We stayed in the Superior Double Room with both breakfast and dinner included. We enjoy both meals and would recommend trying it out. We also tried the wellness room (€10 per person per hour) featuring a steam room and a sauna room. The room was very spacious (biggest we have stayed in our trip around Basque county) and the design was modern and thoughtful. The staff were all very friendly and spoke good English. The lounge was also peaceful and a good place to spend some time. There are broadgames if you come in a group.

Nothing much - except the (public) patio is right next to the room and if you open the windows you can hear people who speak outside.

Room was spotless, wonderful balcony with a beautiful view. The towels and bedding were the best!!!!!! Reception area was very nice, too bad the little shop wasn't open early enough for pilgrims to get a snack for the road, but was OK.The Pork Cheeks were very good, never had them before. Wine was very good. Dessert was very good.

Decided to try the €35 dinner menu. The olive appetizer was weird(not a raw seafood fan), Not sure what the olives were stuffed with in the salad, not good, don't mess with a good olive. Not sure I would eat there again.

What an absolute gift to stay at this property. My only regret is that I didn’t stay more days. It is one of the most peaceful and serene places. I stayed here one night while walking the Camino Frances. Everything from the rooms to the gardens to the wellness center to the meals to the wonderful staff creates an environment that is welcoming and extremely relaxing. Make sure you book a spot in the wellness center. Also if you are doing the Camino they have great laundry facilities. The food is excellent and healthy options -both dinner and breakfast. What really sets this apart is the staff - both Eva in the morning and Christian at night (hopefully have those names right) are such a credit to Quinta. Their welcoming smile, kindness, helpfulness all made the difference - it evoked a sense of peace from the moment i walked through the door to the moment I left. I would stay there again whether I was walking the Camino or just vacationing -highly recommend.

Everything! Starting with the beautiful surroundings . Clean rooms and extra bits. Water on arrival and the foot bath was an excellent treat after a long day walking on the Camino. We didn’t eat in the restaurant due to meeting friends but had the breakfast which was simple but delicious. All staff welcoming - we will hopefully be back. It is a perfect stop on a Camino to re- charge your batteries. I wish we had booked for two nights !

The staff was amazing, so curious and kind and welcoming. Everything a pilgrim could want was there… laundry facilities (thank you sweet Jesus!), Nespresso coffee machine in reception, a lovely, Cold foot bath in the garden… and incredible garden, too! Oh yes… The spa. BLISS. And the restaurant… The food was incredible including the best homegrown tomato. Ever. They gave it to me. 🙏😍

A most stunning retreat in a rural village along the Camino de Santiago. The gardens are magical and there is a sense of peace and tranquillity at every turn. The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean. Our dining experiences were perfect for both dinner and breakfast. We felt very looked after and relaxed.

Nothing, everything was perfect. I wish we could have stayed longer. A swimming pool would enhance the stay even more but I suspect that is what is being built near by??

Second time to stay in Quinta San Francisco. An oasis of tranquillity and calm. Friendly and obliging staff. Good dinner and breakfast, both of which had gluten-free options. The service was very good. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Free laundry. Secure bicycle storage. A stroll from the village.

Very good; we also had dinner, which was a limited menu but excellent! Lovely rooms; very well landscaped and very helpful staff.

Surprised at no air-conditioning in rooms. Whist they did have a good ceiling fan, it was very hot outside; around 35C high; and still rather warm to sleep well. Told us owner did not believe in A/C because of sustainability, but then had it in their restaurant!

Serenity. Nespresso coffee and tea available all day and free of charge. Large and fluffy bathroom towels, good shower (amazing water pressure) and comfy beds and pillows for a good night sleep.

It looks (almost) new. The only thing I would recommend is to give the shower area in the room a deep cleaning (room 104).

Everything was amazing. Hotel Qinta San Francisco is for me a new star on the Camino Santiago. A beautiful architectural work ideally integrated into the space of such an impressive Castrojeriz with a beautiful combination of modern and old architecture. The rooms are comfortable, nicely decorated with bright colors, cozy and modernly furnished. Very nice SPA with Turkish bath and Finnish sauna, heated stone beds and can be rented completely privately. Eva and her yung friendly colleague at the reception are so kind, attentive and ready to do everything to make you happy and satisfied. The Restaurant for the dinner and evan with the top cook chef, Ms. Josefa and the young Eva, are at the highest level of gastronomy and service.. This is one of the best concepted and organized hotel on the entire Camino Frances. Congratulations and thank you. Thank you Eva, Josefa, Eva and thank you young colleague at the reception. Strong recommendation to all who wish a bit of luxary and exclusive moments during their walk to Santiago.
