We stayed at this hotel in Eureka for one night and found it to be architecturally and stylistically unique, with a charming and thoughtfully designed atmosphere. The front desk receptionist greeted us warmly and efficiently, making the check-in process smooth. Our room was spacious, pleasant, and clean. There is an elevator to the guest rooms, and the hotel offers free on-site parking, which is a great convenience.
From the parking area to the hotel entrance, there are several steps, which makes the property not fully accessible. The bathroom in our room was quite basic, and the breakfast offered was also rather minimal. We stayed just one night—arriving late in the evening and leaving early in the morning—and felt the price was a bit high for such a short stay. It would likely be a better value for guests staying multiple nights.

We enjoyed this historic hotel away from the main drag. it was quiet with a comfy bed, decent breakfast included, windows could open, coffee in room, closet, charging cube. We enjoyed the atmosphere of antique furniture & photos of famous folks who had stayed there. There was secure parking & we could walk everywhere for the RCMF.
bathroom door was hard to close. Need a fan for the bathroom. need more suitcase holders - 2 people sharing a room each have a suitcase but most hotels only provide 1 holder - makes no sense to me. Unable to find normal TV channel (CBS), desk couldn't help so I missed my NFL game.

The location was excellent - with the theater and two good neighborhood restaurants literally steps from the hotel, and the waterfront about six blocks away. The beds were comfortable, and there were excellent toiletries in the bathroom. The front reception 'great room' has been fully restored with vintage furnishings and a fireplace. A free continental breakfast was available in a small breakfast area. Free secure parking was available. A small mini-refrigerator was well-hidden in a cabinet.
The rooms have no air conditioning nor screens on the window, and only a small antiquated wall heater. The room telephone is purely decorative, and housekeeping service us by request only. The television service is strictly Roku/subscription service, with one of those minimalist controllers with no numbers, which my companies and I found very frustrating. There were only a handful of guests at the hotel, the restaurant did not open during our stay, and the lounge was open only from 5-9:30 pm on Fri/Sat evenings. My companion found the nearly empty vintage hotel somewhat creepy, but it added some ambience to our Halloween week...

The Eureka Inn is like a step back in time. The place was like a time capsule. The large public sitting room was beautifully decorated with a ongoing fire during the evenings making it very cozy. The room I stayed in was spacious for my friend and I and we had a sitting area in our room to chill out at the end of the day and watch TV. The beds were comfortable, with extra bedding to stay warm at night as it was a bit chilly in the room at night. I would definitely plan on staying again as the location is fantastic with onsite parking that is safe. The ladies at the concierge desk were also very friendly and helpful with suggestions as to places to eat and visit.
Our bedroom could have done with another lamp on the sitting room side so we could turn off the overhead lights while watching TV in the evenings. The bathroom also had mold on the ceiling, which I could not tell if it had been treated or not. However, it did not affect the use of the bathroom in general, and seeing that the building is old, it did not bother me (and I have a mold allergy). The restaurants inside the hotel were not open due to Covid and lack of employees, but there are plenty of yummy places in the area to eat at. I was told by the bartender that they are looking to open one of the restaurants in the foreseeable future so I am looking forward to that on my next trip to the area.

The room was nice. The bed very comfortable. Location near old town. Breakfast was better than some. The common areas are exceptional. The tv was a large screen Roku TV. I was able to link to my Ytube account with my phone and watch all my favorite sites.
The bathroom was too tiny. The door hit the toilet. There was no countertop space, only a 2 inch rim around the sink. The shower was a tub shower. As a 90 year old, tub showers are asking for a fall getting in and out. The bathroom is the only reason I did not rate the room excellent.

The hotel’s rich history and older decor was very fascinating. It was like stepping back in time. It was a great experience. The bed was comfy, the staff attentive. The location was great, we were able to easily walk to restaurants and the harbor, where there was a great ice cream place.
The rooms and bathrooms are small, there is no space to put your toiletries. It was fine for us, but something to consider. The breakfast was ok (no decaf coffee, which we drink). My husband’s allergies acted up and we think it was dust; however, the rooms and facilities very clean, so we do not think it was the hotel’s fault, just something that comes with older facilities. Parking was a bit limited late at night (both lots were full).

Hotel was clean and well taken care of, staff were helpful and friendly, very comfortable ambiance. We had a double room and both of us commented on the comfort of the bed and pillows, it was quiet and we were able to open the window for fresh air. We would have liked to be able to enjoy the fireplace downstairs but it needed repair, instead we were able to go into the lounge for a glass of wine and sit by the fire Friday evening. There is a breakfast room, that had fruit, cereal, yogurt, some pastries, coffee, tea. Very easy walking distance to Old Town, centrally located. Will definitely be back.
Certainly not a deal breaker, but getting the fireplace repaired would add to the ambience. Having some hot breakfast items buffet style would be nice.

LIKES Beds were super comfortable. I like soft while my husband likes hard beds - we both slept well. Room felt really homey, just missing a rug for the hardwood floor. We went to Target and got slippers. The hotel was super quiet. People were even whispering at breakfast. Small but mighty heater. Bathtub was large, and the hot water was abundant. Within walking distance to Starbucks and old town Eureka. The entire place was beautifully decorated! The furniture wasn't soiled and smelly like some of the Victorian hotels we have stayed in.
Dislike No ice machine on the 2nd floor. Cups in the room are the size of a shot glass. Breakfast was all continental. For the price of the hotel, breakfast could be better. Two of the three lamps weren't plugged in.

The first room they had for us was in pretty bad shape. The hotel was so beautiful down stairs we expected the same. When I explained this to one of the employees she understood and we received an offering of another room. To our pleasant surprise it was just perfect. To add to the good experience, we had a lovely cocktail in the beautiful bar. We enjoyed looking at the pictures and history of this very historic hotel. It’s a huge undertaking to maintain an older property but I’m so glad it being done. Memories were made once again. Thanks

I accidentally booked our stay for a weekend ahead of our trip. I was able to see my error when I went to check-in. The staff was very understanding and after I changed the date and got another room at the same price on the correct dates, we were able to check in and go right to the room with no problem.
It is an older buildings, so be prepared for creaky floors, thinner walls and noisy pipes. It was a bit expensive, but we'll worth the price.
