Full hot breakfast included, allowed early check in and breakfast for a small fee when we arrived off the bus from Pavones at 0900 in the morning, which was amazing after three hours of bumping along in a packed bus. Hotel is convenient to the airport, marina, and hospital. Short cab ride from the bus station. Prompt laundry service and huge pool. Tennis, ping pong, gym. Very reasonable massage available. Comfy bed. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Big change of pace from a remote cabina.

Restaurant prices were steep for the area, but the restaurant is convenient and the service friendly. The hotel also has some vibes of glory from decades past— but for me this kind of adds to the appeal, and really only needs more patronage to fix. If you are looking for “new” just be aware.

Very close to the ideal hotel room. Very cozy. Very spacious. Very nice staff. Amazing and comfortable pool. The room was excellent. The bed was spacious and more than big enough for two people. Everything was clean. Food in the restaurant was good and with very fast service. Breakfast was good and filling.

Not much to dislike. If I have to point something out, which are all small items where I think the hotel can improve. No water bottles, we came unprepared and didn’t bring water bottles. The light in the room was the LED white would make it cozier if it was more warm. One of the night lights weren’t working, which worked out because my girlfriend reads book and I read ebooks. The shower valve for selection was worn and didn’t allow full selection of either one. The shelf for the toilet sink was unsteady so my shaver fell down. I think if if these small things were inspected and fixed, it would only take maximum 5 minutes for everything except for the valve, that doesn’t matter it would be a truly perfect hotel room.

The staff were always happy to help whether it be laundry, transport or help with tours. The communal areas were spacious and airy. The meals were always very tasty, if a little on the large side for us. There was a general relaxed feel to the place. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days here.

We would have liked a kettle in the room to make tea (sorry we are English)

Air conditioner in our room was barely working and noisy. The room was small but ok. Way too many local teenagers in the pool on Sunday who horsed around and frequently splashed guests and made it very uncomfortable to relax or swim. The pool is very nice but not closed to resort patrons only. This made one day at the pool a poor experience.

This is a nice resort style hotel with a huge pool we really enjoyed with our children. The room was ok too, airconditioning worked fine, strong wifi everywhere. The receptionists, especially Angelica were really nice and helpful. The restaurant was really good, the prices were modest.

The breakfast was a bit boring and they stopped filling the buffet at around 8.40 altough breakfast was until 10, so at times the tables were almost empty when we arrived. We were there around Christmas and we couldn't find any reasonably priced tours in the area.

The room was spacious and nicely decorated in traditional Spanish colonial style, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel interior is decorated with artwork depicting the history of the area from the last century. The outdoor space was outstanding.

The strength of the wifi signal was inconsistent.

The rooms were quiet. Great water pressure in shower. The public areas were beautiful, especially the pool. The breakfast was great. The gym was, according to my husband, "The best I've seen in Costa Rica!" We were also grateful for their dog-friendly policies!! <3

The rooms need help. Mattress was just okay. The toilet handle had to be pulled up or it wouldn't stop running. I found this ironic because they had signs asking us to turn off the water while brushing teeth to conserve water. No wifi in rooms.

I go often, so that's why I don't review each and every time, but since the emails won't stop... It's a great location, the hotel is very nice, in the middle of the jungle, but with all the amenities. The gym is super-sized, the breakfast is amazing, what can I say... I'll go back every time I'm in the area. And the price is right!

The rooms were very comfortable - and had dehumidifiers, which was cool. The pool and lounging area was very nice. The property was very well developed.

It is a slightly older facility - which makes a lot of sense if you know about the history of Golfito.

Receptionist at the hotel Saturday May 6th at 4 pm. was rude, lacked completely customer service skills. she ruined our good mood with a poor attention to us, and wasn’t even able to welcome us to the hotel. also guys you need to change those pillows and shower head (it feels like a good hotel, until I went to sleep and when took showers).
