Villa Cimbrone is a gorgeous property with superb view above Amalfi coast. Our dinner at Michelin starred restaurant was exquisite, with a fun sommelier tolerating our idiosyncrasies. The gardens were lovely. Seeing them morning or evening when non-residential visitors are not there is ideal. Our room had lovely patio. We are only sorry we didn’t have sufficient time to enjoy several other common spaces.

The only shortcoming are transport options up from Ravello. First, golf cart for bags could be done more expeditiously. Second, an option for golf cart ride up to villa for elderly guests also would be nice—walk up hill is pleasant but strenuous. Third, the villa might want to be more helpful arranging taxi service—taxis proved difficult to get.

The views are absolutely stunning and the building and gardens are full of traditional old school Italian charm, the food and selection of wines was amazing, living up to it's Michelin recommendation. Some reviewers had mentioned the 10m walk to the hotel from the town of Ravello, we found this to be a very pleasant experience, a lovely walk through Ravello after lunch. There was a wedding on while we there, but this just added to the charm in our opinion.

Nothing really, I will definitely stay here again and for longer, the only issue is how busy and tight the Amalfi coastal road is, but that's nothing to do with the hotel.

Excellent choices for breakfast. The breakfast is served on a terrace overlooking the Amalfi coast. The location of the hotel is very unique, in the corner of a beautifully manicured old garden perched over the cliff over the Amalfi coast . Absolutely stunning views from all corner of the hotel.

Minor issue- the quality of the cocktails in the pool side bar might need to be revised and improved- we did not feel it was matching the otherwise very high standard’s of the hotel and its restaurants.

The Villa and its gardens were spectacular, the staff were very kind and helpful, I had to phone reception because our air-conditioning wasn't working and they had it sorted straight away, the room was exceptionally clean and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with an excellent choice including some cooked options. Couldn't fault the service either. We had a wonderful stay.

The room was very hot, even when reception sorted out the air-conditioning it seemed to be stuck on 27 degrees, but we just opened the window so wasn't a problem for us.

The room was expensive and was very, very small, located above the paid entrance to the gardens on one side, and the other side was overlooking a small courtyard that acted like an echo chamber, so very noisy in the morning and impossible to sleep in.

The location is fantastic, the gardens and the views are beautiful. The breakfast is top, fantastic terrace, very nice service

Villa Cimbrone has this fantastic location, but they have to make up their mind: do they want to be a 5* hotel (but then the rooms, bathrooms etc. need urgent refurbishment), or is it a wedding location? Both is difficult to reconcile, and it can then be noisy in your room by the party, music and guests. Overall, the hotel striked us as being under-managed.

One of the most magnificent hotels on earth! Such a beautiful villa, mind-blowing views of the sea, and some of the most spectacular gardens I've ever seen. The pool was dreamy, the breakfast was 5 star, the restaurant is Michelin-rated, even the tearoom in the gardens was lovely for sitting under umbrellas to enjoy the views. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. They deftly arranged for our transportation to Sorrento upon departure when we realized there were no more ferry tickets. The town of Ravello is incredibly charming although you do need to have good walking shoes to get to and from the hotel from town since taxis can only take you so far. Villa Cimbrone does have a complimentary service to take your luggage to and from the hotel for you which is definitely recommended. An all around magical experience staying here for all 4 in our party.

the place is just amazing! the gardens, the hotel and views… one of the most beautiful places we have ever been too! we ate at the Michelin star restaurant and this is something I will remember for the rest of my life! the food was incredible and the staff so lovely!

there was a wedding on our first night and we were asked twice to leave the garden as they thought we were tourists. we didn’t quite enjoy that. also, we slept really bad as we had a room under the rooftop and as it was raining there was a lot of noise. better to ask a room elsewhere and check if there is a wedding going on as you feel like you are a little excluded

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever visited in my life. The hotel itself, the gardens, above all, the setting, which is indescribably gorgeous. It is a Bucket List stay.

My only - tiny - objection, and this may well be because it was the end of a long season for them, is that some of the staff were a little jaded. Just that little bit short of the service you ideally hope for in a place such as this.

The hotel is beautiful, the apartment is extremely comfortable, each room, each corridor is beautiful, especially the ceramic floors, which are beautiful. The gardens are a highlight in themselves, much more beautiful than in the photos, we went in autumn, I was imagining what it would be like in spring.

I missed a heated pool and a better gym.
