We were getting on a cruise and stayed at Casa Su Mare for 2nights. The location was perfect. We walked all over town. Good restaurants. You could walk to the docks but We choice not to walk and get a driver. The view out my room was perfect with a view to the sea. Casa Su Mare was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Ambra does a wonderful job preparing breakfast filled with fresh fruit, pastries and breads, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and several juices. Coffee was perfectly brewed. The owner Loris is friendly. Always smiling. Helped with dinner reservations and arranging for a car to the docks.His love for the property shines through. We will definitely stay again if we cruise out of that port.

Wow, this is the most phenomenal place to stay in Civitavecchia. We were greeted by the most cheerful people in Loris and Ambra. They were just so happy we were there. The location is amazing right on the sea in front of the soldier kissing the nurse statue. The rooms are extremely clean. They actually just look like they are brand new and open for the first day!! Ambra took care of our breakfast and it was relaxing and wonderful. The coffee is amazing. It happened to be my birthday and Ambra’s birthday on the same day. So, in comes crazy funny Loris with flowers and singing music for us at breakfast. They are just above and beyond. We cannot wait to come back to stay again.

There is not a thing you cannot like about this place. It’s perfect!

We had a wonderful stay of four nights at the Casa sul Mare. The room was large, comfortable and ultra-clean and the view of the sea from the balcony was great. The location was perfect, within easy walking distance of cafes and restaurants in this delightful seaside town. Lorris and Rita were exceptionally hospitable and helpful, recommending excellent restaurants and arranging transport to our cruise ship at the end of our stay. They were also invaluable in advising us where to obtain our Covid tests for the cruise. I would highly recommend the B&B to anyone spending time in Civitavecchia, whether for one night or a longer stay.

Everything was great! We were on a family vacation and our family ended up booking out the entire B&B. One part of our family took a shuttle and we took the train. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. It felt like a home away from home. Our hosts were fantastic. We were able to walk to a delicious restaurant on the beach with no problem. And there was major partying going on outside that night and didn't hear anything! We all slept well and thoroughly enjoyed the pistachio pastry. The views were great! It was all great. Can't say enough good things. Thank you Casa Sul Mare!

Loris and Ambra were excellent- they greeted us with enthusiasm and briefed us on the details of the stay. They were always available for help or to ask questions. The view was spectacular but the noise/music from the street went late, making it a bit difficult to sleep. The best was comfortable, the AC worked great, as did the TV. Breakfast was continental with fresh pastries and delicious cappuccino or coffee. The place is small with only 5 rooms to rent which made it very relaxed, with one common room for breakfast. The location is fantastic and near many restaurants and downtown. Highly recommend this, especially if you want to get away from bigger facilities and crowds. We felt like we were part of their family. Loved out stay

price was a bit high. Paid more here for a room than for a suite in central Rome .

We stayed for one night after a cruise and were able to walk to the B&B. We were made to feel very welcome. Loris carried our luggage upstairs. He then printed off the train timetable for us to visit Tarquinia. Lovely view from the balcony of our room, very comfortable bed with lots of storage in the room. We really enjoyed the atmosphere at breakfast the next morning around the communal table, very good food too. Loris had booked a taxi to take us to the airport. Ambra took us to meet the taxi and everything went very smoothly. We wished that we had booked more than one nights stay, location was excellent.

Perfect stay for a couple days before the cruise

It is right downtown and we got watch a mid aged homeless man deal with the police. The tall, bald Police officer spent 3+ hours working with this man over a two night period. When the man struggling chased a dog away with a metal pole and struck a car it got interesting. In Texas the man is probably in the hospital. The tall police officer asked permission and then carried the homeless man’s belongings (yes along with the pole) to the cars awaiting. The police training for people struggling with mental health issues should be applauded.

It all started with Loris guiding us to select and use a transport company they recommend. This saved us a couple of hours and headaches others experienced not using it. The driver coordinated with them and Loris was kind enough to meet us and take our bags up to the room. Our entrance to the place was overwhelming. We felt like we were going into one of our closest family members' homes. It was so warm and welcoming. This is a gem of a place and the rooms are very private and comfortable. The baking and service are beyond anything you get in all 5-star hotels. Well done to Loris and Mama and your friendliness was amazing. My wife loved the smell of the shower gel and the towels all smelled so good. We will only ever stay here.

There are nothing negative or improvement suggestions we could possibly think of.

Loris,Amar and their mommy took us in like a family, tried their best to make us feel comfortable and at home. I came in sick with vertigo and my friend with bad cough after the Maditeranean cruise and Loris help us to get the medicine and in 2 days we are better. My friend lost her luggage at the port and Loris took his bike to look for it every port office even at the police station. What else do we expect?? Rita Lori's and Amar...you are just spectacular and.not to forget food around the clock

Of 4 nights I need to take another room for a night... opposite casa de la sur. I would suggest the air BnB learn from casa de la sur

The staff is amazing. Family run and very helpful. The entry area into the BnB looks a bit dodgy but don't let that fool you. You will be amazed at how the staff will greet you, take your luggage and bring you to the BnB. There is a small elevator to the BnB for those who need it. Once there, you will find very clean rooms with a great breakfast and good advice for local restaurants which are numerous. Guests are often coming or going for cruises given the location, but there's much more to Civitavecchia than a cruise port. The Civitavecchia Market is quite large and worth a look even if you aren't buying. Another couple at the BnB enjoyed a private pasta cooking class nearby and were taken through the market for ingredients beforehand. During our brief stay, there were US, German and UK visitors there and we all shared travel stories during breakfast. We arrived early, as is often the case with flights into Rome from the US, and we were able to check into one of our two rooms for an additional 50 Euros- well worth it given jetlag. The next day, when one of our party was ill, we were able to check out much later than the required check-out time for another fee and well before we would have been able to board our cruise ship. Very helpful. (This early-checkin/late-checkout is not a guarenteed option. Its only available if your room is open given the status of prior/following bookings.) You can walk with your luggage to the cruise port quite easily where you can take a shuttle bus to the boats further down the dock, or if on a smaller ship, you might be able to walk right to the ship as we did. The staff offered to arrange the transfer from the Rome airport which we did. It also cost a bit less than other transfer services. That was helpful because the driver called the BnB ahead of time so the staff knew we were arriving to greet us and take luggage. Other guests who were there were able to take the train between Civitavecchia and Rome city.
