This was our 2nd stay at the Aegli Hotel, a truly quality hotel, from the fixtures and fittings, comfort of the beds and bedding and the professional staff throughout the establishment. The location is perfect for access to the ferries quays, for a stroll along the promenade or to explore the lively town centre. And to cap it all, the breakfasts are plentiful with quality fresh produce too. We will be returning again in a couple of weeks and see no reason to try anywhere in Volos.

The only points I’d make was that although we booked a Superior Double room on both occasions, the rooms are fairly compact, and equally I’d recommend asking for a quiet room as on our first stay we were at the rear of the hotel and the traffic noise from outside was considerable. The staff, (professional as ever), noted my comment and upon arrival for the second time immediately commented that we had been allocated a quiet room on the side of the hotel and it was indeed much less noisy.

Aegli Hotel in Volos exceeded all my expectations! The room was absolutely perfect—immaculately clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the exceptional service. Miss Christina, the hotel manager, was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was flawless. Mr. George at the reception was equally amazing—professional, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their dedication to hospitality made my experience unforgettable. I highly recommend Aegli Hotel to anyone visiting Volos!

Great location at Volos Port, very central for shopping and eating. A lovely modern hotel with good attention to detail. We parked in the Port car park using the electronic pass supplied by reception, which is really helpful, you can come and go as often as needed for a fixed charge of €10/24hrs paid at the hotel but you must obtain the pass from reception before you park. We had a lovely room overlooking the Port, very quiet for a good nights sleep.

Perfect location for ferry, restaurants and shopping. Hotel is 2 minutes walk from the ferry terminal - which is perfect if catching an early morning ferry. The hotel is close to restaurants and is a couple minutes walk away from the major stores in Volos. Very clean. Stylish.

Breakfast area is quite small so it was quite crowded first thing in the morning with the guests that were departing for an early morning ferry. Elevator quite small so multiple pieces of luggage need many trips.

Immaculate. I returned because it’s always what I expect. The location is a 10 out of 10 and most importantly the staff is outstanding. The ladies that maintain the rooms and facilities are incredibly outgoing and accommodating. The folks who help you navigate the breakfast are super efficient and the staff at the front desk were once again outstanding. Saved me a ton of aggravation with some local travel info and they are just so damn pleasant. Additionally, if you are traveling to any of the islands in the Cyclades, I’m not sure you can be physically any closer to where you board the vessel .

The room was truly upmarket and the moon-shaped balcony was spacious with a great side-on view of the foreshore and harbour. The set-out of the room was very neatly arranged with regard to space availability - but the typical "greek-style" shower was large with good fittings and that suited us well. Breakfast was more than we expected. I would rate the breakfast as supurb. Moreover the cappucino's were outstanding, despite having to pay a little extra for them - well worth it though. The location couldn't have been better for us - right on the foreshore. Perfect to board our yacht which was moored almost directly in front of the hotel.

The room size was compact, but so neatly designed. They've done the best they could with regard to space saving. Not really a complaint about the size, rather just our comment.

- Very friendly and polite staff. - We were rushing to leave and the hotel asked us to prepare breakfast bags. - The decoration of the rooms and the general decoration feel almost presidential. I am loving this hotel. - Bed’s mattress is very soft, I loved it, I slept very well. I hope that next time we will get to stay for a longer time.

The tv is very small, tiring to watch from bed’s distance and it does not match up the rest of the room. The wire of the side-lamp on the left side of the bed was probably losing contact and the light was not always turning on, someone had to wave the lamp around until it’s on.

Super Hotel front line and facing port entrance providing much needed air conditioning. Easy access to ferries. Bathroom was spotlessly clean with toiletries provided. Lots of hot water and great shower. Complimentary mini bar in fridge in room containing soft drinks and water. Bed very comfortable. We had a room which overlooked the side street as it was for one night only however there was still a view of the sea and the port. Even had a small balcony. Flat screen TV. Our room lacked nothing and was modern,clean and comfortable. We will be staying here again as we come to Volos often. Breakfast was amazing and included hot and cold choices and plenty of drinks. Staff were very kind and welcoming. Loved the green eco ethos as is noticeable throughout Volos.

Nothing! Everything was perfect for us.

The guy on reception spoke perfect English, but allowed me to practice my Greek. Spoke very slowly and we even managed to arrange a breakfast bag because the ferry was too early in the morning for us to have time to get the buffet breakfast. Having stayed at many hotels in Volos, it was a definite breath of fresh air to have very modern facilities in the room. Yes, there are cheaper hotels in Volos, but it was worth paying the extra! It's located just across the road from the port entrance so we just rolled out of bed, picked up our breakfast bags and headed off. Highly recommended!

As always the Aegli was excellent. You are always greeted warmly (and they remember you from previous visits!), the service is first rate, the breakfast is very good and (for us) the port is one minute away. If you are catching a ferry then I would recommend this as the best place to stay.

Very minor but opening the breakfast a bit earlier (6.45) would help those who are booked on the ferry.
