The general decor of the hotel was very attractive. Ultra clean and comfortable. lovely bathroom well equipped with great facilities. Bed extremely comfortable. location perfect, right in the centre of the city. Having a private garage was a bonus as we were only there for a couple of days so we just parked up and didn't need to worry about the car. Breakfast was fab with a great selection of both sweet and savoury. All in all a great experience

the only thing I would fault, which probably is a design issue due to the room dimensions but the positioning of the bed meant that on one side the gap was a little narrow so it was necessary to squeeze through to get to the bed. But it was only a small detail which didn't detract from the overall experience.

The staff were wonderful, especially Celeste who even parked my car in the tight space in the garage. Breakfast is great: bacon, eggs, cold cuts, fruit, pastries, bread, juices. The shower was large by Italian standards. The location could not have been better, right on the lively Piaza delle Erbe and just a few minutes from the Palazzo Ducale.

The garage was a little hard to find, and the space is tight BUT the staff were helpful. We left very early, and they moved our car to a spot adjacent to the hotel.

Location is perfect! In the center of the old city…beautiful restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping nearby….as well as churches and other famous places in the city.

Honestly everything was wonderful. I had a beautiful room that was very comfortable. I wish they had out on the AC prior to arrival because the room was about 95 degrees….but not a huge deal as the the AC worked well. Parking is a bit challenging….but once you do it a few times it gets easier.

Great central location with knock-out views from the windows/balconies. Bright, airy, very clean and modern suite in an old renovated palazzo. Very nice breakfast. Very pleasant, helpful staff. Secure, private parking 100 meters away. Ask for room 406 - 2 balconies AND a seated terrace!

Empty mini fridge. Paper cups, instead of glassware. NO COFFEE MACHINE!? Just an old fashioned kettle with low-end tea selection. No tissues. Very noisy bar across the street stays open until late and the windows don't keep out the noise.

We an older couple both disabled stayed for four nights in this lovely hotel situated in the middle oft the old town. Most impressed we were from the staff. In particular from Maria at the reception. Incredible helpful and she did everything for us with a smile. Thank you so much Maria. We enjoyed the four days stay very much.

We had a superior suite with balcony. The furnishings is in need of improvement. One armchair, a small wall cupboard, bedside table almost useless but a very good bed.

Absolutely fantastic location. Reception staff is absolutely great, guiding us through the limited traffic zone. We were upgraded to a very nice suite with wonderful view. Beds are good, bathroom too. Not too noisy, because quiet time of the year (in summer it may be more noisy). Car is parked by hotel in garage nearby. Good breakfast (a bit standard hotel-style).

Can't think of anything. Extra blankets would have been welcome since the room was a bit cold and we don't like to use the airco/heating system. Sorry that we only could stay one night.

Our suite was spacious with windows and balconies over one of the historical central squares of the old town. Great breakfast with large choice of pastries. The hotel is located in the very city center with limited traffic, and offers car passes for circulation and parking.

Breakfast room was a bit cramped and stayed open until 10am during the week -- for a 4-star hotel it could stay open a bit longer.

It was cool, elegant and spotlessly clean. We requested secure parking, which was an additional cost, but worth the peace of mind. We were offered free drinks in the rooftop bar on arrival, and upgraded to a suite that had dual aspect across the old town and a small balcony with table and chairs. Staff were excellent - knowledgeable and helpful.

The fridge didn't work at first but was soon fixed when we spoke to reception. The room was a bit chilly and the remote control didn't make it any warmer. If we had spoken to reception I am sure they would have fixed the temperature.

We had a lovely stay at The Grand Hotel San Lorenzo. The Suite we shared as a group of friends was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. The main asset of this Hotel however apart from its fantastic location in the centre of Mantova are the staff. Special mention must go to them - especially Maria in Reception and the young Barman. This young team were all very friendly and professional dealing with all situations quickly and efficiently. I hope the Management appreciate them! Just one other thing for the Management to think about and inform guests in advance - it was 10 euros for each drink in the rooftop bar, whatever drink you chose. However regardless of this we certainly enjoyed our time there and the view over the town was exceptional.
