What a wonderful experience, starting from the owners and employees attentiveness, to the cleanliness of the property, until the perfection of the bungalows. The owners and the employees were always ready to provide a nice smile and support, when needed. Breakfast was everyday different, with always western and Thai varieties. There was also an active request from the owner, to see if there were dietary restrictions and if anything should be adjusted. There’s no lunch or dinner available at the property. The overall property has a very relaxing atmosphere, with a very leafy garden and clean pool. The bungalow has a very spacious and luxurious feel, with a big bathroom that holds a bath and shower. The location is very quiet and nice, however if you don’t have your own car, it might be more tricky to get around. The neighbourhood has a very restaurant, “Sweet rice café”, which serves the best authentic Thai food in Sukhothai and delicious homemade ice-Cream and (on the spot made) desserts. It takes up to 3’ walk from the property. If you have a craving for a nice coffee with a light lunch, you can go to “Take a break”, which is also only a small walk away.

Absolutely nothing to dislike

Such a great stay for relaxing days in Sukhothai! We stayed 5 days and loved it. The pool is so nice and the pool beds and seating area are great. The breakfast is nice and the staff is there to provide you with all you like. The resort has many bikes you are welcome to take, to bike to the temples and restaurants.

The bungalows are beautiful, spacious and clean, but they do lack some minor practicalities, such as night lights and electricity plugs near the bed to charge your phone, or some cabins to put clothes on.

Breakfast was excellent both Thai and Western. Staff inquired what our preferences were and prepared a main dish accordingly. Good variety of local fruits and sweet treats. Breakfast is served in the main lodge building which is open. Lovely to hear and see local birds including black storks. Pictures is of our 2 storey villa/cottage building. The endless pool is great as well. Open air sitting area with hammock on the ground floor. Sleeping room and bathroom with separate shower and soaking tub above. Loved the floor to ceiling windows in every room. Staff is amazing. Booked two of the cycling tours with Cycling Sukhothai through the resort. Well worth it as well.

Can't think of anything - wished we could have stayed longer. Lyn and her staff are super hosts and made us feel at home.

Baan Suk Resort was an absolute gem. The location strikes a perfect balance—peaceful and quiet, yet just a short drive to the historical park. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. The lush garden added to the relaxing atmosphere, and the saltwater pool was the perfect retreat after exploring in the heat. Our room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was superb, with both Thai and Western options—something for everyone. We’ll definitely be coming back!

BaanSuk is truly a hidden gem, run by a family with exceptional attention to detail. We loved the concept of independent rooms and cottages, each featuring its own small terrace and private outdoor space with a table, chairs, and hammock—perfect for relaxation. The pool, gardens, and communal areas were all impeccably maintained. It is located closed to the old town (around 1,5km) and free bikes are available for you to use in order to reach it within 5 minutes. The owner was incredibly helpful, offering great local recommendations. Sukhothai itself is a charming town that’s definitely worth a visit. We will absolutely return to BaanSuk whenever we next plan to explore this lovely community.

Small property with everything you need. Cozy atmosphere, a beautiful garden, and a good breakfast make it a very pleasant stay.

- The road leading to the property is quite dark at night, which makes arrival less comfortable. Improved lighting would help. - The hotel does not offer dinner, so guests must go out in the evening. Providing at least a light dining option would be appreciated. - Water temperature in the bathtub was not sufficiently hot, which reduced comfort.

Very peaceful setting - close to rice fields and local communities. Short tuk-tuk ride (reception phoned and they arrived very quickly) to historical park and restaurants. Bikes available to borrow - we cycled about 10km along very quiet backroads through villages and rural area. Lovely pool and gardens. Beds very comfortable. Fantastic staff - could not do enough to make us welcome.

It would have been nice if the hotel had a small bar where we could purchase drinks when relaxing in the afternoons/early evenings.

The hotel staff were wonderful, helpful and always very friendly and attentive. We were greeted by the door as soon as we stepped out of the tuktuk :) and got checked in right away. We were escorted to our cabin by Lyn, the hotel manager, and made us feel very welcomed. Supporting staff were equally helpful. They were always striving to make us feel comfortable, ie turning on fans when it was getting hot, serving cold drinks while we were sitting around the lounging area after a long and hot day exploring the ruins. We forgot to bring insect repellent, and Lyn immediately provided us with a bottle. The hotel grounds was beautiful. Cabins were nicely separated and had all the creature comforts one might long for. The breakfast provided was awesome. We stayed at the resort for 3 days, and everyday, there was something different for breakfast. And on the day we were to leave for ChiangMai, Lyn and her husband very kindly dropped us off the bus station.

The old rickety bikes. There were quite a few bikes for guests, but all of them were in different stages of disrepair. I felt uncomfortable riding in any one of them, and took a tuktuk to the old town, and rented a bike there. Another hotel in the vicinity provided their guests with much better newer bikes. It was a pity since there was a back road behind the resort where we could have enjoyed a leisurely bike ride, enjoying the nice views of rice paddies and a smaller ruin very close by.

The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful! They went to town and bought my Chiang Mai bus ticket on my behalf, drove me to the bus station on my departure day, and helped me get settled at the bus station. I was there to see the ruins of Sukhothai, and the hotel lent me an older bike for free, which was perfect for me. There’s a quiet road / bike trail right behind the resort which is a perfect way to get to the ruins. I didn’t use the small pool at all, but saw a couple people use it. The villas are lovely bedrooms with giant bathtubs, but the rainfall shower was all I used. I can’t emphasize how kind and helpful the hotel staff were!

BaanSuk resoet has a beautiful location, 10 minutes away from the historical park of Sukhothai you can reach with the resort's free bikes. The pool is wonderful with clean and warm water so you can enjoy it also in the evening. The rooms are all disposed around the pool so you can enjoy a super view on the garden which gives you a sense of relax. The staff was very kind, they knew that we had to leave early so they prepared us the breakfast one hour before their schedule. The room is big with a large bathroom and a huge shower, everything super clean. Excellent staff and resort overall, our best stay in Thailand.
