I decided to book a private room on the Camino as I needed a break from Albergues. The room was modern, clean and delightfully warm for winter. I'd been used to staying in cold dorm rooms - so this made a pleasant change.

Given that this is a short stop from Agueda on the Camino, pilgrims have to wait for a long time before they can check in. Do consider this when you're timing your departure from Agueda. For a town with a statue of a pilgrim in the main square, called "Albergaria" I was very surprised this hotel didn't have a Camino stamp. The civic buildings and churches nearby were closed. I was lucky enough to find a stamp at a local restaurant which was a relief. This was a considerable surprise considering the Camino branding is all over town and on the hotel door.

As a light sleeper, I really loved the dark room. It's the darkest I've been in and appreciated it so much. I also LOVED the shower and shower pressure. A great shower off the camino feels amazing! Although I didn't utilize it, I loved knowing I could have used the kitchen to make a meal, store food, etc. The location was a 1/4 block from the route and a great spot for the night. The bed was comfortable, and the sheets/blankets were cozy.

The only thing I didn't love, because I'm a light sleeper, is the noise from others in the space. I heard when they arrived, showered, got up, etc. It probably wouldn't bother most.

So cosy and homey, one of the best accommodation on my Camino way during three weeks. The owner really cares for us, pilgrims, as so many nice small touches which make our life a bit easier. Bag of tea and coffee were in my room to welcome me on my arriving on drizzling day, cattle and coffee machine is in the kitchen on the ground floor. Shampoo provided had a smell of 5 star hotel's in Dubai, so nice! And each room has a name of one of the kings of Portugal, and some information about him in the room-culture and history included) And it is right on Camino!

We enjoyed our night here while walking the Camino. It is clearly designed with pilgrims in mind. The shared kitchen and dining areas were large and well-organized. Every room has a bin with their room number in the refrigerator and in the pantry to store food. We had picked up dinner and breakfast food at the Intermarche supermarket on our way into town and had no problems storing everything in the bins provided for us, and then preparing our meals in the nicely equipped kitchen. Our room was small but had everything we needed. The shower was especially great.

There is a large enclosed outdoor area in the back that only had one small table and a bench. With all that open space, it would be nice to have more tables and chairs where guests can enjoy being outside during good weather.

It was easy to find and get in as good direction provided. Lovely clean house, spacious and well laid out. We had the place to ourselves until 9pm when other guests arrived. Room spacious and clean, good hot water for shower. Kitchen had all basics to cook with and they gave you 2 coffee pods. Secure storage for bikes in back yard.

Stove very hard to work, the sensor touch not working well. No actual staff all done remotely.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Self-serve checkin was glitchy, but received an immediate response upon messaging the facility - so no delay in getting room. Clean rooms, good self-serve kitchen. Bathroom was shared between two rooms, appreciated that they made the effort to have your own bathroom when the facility was not full.

The place was perfect in every way. The location was close to the Camino, great food options (as well as an excellent kitchen at Up) and a laundry. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had plenty of hot water and a towel heater. Brilliant! Staff couldn’t have been more friendly AND there was a fantastic patio.

Location is great. Right on the Camino de Santiago. The lady working here was a most gracious person. Friendly and tried to help us with anything we needed. Well stocked kitchen to cook meals.

Trying to make the place smell good, they have plug in type air fresheners which are overpowering. The hotel is clean enough...they don't need to add scents.

Perfect location right on the Camino. The space was simple but exceptionally clean and comfortable. We were able to do laundry on the patio and hang it to dry. We did not use the kitchen except to make coffee, but it appeared to be well equipped. Nice shared space with the dining table and comfortable couch. Would highly recommend.

Nothing bad

The rooms were very quiet, even with the dj party happening in the main square, we didn't hear anything. Very cosy and the fact that we could use the shared kitchen to prepare our meals was a nice surprise. Everything was very clean and organized, even with separate boxes in the fridge, for each apartment.

We would prefer a single bed, but ended up with twin beds.
