Everything with the hotel itself and the staff was perfect.

However, I was very disappointed in the exorbitant pet fee charged. Several hotels where I stay charge no fee at all (Aloft, Embassy Suites) so when I saw the notification that person were welcome and "there may be a fee " I mistakenly assumed it would be reasonable. $150 extra is not reasonable at all, and while the stay was otherwise perfect, I would never stay in a Marriott again with my pet or on my own if other reasonable options are available. Just say pets aren't allowed if the charge is so much as to actually be punitive.

The great experience began with the from t desk staff, continued with the breakfast staff and was rounded off by the rooftop staff. We used the gym and the wifi, sat on the deck to work and it was a great location.

The only person who seemed unhappy at work was a female bartender who appeared bothered.

The location is perfect for our trip purpose. The check in was simple and informative. This is the 2nd annual trip and we will stay here next time as well!

Breakfast was okay, the coffee dispensers were confusing, broken or empty, was hard to tell. There was variety in the options, but the options weren't fabulous. I love a waffle maker, would love to see that next time.

The property is very close to the Red Hat Amphitheater, which is why I chose it. My room was clean and very comfortable. It felt like home away from home. I like how the property is decorated. The breakfast served was delicious. I like how the kitchen was fully stocked and the coffee pot and dishwasher were easy to use. The desk workspace included is very nice for those who have to bring work with them on leisure trips.

Not all the trash cans in my room had liners in them. When housekeeping visited to tidy my room, they forgot to replace our washcloths. These are small inconveniences, but considering how pricey the room was, I wish the attention to detail had been better.

The staff was beyond exceptional. Everyone was very friendly and informative. The lady at the front desk when I arrived was an absolute pleasure to deal with. If I ever go back to Raleigh I will be booking a room there. Breakfast buffet was phenomenal. The area was fantastic! I felt very safe in the hotel, you needed your key card to use the elevator and to get in after hours.

There really was not anything I did not like. I have no complaints.

The overall feel and location was good. The rooftop terrace restaurant and lounge was great.

The furnishings in the room were a bit tired. Housekeeping never came by to see if there was anything we needed or if we wanted our room cleaned.

Comfortable room and bed. Lots of variation in breakfast served on China plates and real silverware- no plastic for the trash. We had one dinner in the restaurant which was very good. Restaurant recommendations by staff were right on.

Very noisy AC system.

Location was great. Close to the Audio Advice Live event I was there for. Parking garage was very convenient but wish it were free.

Although breakfast was free, was really hoping they had a waffle maker. Sunday’s breakfast (second day) food was not as good as Saturday’s. Wish the property had a pool.

Very clean room , bathroom and kitchen, staff was exceptional, the complimentary breakfast bar was the best we have ever had. We didn’t get a chance to have the cocktail hour on the roof, but we will on our next stay at the Residence ! Very roomy and bed was comfortable, great view, we were on the 7th floor. Absolutely loved our stay there!

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like about it.

Location was great for the show we went to see. We had a great view and the staff was all very very friendly

The graduations happening at the same time made parking and driving tough. Not their fault
