three starters didn't change during my stay. - The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of storage space under the bed. - The location in the city was ideal and especially nice in the evenings as it was very lively there with small food stands along the promenades. The subway station was also very close.

- The small air conditioner in the bed was very weak and it got a bit stuffy at night.

It only takes 2 minutes on foot to 中洲川端 station, and there is a 7-11 right next to the station. The bed is wider and more comfortable to sleep on compared to traditional dormitory bunk beds. The electric bed can even adjust its height, allowing you to raise it when you're not sleeping, making it more comfortable for reading or using your phone while leaning on it. You can even set the bed to elevate when the alarm clock goes off, so you won't have trouble waking up. For women interested in ReFa, you can try out ReFa's hairdryer and showerhead here. After scanning your room card at the entrance of the accommodation area, you don't need to bring your room card with you to use the restroom or take a shower, which is very convenient.

A modern and luxurious capsule hotel with an incredibly comfortable bed and great amenities. The sit-up feature of the bed was great as it gave you just enough room to change inside your pod. The bed was comfortable and the temperature was cool. The showers were uni-sex (unless you book a female-only cabin) and had a very high level of privacy. The shower rooms get a bit crowded in the mornings, but always had enough for all visitors. The location was excellent for sight-seeing and city exploring. The overall vibe of the common areas and the bar were very nice. Would definitely recommend this!

The location is convenient, which is right behind the entrance to the subway station. Many food options around, the Ichiran building is just a 3 min walk away that’s open late to the night. Other than Nakasu, you can also enjoy a nice walk across the bridge towards Tenjin for even more food / shopping options, while admiring the river views. The pods were comfortable and easily feels more spacious than other capsule hotels. The adjustable bed angle is also a huge plus. Showers and bathrooms were clean and essential amenities were provided. The working area at L2 has sufficient seats and power plugs for charging, with free coffee/tea and a communal fridge. I also liked the high-end vibe of the hotel lobby with the techno/edm playlist in the background, though this is just my preference and may not appeal to everyone. They also have a great perk of offering free flow lemon sour/highball/beer from 5:30 to 6:30pm.

Probably the lack of a quiet area due to the music, so you need to find a quiet spot outside to take calls. A tad pricier than other capsule hotels, but the experience is better. The self check in procedure had some technical issues and not really user-friendly, but the staff were pleasant to help me check in manually.

For a pod hostel it was really nice and it’s connected to the lively hotel which has a nice bar downstairs and great seating area if you have work to do! It’s located 10mins from the airport and is centred nicely in Fukuoka. I would recommend :)

It’s not a social place just by design so if you’re alone and prefer have your individual space then it’ll be perfect for you. Even though you are separated by a blind and not a door there’s no eating or talking allowed so you still have your space and peace :) I would also add that if you have large luggage it might be a bit inconvenient for you. Check is at 3 and they are very strict on that they’ll charge if you want to check earlier even if it’s an hour.

This was my second time staying here. Location is good if you want to stay nearby Canal City mall and the nightly food stalls. There’s free beer and lemon sours served for an hour every evening, which was quite nice. The private pod is nice and spacious with the ability for the bed to recline and enough space to store luggage underneath. Everything is operated by an iPhone next to the bed, which was fine but it can be a little tedious if you simply want to turn off the lights and need to do so through the app.

A creative answer to the capsule concept, and one I really enjoyed. The beds give flexibility to whether you want to sleep or sit up and chill, and the ambient set up for the room is controlled by the iPod on the wall. The beds were comfy, and the showers were clean, hot and with good water pressure. The luggage area was a little narrow for my backpack to go under the bed as others mentioned but I was able to fit it between the curtain and the bed end quite easily so this wasn’t an issue. Many people also just had their bags outside of their capsule during my stay and this was no issue. The working area on L2 was good with some tables having plugs for working, and also a pool table and free coffee/tea making facilities. Music is a little loud so making calls is tricky, but you can do this during the morning as the music was turned down. The breakfast is the real selling point, it’s like a fine dining three course meal. I got the Japanese style and didn’t regret it. It was fabulous so kudos to the chef & kitchen team. Hotel staff were also very friendly and helpful and kept my bags for me before and after my stay. It’s a good area too, with bars and restaurants in walking distance and easy access to buses and the subway

No, it provided all of my needs

Excellent location with subway train stop <1min away lots of shopping & restaurants, friendly nice staff, common area with lots of tables/chairs, free fast wifi, bar & restaurant, fresh towels, bag storage and quiet.

Watch out Fukuoka has accommodation tax payable to hotel. I have stayed in other pod/capsule hotels in Japan & you have been able to lock all your bags under the bed/the draw/locker but not possible here. Also the draw is super low so doesn’t fit standard suitcases which is annoying but they do offer to store your suitcase downstairs maybe I should have but don’t know what was more inconvenient. Pain when sheets/bedding come out they aren’t big/long enough to tuck in properly. No in between with light/dimmer. Could have been a little cleaner the room (found rubbish and photos of a previous stayer) & someone to do a quick clean check around bathrooms (again others Ive stayed do this).

The location was superb, right outside of exit 2 and 3 of Nakasu-Kawabata station. The facilities were high quality and as clean as they can be considering the nature of the hotel. Staff were very professional and helpful. The hotel seems to be focused on business travellers, with outstanding co-working facilities.

The hotel is located inside of The Lively, which can be confusing if you don’t check the location beforehand. The price is not the cheapest, especially on weekends when it gets close to the cost of a full room in other hotels.

These pods were so innovative, loved the design where you could create a bed for night and sofa for day. You can even set an 'alarm' where the bed automatically sits you up. Loved the dark ambience of the whole place. Breakfast was an absolute stand-out - ridiculously high quality and delicious with a choice between Japanese and western and a buffet of drinks to choose from. The bar and lounge are gorgeous and so well decorated.

The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner.
