My stay at Homewood Suites Downtown Raleigh was truly exceptional from check-in to check-out. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The location is perfect, with so much to see and do within walking distance. The hotel had a fresh, pleasant scent throughout, and the atmosphere felt warm and homey—truly a home away from home. , and the shower was excellent. This was my second stay here, and I loved every moment. I honestly have nothing negative to say. For anyone wanting to stay somewhere clean, with a friendly team, rooftop access, and all the action just steps away, I highly recommend.

My only complaint is “parking”, more so the cost, but there are several options within walking distance, cheaper than the cost of their hotel valet to park. I opted out of the $30 a day valet park and used the public parking garage adjacent to the hotel.

Location was close to the convention center where we were for 3 days, so that was great. Restaurants all around us. We really liked the hotel. Liked the layout of the suite with the kitchen. The lobby was great as well. Had a great gym, but we didn't use it. Really cool elevators. Room was quiet as far as the goings-on in the hotel. However, it is across the street from the police station, so sirens went off a bit. But for the most part they weren't an issue. The A/C was a little odd. Never could figure out how to really regulate it, and it was quite noisy. It's a wall unit by the window, but when you push any button, it says to use the controls on the wall. Even when we turned it completely off, there was always a fan going on in the unit. Never could figure out why. Not really an issue though. Lots of options for breakfast.

The breakfast was so-so. Quite a few options, which was great. Eggs and potatoes not very warm and definitely needed salt. We stayed 5 nights, but housekeeping only came once, even though it said they would come every other day. They didn't replace everything, so we had to call to get more towels and toilet paper.

The hotel was very nice and modern. Facilities were very clean. Walking distance from Red Hat Amphitheater which was a huge plus since we didn’t have to Uber back.

The lobby smelled like very strong perfume- like stronger than a Hollister store in 2010. I booked on booking and pre paid, then the guy that checked us in said I didn’t pay taxes on the room. Charged my card for incidentals and the entire stay again, and taxes of course. When we checked out a super nice lady credited my card so that should be good in a few days.

Everything was really clean and organized. The color scheme was immaculate. The light was really good and there are plant of mirrors to take pictures in all over the property. The over all stay was amazing.

Only problem we had was that there was a root top floor. We weren’t told about it and were really shocked to find a bar, restaurant and roof top lounge area on accident. Also we were told on the site that our breakfast was included but we ended up having to pay.

The location, overall design and room was great.

Shower water took a while to get warm. For a few of the days during our stay. Also the door to the room we stayed in didn't close and latch all the way on its own. I had to pull or push it to fully latch. Parking is pretty pricey also.

Very nice facility, valet Parking was an added touch. The staff was fantastic.

The websight said they had a bar and a rooftop bar. That's why we picked Homewood. But they didn't have their Liquor license yet and it was not disclosed beforehand. Our room had a kitchenette, but no table to sit down to eat.

Nice restaurants that met a variety of dietary restrictions, room was comfortable, and easy to access HDMI for our own media

Too many lights in the room! Flashing smoke detector blinking at you all night, red light on the stove with no way to turn it off. Also, no safe and no extra blanket.

Staff ignored the do not disturb signs and entered the room while we were getting dressed. Checkin was frustrating. Although we eventually got what we asked for it was disappointing that we needed to explain multiple times

Awesome gym. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable. Huge shower.

Once we got used to the quirky elevator it was fine.

Dog friendly and located in the city center. It has great breakfast and gym. Very near the park to bring the dog out.

Pet fee $75 is quite high, the valet was nice but needs to pay $30, a free parking would be nicer
