Location was great, right in the heart of Insadong. Easy access to shopping, food and sights.

Ongoing construction. There was some construction work going on in the building, especially the front door area. It was tough to find the entrance since it was closed for construction and guests had to use the back door.

Did not expect the free facilities (e.g., onsen and supper)! Truly enjoyed them

The heating in the room was very hard to control. Some nights it was too stuffy, other nights were too cold.

I have good impression of the property and all the staffs. For a solo traveller, the room I had was just nice for me and one 24” luggage but for 2 it might be tight if you have 2 large suitcases. It has free self service laundry washing machines(detergent is free) and the drying machine cost 2000yen for 45mins which is a good deal. Train station is within 5mins walk down a slope and lots of places to eat once you walk downhill. There’s a 7 Eleven just beside the hotel and a cafe just opposite if you just want a snack. Theres a relaxing onsen(public bath) which is nice after a long day of walking. Hotel provides free ramen between 9pm to 10.30pm, free ice cream during the afternoon and yakult in the morning. Breakfast is good, I would recommend it just to try out different varieties of Korean and Japanese food on the days when you want to relax and chill in the morning and not worry about what to eat.

The slope going up the hotel is no joke. Going up with luggages can be too much for travellers that are not used to climbing up long and steep slopes with heavy loads. Not a climb for elderlies but if you are there directly coming from the airport, I would very much suggest taking the AirPort Express bus or taxi. Be ready to climb the slope up daily as you head out but I like the climb cause it helps me feel better with the food I had that day :). Even with the slope, I would still recommend the hotel because the hotel is actually pretty good and services from the staff is excellent.

The rooms are tiny, with NO room to store your clothes or luggage.

Great location, right near lots of restaurants and good transport links. Really peaceful hotel, once through the doors its nice and quiet. Lots of free goodies! Drink at reception, ice cream after onsen and 9pm noodles! The room was larger than I was expecting, had much needed aircon, a nice desk and huge mirrors! I'm plus size so struggled to fit comfortably in the bath however with the big public bath in the basement it didn't really matter and the shower was great, good water pressure and other amenities. I also used the laundry facilities which were nice and simple. Great customer service from reception, they were plesent on arrival and helped me book a taxi to the airport as well.

The bed was a little hard, I like a firm bed but this was just a bit too firm for me.

Overall, I think this is a good choice to visit Seoul, you have plenty connections with metro and busses, a lot of places to eat, drink. The best coffee place in Seoul is just next on the left. The staff was really kind, I was very tired when I arrived and they gave me a room 2 hours earlier than normal checkin time. Thank you, sir!

The bed, the most uncomfortable I've seen in a hotel for many years. The mattress is like a rock (I know that some ppl prefer like this), but for me, this was a disaster for my back. Also, the breakfast option is quite expensive, you can eat much cheaper around and have much, much better coffee next to the hotel.

We had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Dormy Inn. The customer service was excellent, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. One of the highlights was the open-air bath – perfect for relaxing after a long day. The hotel also offers great extras like free ice cream, evening ramen, and Vitagen each morning, which made the stay feel even more welcoming. It's within walking distance to several train stations, though we mostly took Uber due to road closures caused by a presidential impeachment event during our stay. Overall, a wonderful stay with great amenities, warm service, and a touch of Japanese hospitality. Highly recommended!

One area for improvement would be providing a seating area or lounge near the reception. It would be especially helpful for elderly guests while waiting during check-in or check-out.

The location was convenient and fun. There was plenty going on around the hotel and there were several metro stations nearby to get around Seoul. The staff were friendly and the hotel was quiet. Like all our hotels in South Korea there was a window that opened. This was fantastic - even though there was a little bit of street noise, it didn't last long.

The room was small, which I expected, but since it was the last stop on our trip it would have been handy to have space to more easily repack our suitcases. Something I'll think about for next time! The pillows were really small and we completely forgot to make use of the pillow rental service.

Rooms were a little small but we managed. Nothing else to complain.

Outstanding location, lovely bathing and dining facilities, and delightful perks such as the delicious evening noodle service. The staff members were attentive and gracious.

Mattresses were on the uncomfortably firm side, and the room (otherwise nicely laid out) lacked shelf/drawer/closet space. The bathroom was also well put-together but awkwardly small. A curved curtain rod would have made a world of difference. (Still, I would very happily stay there again.)
