The location is fantastic—just steps away from the Tainan train station and directly connected to the Far Eastern shopping centre. The spacious room was a delight, and the price for three nights was excellent value for my mum & I. There are small eateries nearby, which added to the convenience. The staff were friendly, spoke fluent English, and provided great recommendations.

No one offered to help with my heavy luggage at check-in, which was disappointing. Security could be better, as guest floors are accessible without an access card. Also, the limited power sockets were frustrating, making it hard to charge multiple devices efficiently.

Great location, within walking distance to Tainan Station (back door exit), which links us to Shalun Station for the HSR and outlet shopping Multiple small eateries and stalls around the area as its a vibrant university youth area. Just a note that breakfast places are relatively scarce Links to a mall which has a food area and stalls selling basic items if you run out Comfortable room and great view of the city. Our room overlooked the railway tracks which provided entertainment for our toddler Toilet is huge and separates wet and dry areas.

Nil - we loved our stay here so much that we compare this as Heaven and our previous accommodation as hell If I have to nitpick at something, I would say the pillows were too soft but that's a personal preference

Gave us a free room upgrade, convenient location 2 minute walk from Tainan High speed rail station. Comfortable beds and clean room. Customer service was great as we mentioned that we had been bitten by mosquitos, and they sent housecleaning to investigate and provided a plug-in insect repellent and rang us to make sure we were happy. Right next to a shopping centre with an entryway from hotel lobby.

Windows were slightly dirty, which impacted the room view (we were on the 27th floor and could see most of Tainan. Breakfast could be better, very weak choices for the price we paid (1306 TWD for 2 people)

The location is good, just across the road from the railway station. The breakfast area is luxurious and the food is tasty with a wide selection. Great view from the window of our room, toilet is very spacious and even has a retractable clothesline above the bathtub. Room feels luxurious and spacious.

The shower glass door was squeaky and required more force to open, due to the door plastic strip which was designed to prevent water from leaking. The hotel was quick to fix it. The area outside the mall next to the hotel, had many steps and my elderly father fell down at one of the steps while walking through the area. It’s not the hotel’s fault, but it poses a hazard to people.

Loved the spacious room with a view on the 36th floor. Hotel had 38 floors in total and the 38th floor was their Chinese restaurant. Loved the nice-smelling toiletries and the lovely service: they helped microwave our leftovers and served them in plates and bowls for breakfast. Convenient location right next to Tainan MRT station and there was a bus stop right opposite the location to visit some tourist attractions.

The mould stains in the shower - between the gaps on the tiles. Did not call to inform the UberEats deliveries had arrived. Check-jn was later at 4pm instead of 3pm. Asked for and was provided cutleries to eat my take away dessert in the lobby at first but then one of the ushers then asked if I was still a hotel guest - I had just checked out and he seemed to imply that only current hotel guests could enjoy that privilege - this left a rather bad taste after we had stayed two nights here (average of aud200/night without breakfast).

Big, clean and quiet room. Nice breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Great wellness center (not cheap).

The four elevators are still too slow and cause long waits and traffic jams. Room service is very slow (one hour waits) and speaks very poor English, ordering is a challenge (the food is good though). There's massive construction at the station (early 2024) so to get to the city center you need to walk along a frankly dangerous road. The hotel design misses the mark for me and reminds me of a parking garage. Food smell from the 10th floor buffet fills the whole building. All in all it felt like good value for money but a little quirky and rough around the edges.

The staff were efficient and friendly. Hotel is clean and breakfast was sumptuous

I didn’t like the reservation team who I was sending messages with before our arrival. Whoever it was, the person was not hospitable and not cordial to say the least. I can accept a negative answer but not when said with an attitude. Communication could have been more clear and friendlier.

For breakfast there are the dishes for Oxidental food, Tailand food, Indian Food and local Taiwanese food. The regular coffee is extremely wonderful and rare for most travellers. The hotel upgraded my room for awarding my re-visit to this hotel within 3-month. The Shanghai Pavilion is a very nice place to enjoy the food of Shanghai style; the process of cooking for the food of Shanghai is quite subtle & delicate.

For this trip, at Shanghai Pavilion, the options of dessert are comparatively fewer than that in January, 2024. Hope that there will be more options of dessert available at Shanghai Pavilion during my next stay at this hotel.

The immediate surroundings of the hotel, particularly the main station area, are quite busy and somewhat run-down. The breakfast area would benefit from more natural light and is often crowded. Additionally, the tables are placed very close together in certain parts of the room. In our room, the air conditioning could not be adjusted to a specific temperature; it could only be turned off or set to blow rather cold air, regardless of the temperature displayed on the control.
