This is a lovely peaceful oasis in Robertson. The owners Luc and Hilde were fabulous hosts, and were there to answer any questions or to give ideas about which wineries or restaurants to visit. They arranged a local driver to take us to and back from a wine and music festival. The roads around the B&B were quiet and safe. The room was good and my wife particularly liked her soak in the bath. The breakfast was excellent and the cold buffet part was enough for us. There were additional cooked hot items if you wished. The back garden was lovely to relax in and the small dog Paris would come and interact.

Robertson itself as a town, we had made a couple of days detour from the Garden route to visit Robertson for the first time. I doubt we will go back to Robertson.

Nice guest house, well organised, clean and tidy. Lovely garden with a small pool area. The standard of food was very high, much better than most other places that we have stayed at in SA. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Good safe parking and security.

We were not impressed with the town of Robertson, compared to other tourist towns in SA. This is no reflection on the guest house which is probably the best guest house in the Town. We were upgraded by the owner to a large pool side suite but the wall is thin are we could hear our fellow guests next door, which is never good for either party.

We were given a very warm welcome by Luc who made us instantly valued! Bed was so comfortable- I’m determined to find that duvet in the UK! Pool area fantastic and enjoyed my doggy cuddles with Paris! Lastly - we were fortunate enough to stay on a night Hilde cooked a 3 course meal and can safely say that it was delicious and should not be missed, we also had a great wine suggestion by Luc! Thank you!

That we only stayed one night!

Always a lovely welcome, the hosts are wonderful. It’s such an oasis of calm with the beautiful rooms and grounds with swimming pool . The breakfast was delicious. We always stay here for the great food but chose a night when the kitchen was closed.

We will double check what nights dinner is served next time.

The standard of service and the quality of the food were excellent. Comfortable room with all facilities required. Nice pool area to cool off after a hot day.

The set dinner was outstanding. However, as it’s a guesthouse you have to find an alternative venue for dinner on certain nights. There are restaurants in town but we would not feel safe walking to them. You just have to avoid drinking alcohol so that you can drive there. The owners are happy to provide plates and cutlery if you can provide your own food.

Luc and Hilde gave us such a warm welcome. We had a light and airy bedroom and super comfortable bed. The lush enclosed garden is quiet for a swim, a sit or for dining. Good choice of fresh breakfast items and we were lucky to be there on an evening when Hilde provided a delicious 3 course dinner. Highly recommend.

It was superbly furnished, immaculate and a very welcoming host Luc. It was outstanding from start to finish. The room was large and well equipped, all tastefully decorated and the garden is a hidden gem.

Found it a bit disconcerting that whilst at breakfast someone went into my room and opened all the windows. We were checking out 10 minutes later so the intrusion was not necessary.

The owners Luc & Hilde are a good team and were very welcoming and helpful. They run their guest house in an extremely professional and efficient manner showing meticulous attention to detail. They had also implemented effective measures for coping with the regular power outages. They deserve their reputation as a truly up market establishment. Hilde is an excellent chef and serves delicious evening meals and breakfasts. Strongly recommended.

No complaints at all but would have preferred a ground floor room because stairs to upper floor were rather steep & narrow. However, Luc very kindly assisted with carrying our heavy luggage up to our room.

Breakfast was very tasty, well prepared. My wife has food issues which were well catered for. Luc and Hilde were warm and gracious hosts. This is the second time we stayed there. our only regret is that we only stayed two nights. Their garden is superb and caloming.
