It was cozy! Minimalist, but just enough space to be workable. The staff was very helpful. There were no bathtubs or anything, but the showers were quite nice. The main building is right on a covered shopping street, so it's a fairly fun area. Not too far away from the Nagoya station; maybe a 15- or 20-minute walk?

The dryer worked very poorly. We resorted to a nearby laundromat when it still hadn't dried a small load of clothes after three 30-minute dry cycles. The location isn't directly close to any train stations or convenience stores, though it's within doable walking dis

I was pleasantly surprised by Nagonoya. I'd booked a capsule there as a "backup" just in case I couldn't find anything else over the F1 weekend. I ended up staying there - it was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The futon bed was very comfortable however a second pillow would have been preferable. The location is great too, on quiet shopping street close to the subway station, and a 15 walk to Nagoya station. It's a walkable distance to Nagoya Castle as well. The showers are like pressure washers.

The room with the capsules itself was quite warm. As I was staying in spring I could crack open a window and let a cool breeze in. This would not be possible during the summer, so I suggest perhaps not staying in a capsule at the height of the heat

The Guest House is located right at the Endo-ji Shotengai. Although it is not a busy shopping street, you will find convenience stores, restaurants, local supermarket, café, dollar store, Shinto shrine, and more in the area. If you are traveling from Nagoya Station with luggage, instead of walking for 20 minutes or taking the subway (where you would need to carry your luggage up and down stairs), you can take the bus (Bus name: 名駅12). Be sure to check the timetable in advance, as the wait can be long. Nagonoya is a warm and small Guest House. I stayed in a 6-Bed Female Dormitory Room, which was right above the café. Be prepared to carry your suitcase up a flight of stairs (about 15 steps) if you book this room. Check-in time is until 6pm. If you are arriving later, you will need to self-check in. Although the room itself has limited space, the bed was quite comfortable and offered sufficient room. There is also a small rack at the end of the bed where you can hang-dry small towels. A washing machine and dryer are available in the shower room for laundry. The entire guest house area has one washroom, two shower rooms, a small common area, and a compact but well equipped kitchen. If needed, there is another washroom on the Café level downstairs. The staffs at the café/ guest house are friendly and helpful. They can also assist with storing your luggage for a few days, with a reasonable fee, before your check-in date.

The common space in the guest house area could feel quite limited. Corridor in the room is pretty narrow and can only accommodate one or two people (maximum) opening their suitcases at the same time if the room is fully occupied (the room was not fully occupied during my stay so it was fine)

The location is very convenient. The check-in process was really easy even out of hours. The individual cabins were spacious and cosy, and the common room felt very welcoming. Bonus points for the ability to use the cafe space downstairs when the cafe is closed. The guesthouse has only three rooms, making it feel a lot more personal. The shower was perfect, just what a tired traveller needs.

I wish I could have tried the egg sandwich served by the cafe, but the opening times didn't align with my travel plans. Also, bear in mind there's only one bathroom which is not gender separated.

Great location, very helpful people, I had a bunk bed which was like a capsule, they have a washing machine and dryer to use for a small fee, I was able to drop my bag off, check in was easy, the bed and everything was super clean. They run a cafe as well and I was sad that I didn't leave enough time to eat here. The location is fantastic, just 15 minutes from Nagoya castle I highly recommend visiting. Loads of shops and restaurant around. Looked like a great place to hang out.

As stated by the hostel itself and other guests: it's an old building and you can hear everything. I was wearing earplugs and barely slept. It was only one night, so I was willing to take the risk. But wouldn't recommend for light sleepers.

The facilities and cleanliness of the hostel are impressive—everything is well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged for guest comfort. While the location is slightly removed from Nagoya Station—just one stop away—it remains conveniently accessible and doesn’t detract from the overall experience.

The air conditioning was not functioning properly during our stay. On several nights, the room became uncomfortably warm as the unit failed to provide adequate cooling.

Overall, I really like this place. I stayed in the main building below is a cafe. Spicy ginger ale soda is very delicious. Normally, there are not many choices in other places. You have to guess whether it's sweet or spicy. The bunk bed room is good. Private if compared to other places But the living room doesn't have much natural light. But I've been traveling all day, so it's considered very good overall if compared to the price and location.

The futon was very comfortable and the space was overall very quiet. All the shared facilities were clean and well-maintained. The location is fantastic, as the local endoji has several charming restaurants, cafes, and other local businesses. I highly recommend seeing a kabuki play at the theater next door, as it is fun, modern, good value for money, welcoming to tourists, and you don't need to speak Japanese to understand it. There's also a FamilyMart down the street for convenience and you're near two different metro lines to get anywhere you want to go.

We stayed in the Japanese room as a group, so we had room to unpack and hang out as a group in private. We came early and left our luggage downstairs at the cafe. The futon beds were comfortable, and there was a go board to play on! It was just a short 10 minute walk to the closest station, which is connected to Nagoya station, so you don't need to walk outside too much if it's raining. The staff was all very nice and it was fun talking to people from all over.

The staff was disorganized and had not realized we would be checking in, so we had no sheets for the beds until we asked where they were. They were also loud past the start of the quiet time, chatting together in the common area until midnight sometimes. Also, be careful not to flood the shower.

The room was beautifully minimalistic! Just enough space to crawl around and store belongings while a sleep. Shared facilities were clean and offered enough space. Kitchen was a nice advantage. Location in the center close to many good restaurants and climbing gym.

There are no doors on the capsule so one may feel uneasy during sleeping. It got quite noisy couple of times during the night as there is no insulation of the capsules. The same goes for light as there is a just a curtain to close the capsule. Coffee at the main building is super expensive, and not very tasty.
