Fantastic room in a wonderful location. The staff were wonderful - extremely attentive and very helpful.
There was no lift and, on the second floor, an enormous number of stairs. Being an old property, the ceilings are very high - so 20 stairs per level! The food was average, except on Sunday when the roast lamb dinner was dreadful. The lamb was thin cut, overdone and stringy; the vegetables were underdone - almost impossible to cut. Breakfast was mostly buffet, with the usual result of lukewarm food. However you could order fresh cooked poached or scrambled eggs.

Lovely comfy furniture with plush colourful decor. We stayed in the monkey island room which had the best view over looking the harbour. We were provided a fan for the room which was really worth it as the windows can only be opened a little. We also had dinner there, a bit of a wait as they were short staffed, but a lovely environment, so just relaxed. Well worth the wait as the steak was amazing, perfectly cooked veg too. The staff were friendly and worked hard to make it a good experience. 5*breakfast to!
Due to space in the bathroom, it’s a small shower, which was a shame, but there is a copper bath in the room if you prefer! It would have been nice to have a mirror above or next to the dressing table for doing make up.

We stayed at The Bath Hotel for a weekend recently. The hotel was clean, quirky and full of character - I loved the interior decor, the whimsical room themes and the little touches that were present to uphold this. Our room was spotless, comfortable and well equipped. The Hotel is in a prime location right on the sea front in the heart of Lynmouth. We also made use of the Ancient Mariner pub that is adjacent to the hotel and owned by them also. Great atmosphere, good food and a choice of local ales and spirits which is a nice touch. We were particularly impressed with the hotels attitude to providing fresh milk and water for the rooms and providing easy access to further toiletries, sundries and such if required. Breakfast is served in a beautiful dining area with a choice of hot, cold, continental and fresh items. You can also order bespoke dishes from the menu provided which as two vegetarians and once celiac were greatly appreciated. Food was fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. I'd definitely recommend the poached eggs over and again. We had a really enjoyble stay - Thank you!

Well established hotel, knows its business. Room [Dalgarno) was okay, good space and sea view good but not as quirky or bright as some rooms on line, because of this felt slightly underwhelmed. Good comfortable bed. A few housekeeping issues. 1 in particular reported and responded to immediately and given a complimentary bottle of wine! Lovely lounge with a roaring fire , restaurants ascetically pleasing but sadly a poor ,tough steak spoilt the meal, fish n chips good. Excellent breakfast. Would I use again possibly if I saw an offer but probably not at full price.

Our room was very quirky with a Copper Bath in one corner (there was a separate bathroom) and a good view over the harbour. Lovely room. Nice touches like being able to get fresh water and Milk. Excellent Tea and Coffee making facilities.
Whilst not a problem for us. This Hotel would not be suitable for anyone who has difficulty with movement. There are many steps. Not sure they are that expert at making Cocktails! In busy periods might be difficult to park as there are no parking facilities for the hotel. However, in winter we were able to park on the road opposite for free.

Hotel was very centrally located. Decor was beautiful and very in keeping with the old building. Our room was small but comfy with all required amenities. Dinner in the restaurant was good. Food was very impressive but service was slow. Breakfast was very good with a great variety of hot and cold food available. Service again was slow. Overall we enjoyed our two night stay. We were able to park along the esplanade as there is no dedicated car park unless you book a suite.
Service was slow in the restaurant.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Bath Hotel. Some of the rooms are a little small, but I had a very comfortable room although sadly no sea view. Very clean and comfortable, nicely decorated. The staff are incredibly hard-working (special mention for Bek the telepathic waiter - he knows what you're going to order before you ask for it!). The hotel does run a little understaffed so there were a few glitches (two members of our party had to wait for their Sunday roast) but I felt that the hard work and good humour of the staff compensated for this. We had a really nice meal in the restaurant and Sunday roast in the pub (which does now take cards despite what it says on the website). There is a really sweet little cocktail bar open Fridays and Saturdays. Breakfast choices are good too.
Just to be aware there are quite a lot of stairs to some of the rooms so not suitable for people with mobility issues

The location is right down on the harbour . The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The decor in the reception rooms is colourful and quirky and very relaxing. We enjoyed spending a rainy afternoon reading by a log fire in the lounge. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. Both vegan and we couldn’t believe we were offered vegan croissant and a full cooked breakfast. The dining area is delightful and we felt very relaxed.
Our only complaint would be one that might not bother everyone but the double bed in our room was quite small. We had a room without a sea view and perhaps the larger rooms had larger beds.

Liked that we were able to bring our dog. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Mattress and room were very comfortable with original/quirky furniture, proper coffee and home made biscuits each morning. We were initially put in a twin room (booked a double) but this was exchanged promptly to a much nicer sea facing room. Breakfast was nice with help yourself hot and cold buffet or you could order some dishes from the kitchen.
Initially we were told we couldn’t eat from the hotel restaurant menu as we needed to be seated in the Galley area as this was suitable for dogs. We therefore ate from the pub menu. I understand the need for a separate area to eat but not a separate menu (Restaurant and pub menus are quite similar though). However on the second night we were told we could eat from the restaurant menu so it was a bit confusing and it may help others if this was sorted.

Have stayed before and it is ideal for walking
The room I had booked didn’t look like it at all It was number 23 and , the room itself was ok but the bathroom was dated and there was some kind of electrical wire showing on the heated towel rail ,and the Shower was old with a shower curtain , rather than a screen , also tiles need to be cleaned properly , we stayed for two nights and expected the room to be cleaned, when we came back the second day damp towels were still in the bath , Bins /cups not cleaned I think They were short staffed in some areas
