Front desk staff Lindsey was absolutely AMAZING! There was a BIG hiccup with double charge due to using booking.com. Lindsey helped my family and I by using the second charge for a second room instead. Luckily we needed another room other wise we would have been double charged and still waiting for a refund during a time of grieving since we was out of town due to funeral being held in NC.

Besides Lindsey I just think front staff need a little more training on how to explain rates and further looking into charges. We was explained $350 was a deposit! When actually it was a whole charge!

Room was very large and clean. Microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker included. Breakfast was great--variety of options including meat, eggs, make your own waffles, and cold items. Location was decent since I was using it as a base to hike in Dupont and surrounding areas.

Biggest con was cable TV. No way to scroll through the guide (just had to turn to channel 0 and let it cycle through) and no hard copy channel guide. Additionally many popular channels including ESPN were unavailable due to "expired contract with Disney." Kind of a bummer during the US Open. Also, the fridge did not seem to work very well.

We arrived early and were allowed to check in. Much appreciated. The room was clean, and the mattresses were not sagging, as they were at our previous hotel.

My only issue was the staff, while not rude, were not at all friendly. No smile to be seen. I think that says something about management. There was no tip jar in the breakfast area, so I found the staff working the area and handed her a tip directly. Her face lit up--and there was a smile, a wonderful smile.

Location, price, comfortable bed & clean

Was in room 138 and above me was a room with kids running all over. When I call the front desk, he said it was a Gym above me which is totally not correct. when I went to talk to him about it, I asked him to call them and ask him to stop that never happened. When they took a shower in the morning, it was like I was in their room. It was so loud.

Above average breakfast buffet. The indoor pool is functional. Special towels provided at poolside. We forgot clothing items in the bathroom. The staff saved everything for us. There are restaurants nearby. Easy access to interstate. Would definitely stay there again if in that area of the mountains. Think Carl Sandburg was from that area.

I asked for a late check out when I booked. I called to confirm the day before arrival. I was attending a wedding at 2pm just 30 mins away and it was freezing cold. They agreed to letting us checkout at 12:30 which was better than 11 and kept us from having to sit in the car in the cold for so long B4 the wedding. I appreciate the extra time given to get ready.

I have no complaints.

The spacious and clean setting. The large bathroom...I enjoyed the whole set up...we never really needed staff after we checked in...the continental breakfast had great variety and loved that it was a hot breakfast with healthy options.

The coffee in the room was not good. And I was hopeful there would be a hot tub next to the pool but I think that was just because it got so cold during our trip. But otherwise it was an ideal stay.

Clean, abundance of towels and washcloths, large mini-fridge, and the bonus of a microwave, several lamps in the room, 2 bedside lamps were adjustable for reading. A luggage rack, and hangers were available as well as a bench as soon as you entered the room, I used the bench for suitcase and easily hung my garment bag. The room was clean, efficient, well appointed with a desk and desk chair, a comfortable reading chair. The building was quiet, and well insulated. Well managed and a great place to stay. Thank You.

I loved the building being smaller, and it was designed nicely.

Cleaning people just need to be more careful. There was a nut on the floor under the bed. We had them clean the room while we were there, and it still was there after, so I thought the angle of the vacuum wasn't picking it up. I'm just worried for people who have nut allergies, and I'm glad my some didn't find it while he was crawling around. Could use more stations on the TV. Everything we wanted to put on was not authorized.

Everyone at the front desk was helpful competent, welcoming as were the kitchen and cleaning staff. The building is very well maintained - the front area has a feeling of space and light and is welcoming, my room was very clean and quiet and private. The location is central and very easy to get to.

Breakfast could use a few more healthy options for vegans - i.e. vegan, no sugar bran or blueberry muffins or vegan yogurt.
