The most amazing view and your own private balcony! Super friendly staff, easy check in and super grateful they space the guest out between rooms, some motels place all guests right next to each other because apparently it’s easier with the cleaning. But it’s always nice to have some space and more privacy so thank you 🤩 there’s a newly updated motel just a bit further down the road that I’ve stayed at, it was nicely renovated but you don’t have a view like this and no balcony, with the path to the rooms right outside your window so not much privacy either. And you could hear a pin drop in the room next door. So I much prefer kingfisher, old school great motel with the best view in town. It was magical having breakfast on the balcony watching the sun rise over the ocean.

If you like breathtaking scenery and amazing birdlife and kangaroos and wallabies visiting the gardens this is the place for you. The owners Janine and Baron went well and truly out of their way to make us welcome. Unfortunately we lost our car in a flash flood in Pambula and Janine and Baron came to our rescue and helped us out immensely. The unit was spotless and the pool was clean and refreshing. Lovely stay, thank you J and B for your tremendous hospitality!

The view was stunning! The room was basic, just like most motel rooms, but it was very comfy and well equipped. It’s solid brick so kept sound out and stayed cool in the heat. The balcony overlooking Merimbula has a beautiful place to sit and watch the birds and the ocean. Everything was clean but not with overly fragranced products - better for my allergies than most places, I really appreciated that. It’s on a hill overlooking Merimbula and gives the impression of being just outside of the town so quite peaceful though it’s really close to the centre.

I can’t think of anything to improve.

The staff is really nice and friendly. Accommodate our late check in, helped with the barbecue and gifted us a nice bottle for new years! The facilities are really good. you need a car to go to the beach and city center. Loved the birds and kangaroos that came for a visit in the morning.

We paid a bit more because of last booking andt the time of the year.

The Location was excellent Janine & Baron were excellent hosts, the rooms were always clean. Thank you both for looking after us, on our Adventure south. :)

Janine & Baron are excellent hosts & they care for the natural wild life that visits thier property. Lorrikets, Cockatoos & Kangaroos which definately made our visit more memorable. :)

Bed was super comfy and the room had all the utencils and extra linen you could think of or need. The view was stunning and the location was quiet, for a long weekend I seldom saw or heard any of the other guests and the car park was fun. Hosts were lovely and friendly. A little dated but clean and in good maintained condition.

From my initial booking enquiry to the greeting on arrival, everything was really well done. The owners obviously take great pride in their Motel as everything was so clean and tidy and well set out. The views across the bay was magical. A very quiet location with a comfortable bed made it a really relaxing stay.

I'm not sure if it was the occasion—New Year's Eve—the company—or the beautiful location—but we had such an amazing time. The big balcony looked out over the lake, the ocean, and the fireworks. Even though there were people around, it was quiet. It was close to town and the wildlife was amazing. The owners were lovely too.

Great stay and awesome hotel. So nice being able to open the balcony door and the view was incredible. Watched the birds and the kangaroos while looking at the seaview. The Hosts are wonderful and friendly and even gave me home made muffins for my husband’s birthday Highly recommend.

The view from my room is spectacular - set on a hill high above Merimbula. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. Room was very clean and had everything I needed. Staff are super friendly and remembered me from 5 years ago. Very quiet location. Welcome glass of wine was a special touch.
