Wow, it's a stunning hotel, beautifully and tastefully decorated and everything perfect and more than you expect. Thanks for the complimentary snacks and drinks. The hotel looks like a little swiss chalet on the mountainside. We loved the attention to detail and the flowers everywhere. It was close to the highway so it was easy to continue our journey but not too close to anything so we stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the facilities there. It was also close to the Caminho Santiago route. Nothing was too much trouble and our dogs were welcome. The breakfast was outstanding and well presented. The best we experienced in our 3 week vacation - with a delicious fruit salad and scrambled egg and bacon included as well as more. Lots of parking available Thank you guys for a memorable stay and we would highly recommend this as a perfect stop off.

We originally planned to stay here for just one night - as a stopover on our way from Bordeaux to Madrid. But literally right after checking in, we decided to stay more. It’s one of those rare places that feels so soulful, cozy, and warm that you simply don’t want to leave. This is a boutique hotel with a true atmosphere of love and care. It’s a family-run business and an incredibly soulful place. You feel that from the way the woman at the front desk welcomes you to the smallest details in the interior. You can truly tell that they loves this place and the guests who come here. Everything is done with taste and genuine attention to the guest. You’ll be served delicious coffee, and throughout the day there are complimentary treats: homemade cake, sangria, wine, snacks, salchichón, water, popcorn… all offered freely, just out of a sincere wish to make guests feel happy and welcome. The hotel is located in a peaceful spot, surrounded by nature, with a small stream flowing right beneath the windows. It’s the perfect place to reset: to listen to the birds, relax, and feel true comfort. We’ve visited over 30 countries - and honestly, we’ve never experienced this level of hospitality before. And yes - you should definitely book more than one night if you can. But even if you stay just one night, you’ll leave feeling like you’ve been somewhere truly special.

Staff were so kind and friendly, even helping us to the car with our luggage. Love that the hotel is baby- and dog-friendly and the room/beds are very clean and comfortable.

The hotel has main roads on both sides. There’s no problem with road noise in the rooms but it’s not a great view from the garden. Breakfast is lovely but overpriced. Would also have liked to be asked our preferences on breakfast before it being served - since we were given meat as part of it, which we don’t eat.

Nice hotel, with lots of parking space. Very friendly and helpful staff. A special mention of the amazing breakfast; it made our morning. There were some tidbits available to grab on evening, if needed.

The main thing - the humidity and dampness of the room (and the corresponding smell). Turning on conditioning for a time didn't really help. Maybe the location is near the road, so there were occasional car sounds at night. It's a bit on the expensive side, considering that breakfast is not included.

The staff were simply wonderful, greeting us warmly and ensuring our stay was perfect. We were delighted to find complimentary cakes, salami, sparkling wine, whiskey, and other hard liquors, available in the common area, free of charge—a lovely touch that made us feel pampered and relaxed after our travels. The hotel boasts a lovely sunbathing area between the property and a serene creek, providing a perfect spot to unwind. The dining area also offers a picturesque view of the creek, enhancing our dining experience. Our room was beautifully designed, featuring charming decor elements like a sculptured pot with live plants and appealing teacups that made us feel right at home. We appreciated the variety of pillows to choose from, catering to our comfort preferences. The duvet was an actual feather one, a rare find these days as most are synthetic, which made our sleep even more luxurious and comfortable. Highly recommend this delightful boutique hotel to anyone visiting near San Sebastian. It's a true haven of tranquility and hospitality for a very reasonable price.

The whole hotel was designed and decorated with a lot of love and the staff super friendly. They had complimentary bubbly and snacks (sweet and salty) which was amazing. The breakfast was also really good and extremely big for the small price that you pay for it. Overall I recommend everyone this hotel if you don’t mind taking the car to Orio because it is directly at the main street. Positive was, that you could park your car in front of the hotel.

They made the best out of the location since it is located right next to this big road. But when you’re in the hotel, you don’t realize it.

The room was very clean and had a large comfortable bed. Beautiful decor and a lovely bathroom. Small minibar fridge and espresso maker in the room. The owner has an eye for the details.... umbrella available and chocolates on the bed. Beautiful breakfast available and lovely and helpful staff.

Right next to a busy road. Didn't really use the terrace due to the noise (and the weather ☁️) Not much storage space and we could have used a lounge chair or couch but then again, the room was too small.

This is a very pleasant hotel, small and rather tucked away. You are within a couple of minutes of the motorway to Bilbao or San Sebastian but you feel you are in the middle of the countryside. The rooms are very daintily decorated but are good. One of us is coeliac and the hotel managed the necessary food care extremely well. Breakfast was very good and varied.

When will hotels learn that when we travel we have a toilet bag that needs to sit somewhere in the bathroom. A decent shelf would do.

highlights are the lovely and helpful hosts and their staff !!! nicely decorated building and well equiped room. nice terrace and garden. minibar in the room is a plus. nice breakfast in a atmospheric breakfastroom. so lovely. possibility to dinner. free parking. Orio is nearby and lively. nice beach on a 5 minute drive from the hotel.

Txanka Erreka was beautifully decorated, very clean, nice toiletries, lots of space in room and the cake stand style breakfast was full of goodies. We received a friendly welcome, with information on the area provided. The snack bar provided good menu of light meals. Easy access to San Sebastián and Atilla Beach in Orio was great fun, with waves for surfers.

We felt we were a little too close to the main road and the highway, which was noisy with the windows open. Also difficult to pull out on to the road, with the entrance/exit on a bend.
