Location is nice and central in Ilfracombe with a 2 minute walk to the harbour. The lift was nice and quick which is appreciated. The staff were lovely even though they had an issue finding my booking

Room could do with a bit of painting as there were marks on the wall, the bed squeaked with every little movement, which isn't great if you're a light sleeper. Towel rail in the bathroom didn't work, which isn't a necessity. The anti slip mat in the bath, in fact, wasn't anti slip (found this out the hard way). Windows could do with having thicker glass in them as it was rather noisy at night with vehicles, gulls and people walking around.

We were a little worried when we saw it from the outside. We need not have worried. You actually check in at the Royal Britania Hotel, which is about twenty yards away. Our room was not ready, so they gave us a larger room on the third floor. Yes, we thought that too, but there is a lift, so no drama there then with our luggage. The room was very spacious with everything you need and a king size bed that was very comfy. The room was also light and airy with three windows. The hotel is right in the middle of the harbour area, with car parks just a short walk away. I would recommend it for a couple like us, and in September, like we did. Im not sure you would find the parking as easy as it was for us, in the hight of the summer season. No frills it's all about the position.

The breakfast, which you have to go to the Britania for, was okay, we enjoyed ours but we were able to sit outside on the sun terrace overlooking the harbour.

The check in procedure is very good , accommodated me very well as the hotel has a lift as i no longer do stairs , Room is very modern and spacious with a modern walk in shower in the bathroom

Bit dusty on the laminated flooring , could do with a damp mop on a daily basis , Toilet paper holder is located far too close to the shower so unless you move it from the holder it gets soaking wet , Cheap Toilet system which is far too low with a £5 plastic toilet seat which is not good for the larger person for comfort !!!! it spoils the bathroom as you can see a great newly fitted bathroom and the Toilet seat lets it down badly , Windows badly need an outside clean and the battery's in the TV remote need to be changed on a regular basis as when I decided to watch tv it wouldn't work due to low batteries

A great budget hotel within easy reach and short walk from Ilfracombe harbour and beach. The triple room was well equipped for basic needs, together with a gernerous amount of tea, coffee, milk etc. The shower was good and there were 2 TV's - one in the main bedroom/living space and also one for the single bed.

The room was very hot! -Even with the windows open and air conditioning unit (supplied) it took a few hours to cool the room down and outside temperature was only 17 degrees. There was a hair on the childrens single bed and the bedding had a few minor stains. Other than that the room was quite clean and met expectations for the price paid.

Breakfast was in a different hotel, but good. my room was a good size and very clean with a good shower. quiet area and comfortable. also only a couple of minutes away from overnight parking. close to harbour and on the flat which meant easiey walking, as I'm not good at hills these days. the route contained a very good ice cream parlour and choice of good restaurants. I was pleased there was a lift to get me to my 2nd floor room.

There was trouble with checking in. The hotel had been taken over (i WAS TOLD ILLEGALLY) BY AN INDIAN COMPANY oyo, so my prebooking was not accepted by Booking.com. Howwever I don't think they have taken my money by credit card. so I had to pay (again) on arrival. Not a good start to my break.

A very well located hotel, close to the harbour. Also appreciated the help I had from the receptionist when I checked in. Found the hotel convenient and the room was fine. Would stay here again if coming to Ilfracombe. Eating choices, good ones, included the Dolphin restaurant, the George and Dragon pub, the Hop nearby and the Indian restaurant in the High Street. Enjoyed visits to Croyde and Woolacombe. Great walk on the Tarka Trail from Instow to Bideford. Only prob being cancellation of trip to Lundy, winds an issue.

Happy with my whole stay

Great location, right by the harbour and multiple car parks around (not the cheap ones though). Lowest price in Ilfracombe (when I booked), breakfast not included but reasonably priced. A bit travelodge feeling but you have everything you need. Simple room, simple interior but bed was comfortable. Considering location value for money is excellent! I've been before and will happily return. I gave exceptional rating, not because it is the Ritz, but because in its own category it ticks all the boxes. Set your expectations accordingly.

The room was big and comfortable and very clean the towels were good quality as well and the staff we met were very friendly and helpful.Its an ideal location for the harbourside bar and restaurants and the wonderful views near by oh and I must mention the big comfortable bed .We will return

There wasn't a lot to dislike one thing the window in the bedroom was hard to pull done but a bit of oil will sort that out and one of the bed side lights didn't work .

Amazing location, very friendly and professional gentleman who gave us the keys and explained everything about our room. We didn't have any issues with parking our car instantly, in the public car park opposite the hotel. Hot shower with good pressure, big TV for the evenings and quick check out procedure.

The room needed just a bit more clean up (the floor in the bathroom was really dirty and we found black hair in bed linen and on pillows). It was just a minor inconvenience, so not really a big problem.

The room was lovely breakfast wS amazing and Daz who greeted us in the morning for breakfast was exceptional cheery, accommodating we got down to breakfast a few minutes early. The full english breakfast was cooked to perfection. When my mum and aunt said no beans, Daz offered an extra hash brown. Kept checking was everything OK.the lady on checking in was really helpful and friendly. Apologies I didn't get her name

The only small downside was parking and t A musty smell on entering the hotel. Everything was there that we could ask for
