The hotel was lovely with a great garden outside. Help yourself drink and snack buffet, with honesty box. Breakfast was delicious and we were encouraged to make sandwiches for later. The owners were very friendly.

The wifi really didn't work at all which was a bit of a pain. The bed wasn't the most comfy of our stay, although the room itself was lovely. I'm not sure if the host spoke English, she was very happy to chatter away in German but luckily we got the gist of it and she recommended a great restaurant for supper.

Great location in the middle of town. Great breakfast. Very helpful and friendly host. Hot and cold drinks made available in a communal area in the hotel. Free car parking nearby in a parking lot near (but not adjoining) the hotel.

The room was small and really needed air conditioning in the hot weather whilst we were there. Lack of tea / coffee making facilities in the room. The shower cubicle leaked, flooding the bathroom , which I had to mop up using towels before the water spread to the carpeted area.

The room was at the top floor under a slanted roof. A lot of wood was used for the floor, beds, part of the ceiling and furniture. One of the walls is painted light green. The bathroom was clean and convenient. The breakfast at the Bakery underneath the Hotel is superb! Only croissants were missing!

The room was cooled with two ventilators. One ceiling ventilator above the beds and one mobile standing ventilator. Under a slanted roof this isn't sufficient. Especially at warm days in the Summer. Air conditioning would improve comfort greatly. When we arrived it took 10 minutes to fiend someone to provide the key for the front door and room. The parking is situated 150 meters across the street.

The breakfast included a wide variety of meats, cheeses, a huge basket of freshly baked bread (they have a bakery and the breakfast area is there. Also had fresh fruit, cucumbers, tomatoes real soft h boiled egg . All beautifully presented . The Maase family do a great job , and Mrs Maase is a gracious host . I have stayed here for 26 years , so I know the place well . There is a lounge area with stocked with snacks, beer . Wine etc. very nice back patio and nice sauna.

Our triple room was really spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The enclosed garden was wonderful and much appreciated by our dog! The host is so welcoming and breakfast in the next-door bakery was amazing. The village is fairly small and quiet but there are a couple of really nice restaurants, and there is a great bar just a short walk away on the river.

It wasn’t a particularly warm weekend but I expect the room could be quite hot in high summer. Although the bed was really large and comfortable, it was a bit creaky! But these small negatives didn’t spoil our stay at all.

We booked this stay as an overnight stop off on the way back to Rotterdam ferry. The studio room was very comfortable for a family of four, and the breakfast was possibly the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. It was a hearty feast of excellent food. The lady who runs the hotel was incredibly friendly and the town itself was a delight to walk around. Shame we only stayed one night.

Excellent location, cozy interior, nice view of the castle from the cheapest room in the hotel, very nice and hospitable owners and staff. Breakfast was very nice as well, various, but without hot dishes (which is absolutely fine and expected for this category of hotel). Very good cappuccino was also included.

Friendly helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Personal touch at breakfast time is lovely, plentiful amount of food and if you don't eat it all you can pack up and take with you, which is great for cyclists or a journey home. Great bar situated on the Rhine a short distance away, easy walk to Marksburg Castle from the hotel. A few good restaurants within walking distance. Boppard river ferry is a short distance away for days out. Recommend asking for a quiet room as you can hear traffic noise at the front of the hotel.

The property was a great location near the harbour for a boat ride and for the hike up to see the Marksburg castle. The hotel had free parking which was great then we could walk everywhere. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was incredible. They let us use our leftovers to make sandwiches for lunch.

Real gem of a place, excellent location for exploring the small old town and riverside. Had a very quiet room, stunning views of the castle from the terrace garden, especially at night. Quirky
