Incredible location set in the bush/rainforest between Tathra on the coast and Bega. Each cottage is close enough to each other for family holidays but set enough apart to still be secluded from others. Unlike most places, the TV was HUGE! The beds were extremely comfy and the size of the shower was amazing - including the incredible rain shower head with great water pressure!

The cottage didn't have an oven, which made cooking a little tricky - we did get creative to cook garlic bread in a fry pan on the stove top though. The fireplace was also a little unusual and made it tricky to get lit properly - most likely user error LOL

Spacious self-contained cabin. Large bedroom with comfortable bed. Well-appointed kitchen-so we could make our own meals (saving money on eating out) It was lovely to have an generous veranda with outside table and chairs for alfresco dining. The bush setting was amazing, lots of bird song, kangaroos and we saw a goanna! We loved the lake with the free canoes although we didn't get to use them this time. The same goes for the swimming pool and games room. We did go on an adventurous bush walk. It was also less than 5 minutes drive from beautiful Tathra Beach. It was the perfect "base camp" for exploring the South East.

The cottages are so peaceful. Even when a group of kids were staying, it was a really quiet place to stay. Everything in the cottage was extremely well maintained and clean. Every surface was dust free as even the windows were clean to enjoy the beautiful view of the bush right outside our window. The staff were so friendly and the kids said their day and the kids camp was their favourite day of the holiday! Having access to the activities while staying was a nice touch, as our days finished with a game of mini golf, which we don't get to do often.

The beds weren't the most comfortable we have ever had BUT this accommodation was such great value for money and everyone was so friendly and it was so clean that this is the least of your worries if you choose to stay here.

Kianinny Bush Cottages were fantastic! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and provided great suggestions on activities and local attractions. We had a long weekend away with 4 family groups, and staff accommodated our every need including locating us all in close vicinity of each other. The kids were entertained constantly by the numerous activities available on site: mini golf, zip line, canoeing, archery, games room, volleyball, basketball, walking trails, and mountain biking. The cottages were only 3.5km from Tathra. Cottages were comfortable, and we loved having a kitchenette and the fireplace. There was so much wildlife, including ecidnas! I could not fault our time at Kianninny Bush Cottages, and we will make the effort to be back again!

Nothing- it was all amazing!

Accommodation was good, the unit size was spacious, clean and tidy. The beds were fine (not luxurious, but comfortable for our needs). The surrounding bushland was lovely, and I felt very much a part of nature. Great to have a second parking space for visitors. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, we got a free upgrade, and everyone seemed really approachable. :-D

My main bed seemed slightly old, as though it slightly sagged as though the mattress was well used. This was not a big issue, and other guests may not have noticed this (I like a firmer bed). There could have been more additional blankets in the cupboards. We borrowed blankets from my family who we were visiting. This is certainly a minor quibble.

I Ioved the bush setting with the bonus is being 5 minutes to a great beach. The cabins were well spaced which provided enough privacy to really enjoy the quiet environment. It had lots of activities for kids and adults such as putt putt, canoeing, swimming pool as well as pool table and more.

The screen door wouldn’t close and I would love to see a screen that closed to allow the door to remain open for air and to keep the flies and mosquitoes out.

The cabin was lovely, with views through the trees to the lake/pond. There was plenty of space as there were only 2 of us. The outdoor area was well sited, seeing it was winter and we could sit on the veranda until dark. The kitchen was appropriately stocked and the shower was hot and the water was plentiful. The staff were very helpful and responsive, as well as knowledgeable about local walks and eateries. Although we ran out of time, the walks around the park looked lovely, as did the flying (for summer use I think).

Initially we were told there was firewood for the potbelly stove and there was, only we needed a better mix of small and middle size pieces. After we mentioned we were a bit cold overnight and the stove was smokey, the staff quickly reprovisioned the firewood, gave us heaters and made sure the cabin was toasty warm when we arrived from a day out. This was really appreciated.

Recommend staying here at least once, and definitely more than one night, if you’re into nature, privacy of your own cottage, amazing staff and activities! Our first night we were lucky enough to have the lake to ourselves and spent time kayaking. Second night, we had mini golf to ourselves and I am still sore from laughing so hard at the fun we had between the four of us. Staff were all so friendly and helpful. We had two possums visit us, and there is the water duck bird (not sure the correct name) but he chills near reception and you are guaranteed to see him every time you pass. Staff and other guests were great in helping me make sure I didn’t hit him with the car as I’m not sure if he is all there, or just the most chilled water duck bird in NSW, maybe Australia, maybe even the world. The kayaking and golf were at no extra charge and complimentary with the stay.

Sadly the flying fox wasn’t running, however, staff explained it ran during school holidays so we will just have to come back! That’s the only complaint really. Not a proper complaint at all.

The cottages were really fresh, clean, and well resourced with basic kitchen supplies. The bushland setting (sounds and smells) was magnificent 👌 exactly what I needed. My 20y.o.d. and I also enjoyed a few challenging rounds of mini golf. The location was also central for lots of great day trips. I would recommend Kianinny to anyone, it suits families, couples, adventurers and those seeking down time. I also saw a lyre bird!

We liked everything about this spacious property. Comfortable beds, large kitchen with all utensils needed to make our in house cooking and bar b q excellent. The shower room was also very spacious and the whole unit extremely clean. Because we arrived at the start of the spring period it was lovely and quiet and we used all the facilities with ease. We would recommend this place to everyone.
