The hotel exceeded my expectations, especially considering the very reasonable price I paid for my room. The staff were friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom and air-con; the mini-fridge was also much appreciated. Although there was a small amount of noise from the railway line, I slept very well in the comfy bed. The hotel's location is great. I can also thoroughly recommend the restaurant: I ate there several times and all of the meals were delicious, particularly the hake.

Nothing: it was all fabulous!

Tolosa is a modern, inexpensive Hotel, set in a good central location, and within same day travel distance of San Sebastan, Pamplona, Bilboa, St Jean de Luz. It is only 30 mins from several beaches. The girls in reception, Gabriella and Andrea, are wonderful. Beds were comfortable. The room had a balcony which was very nice. The Hotel food is good.

When we first arrived, the graffiti put us right off. We feared we had inadvertently booked a hotel in a very dangerous part of town. We were very close to cancelling and battling the Hotel over the late cancellation. Thankfully, that proved not to be the case. Graffiti is very common place in Spain from what we could make out. The Hotel is in a very safe location. Once we got our bearings, we allowed our children to wander around town by themselves. It is a very safe town, with families out and about very late at night. We had dinner one night in Casa Julian. We felt ripped off. It is definitely a tourist trap. Our meal came to almost 300 euro for 4 people, which is 3 times the average price for dinner elsewhere. Avoid.

Parking was not easy and free parking was ten/fifteen minutes walk away. On a first visit to Tolosa this seemed a major problem but on any future visits, now we know the area, maybe not such a problem. Also, the Booking. Com photo is of the adjoining building and not really showing the Hotel.

The hotel and restaurant were well kept. The quaintness of the boutique restaurant. It was located in the plaza. The rooms were huge. This hotel and town were awesome and the surprise of the trip! Definitely eat at the restaurant! Food was great and the prices were fair.

A few small things, but if we had to be picky; coffee from the machine wasn’t free, the train is outside your window, and the cost of parking if you used the lot blocks from the hotel (15/day! - we parked on the street and plugged the meter -40 cents/hour maybe and free from 7pm-9am)

Everything is very good. The room facing the main city square is extremely comfortable, modern and equipped with everything of high quality. If the window is closed then nothing to hear from the outside. Excellent triple isolation glass. Very comfortable twin beds. Very good AC and excellent WiFi. Extremely clean. We eat dinner in the restaurant twice which was very good. We didn’t take breakfast there because there was a very good coffee shop at the corner with very good coffee and very fresh cakes and bread which was enough for us. The poppets museum (a most see) us next door.

No views facing the mountains

Staying at the Bide Bide was one of the very best hotel experiences I've ever had, and I've travelled a great deal, going back to the 1970s. From the warm welcome, to the helpful advice on the town, to the very comfortable room, the delightful art (including the fantastic puppets!), and the very friendly bar/restaurant with great breakfasts/lunches, I could not wish for better. I look forward to returning to a slightly bigger room with my wife, and one with views out on the plaza, that would be icing on the cake! Mil Esker, Gracias, Thank you!

A modern, nicely decorated small hotel, very cozy and super clean. Our room was spacious and completely quiet and dark at night. Very good value for money—we enjoyed a weekend in a small town close enough to San Sebastian and hiking routes.

The mattress could be better :( There is no parking, but they recommend some around.

Updated hotel. Modern, clean and comfortable. The restaurant/bar located next door is also very nice and service is great.

Location is not the most attractive. Lots of graffiti. Parking is about three blocks away and difficult to get back to the hotel driving from the parking lot. Which is a complicated process in itself.

Wonderful Hotel, perfect location, very helpful staff who helped recommend the best places to eat. Beautiful Tolosa. Extremely clean and basic - perfect room. Would highly recommend this hotel. Fantastic restaurant attached.

I agree with the person who said this place should be more than two stars! It is just gorgeous- clean, central, easy to check in and out, etc. I don’t know if I’ll have occasion to return to Tolosa, but I want to, just to stay here again! Value for price is off the charts.
