Quiet countryside only 9 minute walk to small town of Trabajos. It is right on the Camino, so an excellent choice if you are trekking. No aircon, but a large fan and large screened-in window provided lovely cool breeze. Only a 15 minute drive to the beautiful city of Burgos. The staff were so kind and helpful; they obviously take pride in this simple, comfortable, family-run inn. I would definitely recommend staying there.
We liked everything, although it would be a nice addition to have a tiny fridge in the room to keep water and fruit.

I had read somewhere this was the best albergue on the CF and I was skeptical. However, having walked several different Caminos, I find it hard to think of a better place to stay. La Frabrica is 12 km or about two hours walk from Burgos. It is a perfect location if you want to spend the morning as a tourist in Burgos and walk some distance on the Camino in the afternoon. Cristina, who seems to run the establishment, speaks good English and is very helpful. The place is spotless and comfortable. We were there on a Saturday so we're unable to have the special daily menu but for 33 euros we had salad (huge), cheese plate (generous), two desserts (also huge), two beers and an expresso. The building is a renovated former mill. You can see the stream which provided power through a glass floor in the bar. There are also some old and faded photos showing what it was like prior to renovation.

I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful this place is. The food, the room, the windows(with screens!), the bed, the shower!! The staff.....I call it my paradise room. Because of flights and noisy room the night before, I was exhausted, I got lucky and found this gem! Ate early and just chilled out alone and took it all in. The pictures of the food are not the best, but SO good. 3 course meal with wine €15 euro! AND multiple choices!! The staff was SO attentive and SO friendly, even with us non Spanish speaking americans.
Rooms are fairly thin, but that is to be expected in this country. Nothing else!!!

This is a wonderful place it's a converted flour mill which has a number of ensuite bedrooms with a fantastic bar and restaurant. The bar area once we were there was very busy but the service was exemplary and the food offerings were plentiful. It's an ideal place so stop over if you're on the way to or from one of the northern ferry ports. We've been to Burgos a couple of times before and that's a great place to visit this one is off the beaten tracks so if you don't need to go into Burgos save a few quid and come here you won't be disappointed. Young downside is because the buildings hold even though it's been converted the noise insulation isn't the best having said that the bedrooms are beautifully equipped and comfortable. Quantity and quality we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again for a single night stay on the stopover but it's not a place we would stay for a longer period of time. Finally we think the owners need to increase the price of their accommodation because it is remarkably cheap.

A lovely old building with some nice features. Good food and popular with the locals. It's always the staff that make the difference and reception, bar and waiters were exceptional. On a cold day the dinning room was cosy but our room was cold and this was resolved quickly.
The menu was good so it would be unfair to say I wish on a weekend they had had a set / pilgrims menu. We would loved to have had breakfast but for Camino walkers it was a little too late. However would happily stay again.

Busy popular dining on site, the food was great, Definitely a place to sit and enjoy food and drink, many locals in for Sunday lunch. The room was well furnished, and supplied towels, linen, and hairdryer. The river flowing below is visible, as there is a glass floor. All very nice, thank you
There was no heating on in the bedroom, I think if I had asked it would have been sorted. And I was quickly warm in bed.

Best bathroom on the Camino so far ; spacious , it had a bathtub and the shower had several settings. I particularly liked the waterfall setting. Dinner was excellent- artichokes, grilled beef, tiramisu and bread and wine. Very good value for 15 euros .
0.7 km from the village, too far for a stroll or to buy snacks if you have done a long day .

The room had character and all that I needed. I was able to order a nice vegetarian meal which was a treat. I think that their focus was leaning toward locals for the bar and restaurant. I felt like I was the only person there from the Camino.
People were nice, as always, but I did sense that pilgrims, or more likely the extra duties that come with them, were a bit of a nuisance.

Set among the wheat fields, our stay in La Fabrica, the renovated flour mill, was very comfortable and relaxing. The host was most welcoming and attentive. The outdoor area was perfect for catching some sun. The bedroom was spacious and airy as was the bathroom. The restaurant food was of high quality. Breakfast was an option.
