The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the historical town. The area is pedestrian, but the hotel has good parking facilities very close. The rooms are furnished in old style so that they respect the atmosphere of the ancient palace. Very clean and good breakfast with several options.

The bathroom looks a bit shabby, but it could be because there for sure are limitations to possible renovations due to preservation rules. Our room had a conditioning machine that directs air out of the window with a pipe that goes into the windowpane and it doesn't look 4 stars, but, again, I suppose it was difficult to do better. It functioned perfectly, though.

City centre location with adjacent parking included just need to display the voucher reception give you on checking in. Bed and room were really big and comfortable. Breakfast was ok.j

Car park attendant seemed not to be there on arrival and sat nav directed us to a barrier to a pedestrian area to the side of the hotel that was marked as only accessible by the Fire Brigade. After we realised that the car park next to the barrier was the one for the hotel as it was not signed clearly we discovered the attendant was in his hut after we got out of the car. He could have been more observant and helpful. The hot water had to be run for a long time to reach the tap at a temperature you would like to shower. There was a rumbling noise frequently day and night but we have no idea what caused it.

The food was excellent. The staff was great, they were available for us and helped us check in at a very late hour, as we traveled by train and we were there at aroun 00:00 a.m.. Location was also great, very close to the Christmas fair.

The furniture was old and not child friendly (a lot of sharp corners and glass coverings that were easy to pull off, the power sockets not safe). I appreciate they had a free child cot available for us, but we didn't use it because it didn't have a proper mattress and it was very close to the floor so it was quite cold for the baby. In the end the baby slept with us on the main bed.

very Great Place to stay in middle of the city , spa area with sauna is huge

the bathroom was awful! when you just taking a shower the water was coming out of the drain immediately. we just stayed for 1 night so a change of the room was not possible anymore. the hotel was not willing to offer us something . by the way I noticed the owner or some adviser of the cleaning ladies was talking very strict and not nicely to them.

The location is perfect, right in the old center. Room was spacious and the bed was really comfy. I really liked that the hotel was quiet even though is so near to everything.

The rooms and facilites are poorly maintained (for a 4 stars hotel). The pool water was smeling bad and there were little black pieces of something floating everywhere in the water, also the water fountain in the pool is rusty....and the pool noodles had black spots on them - if you come here for the pool is not worth your money. Breakfast was average, there is some variety in the options but felt like there wasn't enough for everyone, again not raising up to expectations for a 4 stars hotel

It is perfectly located for the city centre The room was a big one, but not what I expected for the price paid.

I didn’t expect to find such a small bathroom with a lot of things that need to be replaced or repaired. The bathtub it is visible overuse and needs to be replaced. The room was a bit noisy. The bed needs a new mattress or at least a new topper. Didn’t expect to pay for the product from the bar inside the room after paying quite much money (those money were only because of location, nothing else, I assume) The pool is quite dirty. At least it was at a time when I was there. The only lift available for the pool area was for staff only....so if you have some difficulties with stairs I couldn't find any other way to get there.

The heated indoor pool was perfect after spending some time in Christmas Market on cold days. The spa facilities, including the sauna and steam room, were pristine and added to the relaxation. The hotel staff was exceptional, always go above and beyond to make sure guests felt well-cared for. They were friendly, professional and responsive to every request. I would highly recommend the hotel Imparatul Romanilor to anyone looking for a high-quality escape. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

The location directly in the old center and the historic vibe were the two biggest selling points for us, and we weren’t disappointed. The decor and room appointments had an air of faded glory, but everything was clean and well-maintained. It felt authentic and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Having the pool and sauna available was a relief while traveling, and car parking next door was easy and free (and guarded!).

Our room wasn’t fully accessible by elevator; there were some additional stairs we had to navigate with heavy luggage. And, hot water in the in-room bathroom was unreliable.

Everything❣️ Staff are very friendly. They upgrade me to a triple room free of charge! I had a beautiful big room. Amazing breakfast, In the very centre, in the pedestrian street but if you come with taxi, no problem, is just behind the building. 2 minutes walk. They have "Theapeutic pool" . Very small and worm 36c which becomes jacuzzi for 5 minutes if u wish + souna and Spa. Massage if you wish for additional charge . As it was raining 2 days I had 2 wonderful afternoon in the pool & massage PERFECT❣️❣️

unfortunately, our bathroom was very tight and really uncomfortable to use. We asked to be moved to another room after a few days and that room was great. Apparently, each room is a different size and the bathroom sizes vary a lot.
