I like the atmosphere. The staff were professional and friendly. The American guests were also very friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. One could relax by the pool. It was slightly out of town in the university campus, in quiet location. The town centre or shops were about a 10 minute drive. Breakfast was good but a little confusing.

Driving through the campus was a bit of a trek. The restaurant closed after lunch and it wasn’t possible to get a hot cup of coffee before 4 o’clock.

Location close to the lake was very , I like green scenery around the hotel. The size of the room and bed quality were good.

Some bad smell from the sink in the bathroom. There was no chair and a desk in the room for working on the computer. Relatively dark room, only one small widow in the room.

We ate at the restaurant the night we arrived and were very pleased with the food and service. The bartender was our server and she was amazing to watch! The hotel inside and out was beautiful.

The shower could have been a little better and the water pressure was very low. It was also very difficult to get the water temperature to stay constant so you spend a lot of time adjusting during your shower or even washing your hands.

This was a gift to my mom. She loved it! She said that the hotel and room were gorgeous! Their room overlooked the lake.

Although breakfast was supposed to end at noon, they were told that it ended at 10;30, when they arrived at 10:28 am. They were served food. However, the coffee was cold, and the service seemed rushed.

This is a nice Marriott in a good location for me! It is on the campus of NC State University so it is impacted by what is going on on campus. For example, the NC State football team was there the night of our stay because they had a game the next day. The people working there were super-nice and super-helpful. THANKS!

I booked a room for 4 adults that included breakfast, and the hotel staff did not delivered it. They argued that the breakfast was for 2 adults and 2 children. So, I had to pay extra for the breakfast.

Beautiful property

The dining area needs to be warmed up in the evening . The food and service was very good but the ambiance needs to be improved. Simple things like lowering the lights, candles on the tables or even a sprig of leaves or flowers would help a great deal

Upon arrival the reception person was quite pleasant. The room was a decent size, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was delicious - had crispy edges.

Only a nit pick item, the hotel didn’t have breakfast registered as paid for through Booking.com, but showing them the receipt and confirmation info, they provided the voucher and off we went to breakfast.

We enjoyed a "staycation" night at the StaveView hotel. We enjoyed being in a quiet part of Raleigh, relaxing at the pool, and having breakfast and dinner without having to leave the property. There are plenty of places to relax and read a book. The staff were nice.

the hotel is confortable, nicely decorated, rooms are spacious and bathroom with modern showers which is a plus for us because we don’t like all style bath tub. Location is in a beautiful green campus area and closed to city centre.

staff not particularly helpful, at the restaurant during the breakfast very rude an unprofessional. the restaurant is clearly understaffed but that’s not the client’s fault!
