The room was bright and clean with windows that opened over the street and canal below. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The lobby is a coffee shop and offers an a la carte menu for breakfast. The location is within close walking distance to all of the restaurants, pubs and shopping, but far enough away to feel quiet and secluded. It was a little over 1K walk from the train station to the hotel. Alkmaar station has buses and trains that go every direction, so easy to get to and from on mass transportation.

The room is really nice, beautiful and cozy. It is quite big. The view is also great just next to cannel. Location of the hotel is perfect. Just a few mins work can reach bars and restaurants. The staff are very kind. I had late check in and heavy suitcase. They opened the door for me and carried it for me to my room. Really appreciated. Above all, I really recommand this hotel and will stay again if in Alkmaar.

Boutique hotel located very near the Cheese Market square. Good restaurants nearby. Room was very spacious and beautifully decorated included dressing area and huge stand alone tub. Great stay!

The only issue we had was the very narrow winding staircases - it took two strong men to negotiate the stairs with luggage.

Absolutely loved the historical building the hotel was situated. I like the idea of a concept store x hotel. Our room had an open concept - minimal design, with a beautiful bath tub and lovely views over a bridge and the canals.

Hotel Luttik is a true gem in the old centre of Alkmaar. The building is from the 1600, beautiful restored and full of character. The owners and staff are very friendly and accommodating, the morning breakfast in the breakfast basket in the room is fantastic, everything is fresh, local and yummy. The room is spacious, comfortable and provides a relaxed environment to come home to. The hotel is in walking distance of restaurants, stores, cafe's and the inner city of Alkmaar. The room looked out on the old inner city and was on one of the old streets with channels, which makes it a picturesque and unique!

Outside of the fact that we had to carry our suitcases up the stairs as there was not elevator available in the building (remember it is an old protected building), there is nothing we would change.

Location was very good. Moden super clean room. The huge tub was an expected surprise.

We arrived after 6 pm. Would have appreciated specific directions on where to park. The steps were a challenge, especially with luggage. Maybe communicate this clearly on website so guests understand.

The rooms have a very cool esthetic. The hotel is very centrally positioned and there is a cool boutique downstairs.

Stairs can be a little tricky for older people. Breakfast is overpriced for what they offer.

Nothing at all. One tip: Don‘t put all stuff into one luggage when you book room 6 (top floor, very nice and good view…) The stairs are very british and steep..

I loved the design of the place, the cozy feeling one had inside, the beautiful view of the city, the comfortable furniture, the bathtub, the coffee served to one's room, the friendly stuff... All of this combined made our experience a great one!

Truly exceptional place to stay. Fabulous room, delicious breakfast. It’s located right in heart of the city, still not too noisy at night.
