Great quiet side-road small scale hotel, with around 20 rooms. The pool is the unique selling point: right at your doorstep. Breakfast is pretty basic with watered juices, no real bread. But egg station and some thai breakfast options available. More beautiful than in the pictures.

They messed up the laundry and offered it for free but all shirts were ruined. No real coffee available, just instant coffee, also instant cofffee machine without beans at breakfast. Can be noisy, depends on other guests. Little sound insulation. Dated gym. So not really 4 stars but should be 3 stars, also bathroom dated.

Very nice, small and quiet hotel with great cliff view. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfasts were amazing, every day something was changed in the menu. Rooms are clean and nice especially the ones with direct pool access. Place is perfect for families. Very green. Although distance to the beach is like 20 min walk it's not a problem. 5 times a day hotel has transfer to the beach (free of charge). They can drive you to the beach any time for a small fee. 7 Eleven shop is located few minutes by walk. Restaurant is nice with reasonable prices. Main street is just few hundreds meters away. Close but in the evening far enough from noise.

Beach could be a bit closer but don't take distance to the beach as a decision criterium!

There was a bad smell in the bathroom.

The service and hospitality of the staff was outstanding. Literally everybody was really friendly and helpfull. The food and drinks were also very good (I would recommend the mojito ;) ). They bring it to your room or at the pool, so you can enjoy your holiday even more. After we checked-out, we still had a few hours to spend before our flight. We were able to make use of the pool and the bar. After that, they let us shower in a seperate building with fresh towels. And last, but not least, the view! It is located right besides a cliff. In the evening, parts of the cliff are lighted up. Amazing! I would really recommend this place to everyone!

Location or property was excellent; far from the noise of town and at the same time relatively close to area with restaurants, money exchange offices, grocery stores etc. Shade from the mountain allows you to spend lovely time hanging out by the pool. Hotel staff was very nice and always eager to help. Amazing pool with stunning view of the cliffs.

Breakfast in this hotel is a real disappointment. If I had known this before, I would not have purchased it by booking. For the same money you can enjoy amazing meal in many restaurants in town. More detailed: variety of food was not great, most of times meal was cold, fruits and vegetables were not fresh; we had to wait quite long for our fried eggs and boiled eggs were not available but cooked upon request.

The view on the cliff was amazing! Nice swimming pools to which you have access straight from your villa. Really friendly and helpful staff at the breakfast. The breakfast itself was good, every day it was a little bit different in choice of food. There are cute bamboo baby chairs and cutlery for the little ones. Just by the restaurant there is space for kids to play! That was really great, so the parent can enjoy his breakfast in the peace :) The hotel provides free transfer to and from the beach 4 times a day. As it’s a bit far away if you are with kids, but you can always take a tuk tuk, taxi or arrange it at the reception. Shops, restaurants are at the walking distance.

It is a truly beautiful setting. The cliffs mean it is a little cooler and less humid than near the beach as well which is great to come back to. There are lots of places to eat right near the hotel, including a lovely coffee and breakfast place and then the 7 eleven is a 7 to 10min walk. It is about a half an hour walk to the beach but you walk down the main strip to get there so again lots of places to eat and shop. The hotel shuttle is good but we just took a tuk tuk if we wanted to go out at a different time, depending on time and how many of you was usually between 170 and 200 baht so very cheap. They also have to bikes you can borrow as well if you'd rather ride down to the beach. Breakfast is lovely and very good value for money but if you get bored the cafe opposite is lovely and not much more money. We ate in the restaurant quite a bit and the food was always tasty and the cocktails and smoothies are yummy. The staff as well are brilliant, so welcoming and friendly and it really made our holiday. They have a great Laundry service and reception can also book you taxi tours for example to the tiger temple so you don't have to do the prepackaged tours. The taxi just waits for you to visit and then brings you home when you are ready. We were all very pleased with this choice and thought it a much more tranquil and beautiful location than staying near the beach or on the main strip.

We really enjoyed staying here for a week in Krabi. It is in a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang beach but there are regular shuttle buses daily to take you drop you off at the beach. Our rooms were comfortable and clean - we had pool terrace room and it was great to be able to walk straight out onto the poolside. There are lots of great places down the road to eat - we would recommend Smiling Buffalo for brunch. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we recommend this stay and felt it wad good value for money.

This was our second time staying with the kids at the Scene. We kept our return there a surprise for the little ones and their sheer enthusiasm when our driver stopped in the parking lot perfectly describes what a great place this is. Amazing clean rooms, very quiet, impeccable service from the staff, a wonderful pool overlooking the cliffs and a very nice breakfast. It is a bit farther from the beach than other hotels but a short tuk tuk ride solves this problem. There are options to dine nearby so you fo not need to use the tuk tuk every single time. All in all we loved our stay here and I am confident we will return. PS: thank you to the amazing staff for gifting our kids some small souvenirs. Even though they had already bought something very similar they loved the ones from the Scene more just because they associated them with one of their favorite hotels!

Such a gorgeous hotel in Ao Nang! It is in the perfect location - away from chaos but close to get to the beach either by a walk (20 mins), taxi or shuttle bus service (they offer this for free at certain times throughout the day or it’s 120bhat for the taxi). My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in February. The hotel has lots of families and couples staying. If you have kids they have a play room up by the restaurant - plus a gym. The rooms were really clean and spacious. The pool was gorgeous and the view the was amazing. The food for breakfast was perfect. You could also order food to your room / or sun bed throughout the day. We tried lots on their menu and it was all amazing.
