If Paradise has a name it is Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach. Especially the staff is wonderful and so friendly it makes you want to hide from the evil world outside and stay there forever. Excellent choice of local and international food, great swimming pools with, one of my favorite things of all time, a swim-up-bar, very luxurious room with a big balcony, an ocean view and a quiet pleasant airconditiong system.

When we went to pay the bill it turnsed out that all prices mentioned within the resort, for both food and drinks but also for massages, are excluding 11% taxes and 10% service.

Staff was very hospitable and attentive. They went out of their way to make us feel special. We were celebrating our 20th Anniversary and they delighted us with room and table decor. All meals were excellent and the chef does a great job of the plating as well! Overall, highly recommend.

Fantastic pool area overlooking pristine white beach. Loved the traditional decor and the room was lovely and spacious. Great range of options for breakfast. Excellent traditional cuisine for lunch and dinner. Very friendly and attentive staff from arrival to departure.

Will breakdown this review into 3 sections. Journey to the hotel, the hotel itself, and the hotel employees. JOURNEY TO THE HOTEL: Took a ferry from Singapore, told the hotel via their whatsapp on our ETA to the ferry terminal and they arranged a hotel car pick up. Hotel car was on the dot only waited 5 minutes before we could get into it. Smooth ride & took about 10 minutes to reach the hotel from Bandar Bintan Telani Ferry Terminal. Hassle free would highly recommend. THE HOTEL ITSELF: Hotel is relatively new so facilities like the gym, lounge areas, & external view of the hotel looks aesthetic and is well maintained definitely has the high-end hotel vibe. We booked the Standard Ocean View Two Double Beds room. For what you're paying, the room really went above & beyond expectations in all aspects ESPECIALLY the cleanliness, 10/10, would rate 11 honestly. Breakfast buffet was fantastic had a very good spread and excellent food quality by a mile compared to other same level hotels I've been to. Dinner buffet was also really nice with lots of options of meat & seafood. We did Al la carte lunch and hands down was the best meal of the stay. Had a beef curry with veggies & rice and seafood noodles, both were perfect. THE HOTEL EMPLOYEES: The friendliest hotel team I've ever came across so far. I think every person we met greeted us with a Welcome or Good morning and it just felt really wholesome. Overall service in the hotel was prompt & organized even during peak times at the breakfast buffet. We would like specially thank Ms Dian the Guest Relations Manager for her genuine willingness to help us with our inquires & requests and her authentic warm-hearted personality that really made the big difference for me compared to other luxury hotels I've stayed in before. She gave us a spectacular first impression of Hotel Indigo Bintan. Also shout out to whoever helped decorate our room for the Birthday & the Cake!

- A couple stains on the fabric of outdoor seats & couches but nothing too serious to be honest - Maybe would be nice to re-paint bottom of the water fountain area at the entrance of the hotel where the mini ships with orange sails are. Looked like it was peeling off a but overall still looked great! - The sauce used for our stir-fry beef from the stir-fry station during the dinner buffet at SugarBeats was quite salty, maybe just a tad less would have made it perfect. - The vanilla pudding or jelly-like vanilla dessert during the dinner buffet at SugarBeats was bland. Did not taste much vanilla in it, thankfully there were plenty of other desserts to choose from.

Staff service was amazing, very friendly, and attentive. Free birthday cake was provided upon request. Angga, who also serves as the bartender, took some time to share his experience working in Bintan so far, introduced some local wines, and spirits. Room has an amazing view, the resort is very peaceful, and bicycles are available for free. Free shuttle/transfer provided to/from airport and Plaza Lagoi. Good for a short and simple getaway.

Long waiting time for food, perhaps they just opened and are still getting adjusted to the number of guests. I believe it will only get better from here

Service is impeccable. New luxurious hotel set in a gated resort area with several high end hotels. Very Zen and stunningly beautiful place with amazing lighting of the ground and elaborate pool areas. The pool areas a superbly layed out as too the beach area.

The food is somewhat repetitive, and there is little or no alternative within the hotel complex. With only 2 small restaurants and one was closed on a few days it might be quite hectic on a full house senario. The bar service, although impeccable, was slow in drink delivery.. when you are a captive audience in a large gated community you will not experience a true Indonesian lifestyle unless you travel out and about.

Lovely staff who are always keen to help and assist you, great location with private beach and plenty of space to accomodate (sunbeds, coves) and good spa at neighbouring hotel available for use. Rooms are beautiful and nicely furnished and all have a great view of the sea.

Food options were a bit limited and I think if we were there for longer than 3 nights would have become an issue. Breakfast was good enough but for lunch and dinner would expect more options. Satay bar is very nice but closed 2 nights a week and can only accomodate 12 people so need to book in advance. On our 2nd night the bathroom had a smell coming from the vent, we were initially helped by housekeeping who brought an air purifier however they agreed it needed more looking into which resulting in plumbers coming at 10pm and unblocking a drain, which we were told was because of toilet paper (odd because we barely used any). The smell unfortunately returned the following night but was not as bad so we did not report it and we were leaving early the next morning so just wanted to sleep.

Very clean. Fantastic location, 10 mins away from the ferry terminal. Nice pool side bar. Friendly staff. Efficient and fast room service. Masseuse at the Spa (tied together with Holiday Inn) was on point. (However outta 4 only one of us had a bad experience, as the masseuse was using her phone during the massage) Had some fireworks on Saturday 🥳

Running at full capacity, they were under staffed. When we got seated for dinner at stix, a glass of water took 30 mins to come, while the first food took 45mins (Nonetheless, the food at stix was amazing. A must try when you’re here, esp the bbq prawns). Feel like water should be served when any guest were seated for a meal. Variety of food could be better at their main restaurant. Lack of vegetarian options. Should have some more vegetarian options at their main restroom and at stix too. Definitely understand if water sports are chargeable, but even peddle boarding was on chargeable. Such free and easy activities should be given free to guest like other hotel/resorts.
