Always a pleasure to stay at The Carlton Suites. More parking has been added. Always clean. Easy walk to a few good eateries. Not a lot of street noise at night.

The door to the upstairs apartments needs a good oil. It made a horrible noise every time someone opened it and a worse noise when self closing.

The room was spotless and quite modern. We were a little worried when we arrived as the property looks very ordinary from the street but a lovely surprise when we entered our room. Really good value for money and an easy walk into town to shop and eat dinner. We pass through often and I’ve stayed at 5 different places, the most recent 4 or 5 stays at a property that is almost 3 x this cost and too far out to walk into town. We will definitely be back.

The external appeal of the property is poor but no indication of friendiness of the staff and comfort of the room.

I didn't expect much as it was one of thecheaper hotels in Golburn.On arrival it looked sad badly needing a paint job, when we checked in we were greeted by the lovely receptionist who was very friendly. When we got to our room it was lovely, renovated bathroom and bedroom. Lovely and clean. We were very surprised. You can see that the owners are trying to create a good experience with tables and plants in the hallway. I would highly recommend this hotel

Nothing it was excellent

The room was good but that was all that was good!!

When we arrived, the door was locked, and we could not find anybody there at all on the premises. Two other couples turned up while I was phoning the contact number I found on the paperwork. The gentleman on the phone was very non-committal and said, "oh I will be there in 10-15 minutes." We waited at least 20 minutes and there was no apology. Once he was there, he checked us in, and I was extremely surprised that we did not have to fill in any paperwork. I also asked if there was a ground floor room as we are elderly and he said I can see your email about this, but we did not respond to you and your room is upstairs. So, we had to climb up 16 steps very carefully. The "staff" service was very disappointing to say the least!!

The room was spacious, the shower was excellent, beds were comfy, bowls plates mugs and cutlery were provided with a fridge and microwave, which meant we could dine in sometimes. It was clean and quiet. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but the rooms are renovated and pleasant inside. It's a great location very central to town and the local park for kids.

It was a room for 4 but the table and chairs were for 2. A couple of fold up chairs in the cupboard would be good for the extra guests. More hooks or towel racks would also be good.

Rooms freshly renovated with Toaster, kettle, Microwave and plates bowls etc. bed was comfortable, fresh and clean Although older building room was a pleasant surprise. Nicely done, everything we needed for a one night stay on the road. Big TV good picture. Parking at back and off street. Happy with our choice Great value

Don't judge a book by its cover. The outside of the building doesn't have much appeal but the rooms are great .

The room was well appointed, well thought out, clean, and functional. There was a microwave a large fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, milk and biscuits. There was a set of toiletries and the bathroom and the entire room very clean

The public areas of the property let the place down a bit. It needs a good sweep and clean. The pathways were untidy the front foyer could be smarter. The hallway was made of hard surfaces which made it a little bit noisy but only slightly

Location was perfect, right next to woolies and the info centre where we were being picked up for a wedding so everything was walking distance. Don’t be fooled by the exterior of the place because the rooms were lovely. Rooms are spacious and clean. Thank you to the staff for locating my wallet I had left behind on New Years Day and keeping it safe 😅 lesson learnt; remember to check every space before leaving 🤦🏼‍♀️

It was 2 minutes walk from the station, it was next to the famous bookshop and it was a short walk to the main street. The room was large, newish and the TV quite large. Large shower with a rain head.

There wasn't much room to change in the bathroom. Someone entered the room while we were there - their room key opened our door and there wasn't a way to lock it from the inside.

The room was spotless! Fresh fittings and bathroom. The guy at reception was helping his sister out and wasn't totally sure what he was doing, but could not have been nicer!

Don't let the facade turn you off. The front of the motel is very, very old. We were very worried when we first arrived, but the room more than made up for the dodgy first impression.
